Mae remained sitting upright, her hands still folded neatly. "The coven was fighting the Hunters. The giant demons bringing chaos in their wake. Draven and I were fighting them, and one got me badly." She moved her hand to her side, holding it there for a moment. "The hunter did what Hunters do best. It tortured me to the point where my mind forgot. It pushed it away. Everything." She stared blankly ahead. "Names, events, love, everything." Her voice was cool, never faltering though she wanted to cry so badly. "Eventually it left me for dead, but I manage to survive, I dont know how, and made a new name for myself. Maedra Rivenella. I was given a clue a few months ago and a few of my memories came back to me." She looked over at him. "They were my guiding stars. And the closer I got to here the more I remembered..." She smiled a little. "And Draven found me."

She smiled softly, reaching for his hand. "You have nothing to appoligize for, Gargoyle," she said to him, lacing their fingers. "I'm back and that's all that matters. Her hand was rough compared to his, and she pulled it away.

She held his hand over her lips and giggled. "Well, I became a demon hunter. I help a village on the other side of the river, that was about a year ago. She giggled. "Everything new to me..."

Shaking her head, she replied, "I can't think of much right now, darling." She blushed as his lips touched her hand. "You know, you always have a home with me, Gargoyle..." She pulled his hand down, her eyes glowing gently.

*Gargoyle slowly sets his mask to the side and smiles* I know... but unfortunately, I'm a wandering sort. It seems like I can never stay somewhere for too long. I blame my upbringing.

Mae blushed. She was never given the opportunity to see his face. "You know there is no one to blame but yourself..." she whispered, a lesson she learned the hard way. "There is no one who controls who you are..." She smiled and kissed his fingertips.
