((FYI for anyone who cares, Elesariin is taking Nalani instead o' me.))

Hyn took both of the Gerudo's cuts with a raised shield. They scraped off the wood, taking little chunks with them. Hyn cursed. If he'd taken the cuts on the edge, he could've trapped the swords and taken them away from his foe. As he stood, he still had his disadvantage, no spear, no bow with which to force a dismount. So he had to fight onto the horse, or at least get the Gerudo off. That might be challenging...

Nalani cursed as he blocked her blades on his shield. Her horse carried her past him, and she jerked on the reins, turning it around. She took stock of his position and stance, then spurred her horse into a charge again. He was obviously a trained warrior, so the first thing he would try to do was get rid of the advantage she had in her mount; she could turn at the last moment and throw him off balance.

Artanis ignored her and walked over to the great wall that separated the palace from Hyrule field, carefully gaging the height. He'd actually never done this bit before, but it didn't seem too difficult. He nodded sharply, then turned back to the Princess.

"Alright," he said softly, so as not to alert any guards, "Take this." He pulled out the ancient-looking clawed device and handed it to her. "Shoot it up, and it will catch on that tree branch." He pointed to a branch that hung continently some six feet above the top of the wall. He couldn't have planned it better. "There will be some vines on the other side; just climb down. You do know the way to Kakoriko, don't you?" He didn't wait for a reply, as he already knew she did. "There's a horse on the other side. Ride straight to Kakoriko. Don't stop, no matter what." He turned and started walking away. "Good luck, Your Highness." With that, he vanished into the shadows.

Zelda stared after the young man, but made no attempt to call him back. After a moment, she looked down at the device in her hand, frowning thoughtfully. Still examining it, she sat carefully down on the cool grass; she wasn't going to try using the strange claw-chain until she was certain she'd calmed down enough.

Inariie walked back into the entrance hall and skidded to a stop. "Sila?" she called, incredulous, "What are you doing here?"

Hyn tightened up as the Gerudo charged back at him, but this time her speed wasn't quite the same. It was a subtle difference, but it wasn't lost on the warrior. He had a vague idea that the Gerudo wasn't coming in to pass by this time. What she was doing was uncertain, but it might give him a chance to press forward if she slowed more and gave him more time.

At the last moment, she swerved her horse away. Hyn had not moved, but he had begun to lean forward in anticipation of the attack. Now he had to move, so he slid one foot out and twisted, giving a powerful thrust meant to (hopefully) punch the Gerudo off her horse. He wasn't incredibly hopeful, though; he wasn't close enough to get proper power.

Nalani grunted and caught the sword with her own two, skillfully turning her horse with her knees and simultaneously twisting her own two blades around his. Hopefully, the force of the turn combined with her own movements would send his weapon spinning out of his hand.

Somehow, just somehow, it didn't. Instead of letting the blade twisted, Hyn twisted himself, bringing the sword around against his back. With newly gained leverage, he twisted again and pulled his blade clean from the Gerudo's. This was going to be more challenging than he thought. He settled back down into a squared position. No way he was going to take the offensive with a horse-mounted fighter.

Nalani gritted her teeth, trying hard not to lose her temper; she knew well that it could cost her her life, especially against someone as good as this. And he was very good, she thought grudgingly.

Alright, she obviously had to rethink her strategy. He was going to try and get her off her horse, that was obvious enough. She needed to do something that he couldn't predict. Suddenly she smiled, and brought her horse around; a moment later, she was charging again. This was going to be fun.

Hyn tightened down again. A fast charge. It looked like she was going to pass through. He needed to be ready to turn fast, so he put some of his weight into the balls of his feet. His sword came down in front of him, aiding his shield in guarding himself.

Nalani watched as he leaned forward on the balls of his feet, probably in order to be ready to turn. Fine by me, she thought. She waited until her horse was in range, then flipped off it's back, and over her target's head, landing gracefully in a catlike crouch directly behind him. Instantly, she chambered and kicked at his back. With his weight already off center, this would send his face into the grass. She hoped. If it didn't she had officially given up her advantage.

Zelda sat in the grass for a good ten minutes, though she had calmed herself down in less than three. First she took off her decorative metal shoulder guards, then removed her jewelry and light catching trinkets, including her crown. She also took off her long white gloves and the heavily embroidered bit of cloth that hung down from her belt.

With some hesitation, she also removed her elegant purple silk over-shirt; she has afraid she'd get cold, but finally decided the garment made her too recognizable. Lastly, she undid her hair, letting it fall past her waist. It would be irritating while she was riding, but it did make her look completely different.

Finally she got to her feet and took stock. She was now wearing the simple white under-dress, with no light catching jewels or metallics. Her hair, she realized, pulling a hand full of the stuff forward to inspect, could present a similar problem; the moonlight had turned it a silver-blonde the positively glowed. Of course, the spell that made her dim, or difficult to notice, would take care of that, but the spell took energy to maintain, and energy was something that she was in great danger of running out of.

Well, there was nothing to be done about it. Hopefully by the time the spell failed, she'd be close to Kakoriko. She put the claw-thing on her hand, then leaned down to pick up her bundle of accessories, which she'd wrapped in her over-shirt. Looking up at the tree branch, she took aim. "Here we go," she breathed, and without giving herself a chance to think about it any more, she fired.

((Okay, please tell me someone else got my geeky Steven King reference. I'll cry, people. I swear.))

The move surprised Hyn. He pivoted and took the kick in his shield, but he was still knocked backwards and off balance. He stumbled backwards a few steps. If she pressed, he'd be on his back. That couldn't be allowed.

Nalani cursed under her breath as he caught her kick on his shield, but brightened when she saw him stumble backward. He would be trying to regain his balance, now, which would mean that he would be leaning forward to keep himself from falling back. Well, if he wanted to go forward, forward it would be.

She swung her left leg around, catching him behind the knees, and simultaneously brought her right leg to the indent where his leg met the top of his foot; pushing back with the right and forward with the left would have him eating grass within seconds, and there was a quick and easy way to get him into a lock once he was there.

((AHH! I promise to lose! I WANNA CUPCAKE >.<))

Hyn collapsed all the way onto his back. Now he was in troub.e His foe would surely show no mercy, and he was on his back. On the ground.

He loosened his grasp on his sword and swapped his hand to the dagger at his hip. Drawing it from its sheath, he raised it and his shield a little, giving himself something between him and his foe.
