I hope it's good!
I saw the original stage production, which was incredible. A musical too, but I guess they are changing the music.
Angela Lansbury was the lead female in the original production, and I was surprised at how good a voice she has.

I love Johnny's voice in this movie and they just updated the official site so now you can hear the different songs and a full version of "A Little Priest."

Ah, 'ole Sweeney Todd.
I have been waiting for someone to remake it into movie form.
The musical is absolutely brilliant, and though the cast does not excite me much, I love Johnny Depp. Hopefully he will be able to own up to the great task of playing Mr. Todd.
Though.. I am disappointed at the fact that he does not have an operatic voice for the part.

Angela does an amazing job as Miss Lovitt in the original production.

When I first saw the poster for it, I thought it would be
something about Jack The Ripper so I was about to
forbid myself from watching it in theatres 'cause I would
be having an orgasm or something. But I still really
want to watch it.

I am looking forward to this version, it looks like it will be good. Johnny Depp has a talent for outlandish over the top characters so I expect he will do well in the part.

I thin Sweeney Todd LOOKS fantastic..but I don't like musicals..so I'll probably not see it..even though it does look brilliantly made..the songs would just make me cringe though.

The story is based on fact, but that doesn't make it less horrifying. And the music probably won't spoil it for you....

I was a little skeptical at first, but when I heard Burton was directing and it was a musical, I was sold. I am the biggest sucker for musicals. Except High School Musical....*shudder*
