"Lord Hood, I'm sorry, but I have a wounded team member and I have to go. I'll leave Tex here with you for protection." Liz said to to the Admiral before she jumped back into the Vette and sped off. "About time, Liz!" Tr'oth'la'r said, appearing on the holo projector. "I was getting impatient! The Covenant have a bomb with them, and they plan on blowing up the ship! They already have it planted, and there's almost no time to disarm it!" "Tr'oth'la'r? Is that you?" Alpha said from her smoking helmet. "Upload me into the car now!" "Fine." Liz said, taking out the storage device and input it in the Vette's holo projector. Alpha appeared on the projector, next to Tr'oth. "Ok, now what about a bomb?" Liz asked Tr'oth. "Well, when the Brutes were upgrading the Vette, they were talking about when the bomb should explode and wether they should escape the ship before it blew up, or not. They said that they had about three hours before then, and that it was in the crew's quarters." He explained quickly. "Sounds bad." She said to the dragon. Then she switched over to TEAM-COM. "Hey, Shinta, can you move? If not, then don't bother. Terrance?" "Yes, Liz?" He said, peeking over a corner before being shot at. "There is a bomb in the crew's quarters, and we need you to take it out. Leave the Hunter with-" She was cut off by: "I know, I saw them carry the bomb to the quarters, and now all of us are trapped. The Hunter is out of plasma, and his shield is almost melted through. We've had to resort to guerrila war fare, and it is working." "How long have you been there?" Liz asked, keeping her eyes on the road. "About two hours, why?" He said. "Go for a blitzkrieg, attack them fast and furious, there is only one hour left until that bomb blows us up!" She commanded, fear in her voice. "Alright, you heard the lady. Groth'yug, you go and hit them hard and fast. 'Nossasami, you snipe any grenades that flies toward the Hunter. Gagar, you toss grenades at them. I'll hit them from behind." He said, running over to a dead Jakal's body and retrieving the energy shield. He then ran to a back hallway and and went into the room that the assailents were in, they were occupied by the attack from the other hallway. He snuck over to the bomb and deactivated it, then turned to the enemy forces and primed two plasma grenades and threw them, both adhearing to a Brute, who didn't notice it, and a Grunt, who did, and started to run around before it blew up. The Hunter then crashed through the doorway and killed the rest of them. Liz wasn't paying attention and almost ran over Shelby. "Shelby? Hop in!" Liz said, then unlocked the passenger door.

"Nevermind, Terrance got it." Liz said. "And it was a life-or-death matter. Try to make your way to the engine room, it is too dangerous for a lone Marine on this ship now. If you can't move in a bit, just call me. I'll come and get you."

Shawn reloaded his rocket launcher. He just hilled a hunter with Ash's help. He suddenly picked up the radio waves of Liz's helmet. "Liz!" Shawn said into his COM set, through TAC-COM. As soon as he said that, he heard revv of a Vette's engine. "What? What is it?" Ash used a signal burst transmission to Shawn. "Its Liz!" Shawn replied. They were informed that other SPARANs would be aboard, but they thought it was going to be the newbie SPARTAN III's. Not their close friend*. Ash went forward first, snaking a camera probe around the corner. "Vette incomming! Its Liz!" He reported.

Shinta tried to inch himself along, but felt a sudden sharp pain in his leg, "Ahh what the heck!" he shouted. He slowly pulled up the leg of his pants, "Oh my god... Um, Liz, you might want to come pick me up..." he slowly said through the mike. He stare at his leg, a bone had ripped through the skin and was penetrateing through his left leg, "I'm so glad my parents are dead now, and me not being able to use anymore morphine without oding." he whispered to himself. "Sorry about being such a burden Liz, sorry about the Brutes getting their hands on the Vette, getting hurt, being useless, bitching, and sorry for spilling energy drink in the Vette a while before the at... um, I'm gonna have to put you on hold, there are some friends coming to play..." Shinta slowly raised the gun, ~If I miss a single shot I'm dead... I'm so glad I took those two hours to get my weapons.~ he thought to himself as he steadied his shaking hand. Through the radio there were three gun shots, followed by returned fire.

(I know, I read Halo: Ghosts of Onyx. Yeah, but thats for when the Spartan Laser comes out.)
Shawn climbed to the top of the Vette. Ash climbed inside whileSelby climbed into the back. Ash popped his MA5 Assault Rifle out the window of the Vette. Shawn looked around at his surroundings. Chief Mendez drilled the saying in his head: 'Machines break. Eyes don't'.
(Edit: Kurt didn't go on all of the SPARTAN III's missions. When the whole Alpha Company was killed, Kurt wasn't there. Nor when most of Beta Company died. He was on their last mission, when they destroyed Onyx. But he died because he didn't wear the original MJOLNIR armor, and he set off the Nuke.)

(The Brutes removed the machinegun turret and installed a Triple Brute Shot turret in its place, sorry for ruining your fastfiring fun.)

Liz shot forward, the Vette crushing all in its way with Shawn and Ash taking out any that weren't flattened. "On it Shinta. Send out a reciever pulse so that we can trace you to your position." Liz said, then cut communications. From a side hallway, burst out a Warthog with five Marines on it, Sargeant Major Johnson with them. "Come on maggots! Surely you can drive better than that!!" He was yelling to Private Anderson and Sargeant Therisa. "Hey! I was wondering where you guys were, and Johnson! Good to see ya!" Se yelled from her seat.

"The beacon is in your helmet? What could you possibly have... Don't move. You just activated a proximity mine. The simple way to deactivate it is to push the button that you just pushed. Good luck, mate." Liz said. If he didn't survive, at least they could get to his dead remains of his body in time.
