After about ten minutes in the grass with no Pokemon in sight Mitsu continued to walk onwards. This time in the lead. She came across and opening with the sight of a building. The top read "Pokemon Safari Zone". She has read about these in one of the many books they had back at Mossdeep. She wanted to go in badly. She knew for sure they had Pokemon in there.
"Hey, look a Safari Zone," Ken said. "I didn't know they had one of these in Hoenn." He wanted to go in, but knew that the Safari Zone costed mony. Most likely all that they had. "Better keep going Mitsu. The Safari Zone costs money."

The boys stood staring at each other, neither willing to make the first move. Finally, the first boy swallowed the lump in his throat, and let his Pokeball fly. Kasiya wasn't at all astonished to see an Ekans, for they ran wild in the fields west of Vermilion. The second boy, who had seemingly gained a spine, sent out his Pokemon as well: a Pidgey, also fairly common to these parts. The Pidgy, having an upper hand in speed, attacked first, and under the orders of its trainer, used a fierce looking Quick Attack. The attack struck the Ekans head on in what appeared to be a critical hit, yet the snake-like Pokemon shook it off and launched a Poision Sting, as directed by its trainer as well. The battle was fairly short lived, as the first hit from Pidgey proved to be the deciding factor in the battle. Kasiya smiled to herself, seeing young trainers spread their wings was always a joy to see. She stood up, and called to them both.
"You guys are both pretty good!" she said, smiling.
"You think so?" the first boy replied, walking over to her with his Pidgy flying excitedly around his head. The second boy called back his defeated Ekans, looking a little upset.
"We're even now, Joey," he said, looking from his Pokeball to Kasiya's egg. His face lit up almost instantly. "Wow, where'd you get that egg?"
"A good friend," Kasiya replied. The first boy called his Pidgey back and also came over to examine the egg.
"What's inside?" he asked. Kasiya only shrugged in reply. He reached his hand out and felt the smooth shell. "It feels so warm."
"That's the way to hatch eggs," Kasiya said softly. "Its a timely process, but well worth the effort. Its seemed like I've been carrying it forever, though."
The two boys continued to ask about the egg as they walked towards the city's Pokemon Center to heal the Ekans. Kasiya answered each question with a smile, and with every step, it seemed like the egg would shake with life. They were only a few blocks away from the Pokemon Center when suddenly the egg practically leapt out of Kasiya's arms and onto the sidewalk. The three stopped and stared in amazement as the shell cracked and shook. Only a few seconds later, and Kasiya's Pokemon was born: a beautiful little Eevee.

Mitsu and Ken pressed on. They ventured into more tall grass, this time up to their elbows. Soon they came acorss a bridge. Wooden and made of logs and sturdy rope. As they crossed they noticed something odd.
"Hey Ken, something's in the way. It's invisible." Mitsu said a bit skeptically. She didn't know any Pokemon, or even anything that could disappear.
"I'm sure it's just a Pokemon," Ken replied. "Since we can't go anywhere how about taking the train to Kanto?"

Kasiya had long since bid the boys farewell, and was now trying to decide what she should do now. This was the first Pokemon she ever owned, not including the few times she practiced giving orders with Lt. Surge's Raichu. She then promptly decided to head over to the Gym and see what he thought she should do, and also properly thank him for her Eevee. The newborn trotted along happily beside her, having already enjoyed its first lunch. Kasiya knew Pokemon should be kept in a Pokeball, but she didn't care at the moment, for she had a Pokemon, and she planned on showing her off to the world.

"Okay," Mitsy replied. "How about Vermillion City?"
"Sounds good to me." Ken replied , his voice wavering a bit. He hadn't visited Vermillion before. It was one of the few places he didn't venture in Kanto.
Mitsu turned and looked him in the eyes. "Is something wrong, Ken?" she asked with a bit more that just concern in her voice.
"Huh? Yeah, everything's fine." He answered. To tell the truth Vermillion was one of the few places his father hadn't brought him too. Due to the Electric typed Gym he had learned that bird Pokemon are weak against electric types. He didn't want anything bad to happen to his new Pidgey. Realizing that he slipped up on the tough guy act he simply replied. "Okay Mitsu. Lets board the train."
Both Ken and Mitsu walked back to Lilycove and held up there tickets at the booth.
A few hours later they arrived in Johto.

Kasiya arrived in front of the Gym she had come to call her second home within an hour or two. She stepped up to the big front doors, only to find that they were locked. Lt. Surge wasn't there. Disappointed, Kasiya decided to go and browse the Pokemart to see what sort of items that were sold there.

The next train ride from Johto to Kanto took a couple more hours. Bored while on the train both Ken and Mitsu took out their Pokemon.
"Come on out Ralts!"
"You too Pidgy!"
The small Pokemon came bursting out of their Pokeballs as a stream or red light with soldified into the Pokemon themselves. Ralts on Mitsu lap and Pidgy on Ken's shoulder.
The two trainers and Pokemon enjoyed the rest of the train ride in slience enjoying each other's company.

Kasiya's trip to the Pokemart took slightly longer than she'd hoped, for Eevee kept stopping to look at everyone and everything. As cute as it was, it was taking far too much time. She pulled out Eevee's Pokeball and held it out. "I think it's time for you to go inside," she said. Eevee stopped and looked up at her, its eyes filled with curiosity. Kasiya smiled down at her, but just couldn't call her back. "You're too cute," she said, putting the Pokeball away and scooping Eevee up in her arms. "I could never stow such cuteness away." She then carried Eevee the rest of the way to the Pokemart, suddenly aware that she could hear the train arriving.

After a couple more hours in the train it pulled up to Vermillion City. Mitsu looked out of a window of the train. It was amazing. Mossdeep vasy small, but the train trip and the city was bigger than she'd expected.
"C'mon, Ken lets go. I want to check out the gym. I bet who ever is in there isn't as good as tate and Lisa." Mitsu said as excited as ever.
A short moment passed and nothing. Then Mitsu could hear ken slightly snoring asleep from the silence of the trip.
"Ralts use Growl." She said with a smile playing at her lips.
Ken woke up dazed and then quickly snapped back into reality. His faced turned slighly pink from the embassasment.
The two ot off the train and began heading towards the Gym.

Kasiya stepped out of the Pokemart (now with two potions in hand), in time to see a pair of trainers run past her in quite a hurry. She could hear them chatting excitedly about the Gym, and suddenly remembered that Lt. Surge wasn't there. To save them the disappointment, she ran after them, Eevee still in her arms.
"Hey, wait a minute!" she called out.

Both Mitsu and Ken stopped in their tracks. "Hmm?" Mitsu asked. "Are you going to the gym too?" Mitsu's Ralts carefully studied the Eevee, tilted it's head to the side out of curosity. It had never seen one before and was utterly facinated.
