Mian was hit by the unexpected attack and stumbled back a few paces.

"Alright Mian, let's show my little brother what we're made of! Use Night Slash!" Kaya called to Mian, who nodded and launched forward, his blades glowing a wicked black. As he drew close, he slashed wildly at the Ghost type.

"Dusknoir, use your Shadow Punch again! Show them who's boss!" Valahn ordered. He was already enraged that Kaya had so easily beaten his strongest Pokemon so quickly. Dusknoir waved his hands in an odd manner and fired off a fist of shadoy energy once again.

"Mian! Be strong for me, ok." Kaya encouraged his Pokemon. "Use another Night Slash on it! We'll take him down a little at a time!" Kaya guided his Pokemon. Mian dashed forwards again wit his blades glowing black and slashed wildly at the Ghost once more.

"Don't give in, Dusknoir! Use another Shadow Punch on that stupid Psychic type!" Valahn ordered his Dusknoir. The Ghost type faltered for a brief moment, it's vision blurring for a few seconds, then fired a blast of shadows int he form of a fist at Mian.

"Mian!" Kaya cried worriedly as he saw the Shiny Gallade stumble and fall to one knee. "Are you alright Mian?" he called. "I am fine, Kaya. What will you have me do next?" Mian replied. "Another Night Slash if you're able to." Kaya requested. "I will do my best." Mian replied as he got to his feet and charged Dusknoir, slashing wildly with his glowing black blades.

"Dusknoir, use your Fire Punch on him!" Valahn cried victoriously, knowing that the Ghost type had won against Mian. Dusknoir nodded and his fists ignited with flames as he lurched forward and slammed the blazing punches into Mian until he was down.
(-55 from Mian. 0/340 Hp remains. Mian is Defeated!)
"Not again!" Kaya groaned as he recalled Mian to his Pokeball. At least the Gallade hadn't been hit with a potentially fatal drill in his side like Tsuki had. "Let's go Tolkis! Take the Stade!" he cried as he released Kiss into the area. "Alright Tolkis, use Air Slash and finish this Ghost off." Kaya called to Tolkis.
The Togekiss nodded and formed a ball of spiraling wind at the end of her wingtip, then sent the slicing orb at Dusknoir. The ball struck home and sliced through the Ghost's incorporeal form.

"Alright Kiss. Use your Extreme Speed!" Kaya guided Kiss. The Togekiss nodded and shot forward at blinding speed as a loud boom echoed behind her. She slammed into Togetic dolefully, regretting it every second, and returned to her previous position in the blink of an eye.

"Alright Togetic, use another Flamethrower!" Valahn cried. Togetic looked at Valahn as if pleading him to not make her fight against her sister. "DO IT!" he screamed finally becoming fed up with her dawdling. She sighed and sent a torrent of flames at Tolkis. A few tears leaked from her eyes as she did.

"Kiss...use your Sky Attack!" Kaya called to his partner, who nodded and flew in place as she focused her energy.

"No!" Kaya cried as he returned Kiss to her Pokeball. "I've only got three Pokemon left and only one of them is gonna all that helpful here." he told himself. She'd never seen a really tough battle yet, but he knew that she could handle it. "Let's go Shiara! Take the Stage!" he cried as he released the Shiny Flaffy to battle. "Alright, Ara, use Thunder Shock on it!" Kaya guided. Shiara nodded and loosed an arc of Lightning at Togetic.

"Fine! Togetic, use your Psychic on this one too!" Valahn ordered angrily. Shiara didn't look all that strong to him so he assumed that she'd go down with a single Psychic attack. Togetic faltered, falling to the ground in her weakened state, though she stood on shaky legs as she tried to keep fighting. She focused and sent a mental blast at Shiara.

"Alright Shiara! Let's finish this battle!" Kaya encouraged the FLaffy. "Use another Thunder Shock." he requested. Shiara nodded once again and loosed another arc of lightning from her tail at Togetic, who took the hit and let out a squeal as she fell to the ground unconscious.

Then, the ground shook. Something was wrong.
"Crap...Kaya and Train might be introuble. But...Brayden won't knwo where we are...Hm..." She took a long look at Barth, and smiled.

Brayden settled at the entrance of the cave, shaking off the last effects of the Coppice Charm's magic. Well, at least they knew they had the right place... Not that it gave much consolation. He felt a slight twinge in the back of his head, squinting for a moment as he gazed up at the dormant volcano. A few wisps of ash floated on the breeze, settling on the nearby bushes that had a similar coating. It seemed even the mountain itself was agitated.
Just hopefully not at their appearance... he thought with a wince. The last thing they needed was the volcano errupting.
But, first things first, he had to locate the group. Brayden spotted the scorched rock easily enough, following its directions into the dark cavern. He had the eerie sensation of being watched, and glanced over his shoulder, not spotting anything. But even he could detect the hint of malice that lay in the area. The wild Pokemon here were not pleased, as Brayden shuddered, trying to rid himself of the sensation.

Opting to call out Gin'iro for safety measures, Brayden picked up the pace, keeping his ears trained on the sound of fleeting footsteps down the tunnels, just hoping he was trailing the right set.
A rumble in the cavern had Brayden grasping at the cave walls, glancing up worriedly. "Oh no, don't you go collapsing on us now..." he muttered, as Gin'iro looked to his trainer like he had gone mad. He did just speak to a rock wall, after all...
