He smiled as she concentrated on the statue, curious what her answer would be. When she finally answered he nodded, "Yes, it has to do with alchemy, correct, and I'm glad to hear that you're willing to learn, but i was just wondering if i did a good job on that statue, i haven't been too happy with it. I don't think it depicts the four elements well enough so that anyone walking by would be able to recognize them." He smiled wider and started for the the dormitory building again, calling her after a few steps.

When they reached the door he pushed it open to an almost identical common room as the classes building. "You'll find a bathroom up the stairs to your right" he said, pointing at a door on the right wall. "Towels should be outside of the bathroom door already. While you're showering i'll go find some clothes for you. Afterwards we'll talk about your staying here and the requirements you have to meet." He nodded and motioned toward the stairs before exiting the building and heading back to his office to find some clothes.

The warm water felt good on Anslia's skin. Buut good wasn't alright for her. She turned the heat up all the way, wincing as the hot water scalded her skin. After a few moments, the nerves in her skin stopped screaming and she let the heat ease away the aches and pains of her journey.

She waited until the water dripping off her was only a light brown, and then set to work with soap. Finally, her fingers started to shrivel and she decided it might be best to end her shower now and go find that fellow.

As she rubber herself with the towel, Anslia had time to consider the oddness of this place. Granted, it wasn't as odd as some of the schools she'd stumbled across... but alchemy? She'd only heard of such a thing in myths and fairytales. Oh well... maybe it would help her with her swordsmanship?

The clothes were there as he promised: jeans and a t-shirt. The shirt was a little big, but she could deal with it as long as it didn't interfere with her fighting. The pants though... they were more than too long. She made quick work of them with her daggers, cutting them off just below the knee.

They hung on her hips, reminding her of a hooker she saw on a corner a month or two back. Well, if this whole alchemy thing didn't work out, she had an alternate career. The tattoo on the back of her head itched a bit as she strapped her daggers back around her waist. Now... to find that guy.

She stepped out of the bathroom and glanced around the commons, old clothes in hand. Didn't take much looking she thought, crossing to the nearest armchair. "Anything special I should do with these?" she asked, gesturing to her clothes.

"Burn them, keep them, throw them away, wash them. It's up to you. The washer's upstairs a few doors down from the bathroom if you'd like to use it. Right now i'd like for you to sit and talk." He said all of this without looking up from a book in his lap. It was leather bound and about two inches thick. He had it opened a little past the mid-way point.

"Ok," she agreed, dropping the clothes on the floor by the bathroom door. In a few light steps, she had crossed the room and perched on the arm of Shtona's chair. Unashamed, she peeked at the book but... it wasn't clear to her at all. "What're you reading? Er... what do you want to talk about?"

"This is a book describing different alchemic formulas and their theoretical uses in a combat situation. In other words: offensive alchemy. And you are what i want to talk about. What kind of alchemy are you wishing to learn here? What do you aspire to do with the knowledge you obtain here?" Once again he didn't look up from the book. He finished reading and turned the page, starting on the next page labeled number 649. On page 650 there were drawings of very advanced looking transmutation circles (keys to releasing alchemic reactions).

Iris walked around for awhile. She took her time strolling along the path towards what she assumed to be the main building. Burdened by her bags, Iris decided to take a short break and set them down by the fountain. She sat there, admiring and musing over all the adornments that greeted her eyes. She particularly liked the statue that embodied the four elements.

After a few moments, she resumed her walk. With her short stature, she barely had to bend her knees to pick up her bags. Upon reaching the door, the brunette bit her lip and paused.

What if this place was not what she expected? Would her hopes and dreams be shattered by the high expectations she had set of this beautiful school?

She shook off those negative thoughts and took a deep breath. With her brown eyes closed, she raised one hand timidly and knocked.

Before Anslia could answer his questions a small knock came at the door. He looked up from his book and smiled. "That'd be the other student..." he said, closing the book and standing. He placed the book in the chair and crossed the room to the front doors that were identical to the other building's. He pulled open one of the doors and stood looking at his newest student.

"Welcome to the Alchemist Training Academy!" he said, greeting the young girl the same way he'd greeted Anslia.

Iris stared up at the man who had so warmly greeted her. She smiled back and nodded at the youthful man. He seemed to be the person in charge, but she had not expected someone so... young looking? She had almost expected a wrinkly old man who had a beard a foot long.

"Hello, my name is Iris."

"Shtona" he replied, "it's great to meet you." he said, extending his right arm. He held it out for a second then realized Iris wasn't shaking his hand because of all the bags in her own hands. "I'm sorry, let me help you with those." He reached out and took the handle of one of the bags, lifting it from her grip and stepping back inside to let her in.

Kain strolled around twilrling one of the large black daggers he had recieved from his father at seventeen. He came up the path and into a courtyard. Walking past the fountain and up to the doors, he peered around as the orange sun shone across the stately grounds. "Quite a nice place" Kain exclaimed aloud to himself.

He came upon the great doors of the university, and looked the over, The craftsmenship of the held him in awe. Kain walked in and gazed around, wondering aloud "So who's in charge here?"

"Ah, thank you," she mumbled before scurrying in through the door. In her jerky movement, her hair fell out of its precarious hold with the loose ribbon.

"Oh drat," she sighed as she gently placed her bags back on the ground and tied back her long brown hair. She picked the bags back up and looked at the Shtona. She wanted to say something, but her throat closed up on her, and refused to work.

After all the years of dreaming of something like this, I just have to get shy! she groaned to herself.

"W-where would you like me to put these things?" she asked after chiding herself.

"Um...anywhere's fine right now. You can always move them upstairs. At the moment i need you to go sit with the other girl over there, we were just about to start a meeting, so you can join in now that you're here." He smiled at her and set the bag he'd grabbed next to hers before checking outside. To his surprise he saw a young man wandering the grounds twirling a rather nasty looking dagger. "May i help you?" he called out, stepping outside onto the threshold.

Anslia couldn't help it. She snickered at Iris's nervous blathering. Anslia's not cruel, persay... she just has a very skewed sense of behavior and such. (Not that she would ever admit to that.) But, sensing that maybe this wasn't the place for such an ego, she quickly stifled her laugh.

She cleared her throat and began to answer, before realizing that Shtona had stepped out. Frustrated (though quite used to being ignored) she slumped down off the arm and into the chair, her long legs dangling over one of the arms. She looked at the girl again. "Name's Anslia." And that was all the introduction that would be made.

Iris had heard the girl laugh. She turned and was introduced to this Anslia. The first thing she noticed were Anslia's unique eyes.

"Hi, I'm Iris," she responded. "You have very interesting eyes. Of course, I don't mean it that they're bad. They're very unique and I like the color. I haven't ever seen anyone with eyes like that before," she chatted nervously. She wasn't sure if the girl would like her. Had she been laughing at her?

Iris shrugged off her worry. She wanted her memories here to be good.

If possible, Anslia's face dropped - grew more serious. Part of her knew that the girl was just trying to be friendly... but it was like pouring salt onto a wound. "Thanks," she answered coldly. "You can take them if you like. They're of very little use to me."

As an afterthought she threw in, "Like your hair," and ran her left hand back and forth over her scalp.
