"It's better to hide from possible threats than openly ask if a stranger plans to attack, rape or claim me." She spoke through gritted teeth against the pain from the gashes in her shoulder. Nothing important had ripped but it hurt so much, even more so as she redoubled her efforts. Somehow she didn't believe that she'd have been left well alone if she'd stayed laying in the sun. Still, time for less chat.

Right under his throat, where the mane thinned out to normal fur. That was her target as she thrust her head forward, jaws first.

She moved for his throat, that wasn't hard to notice. But instead of openly moving away, he just stood taller. With a paw holding the lioness' shoulder, claws still gripped into it, her neck wouldn't manage to reach his throat that high, and he looked down, amused.

But this was boring, he decided,to jsut keep the female pinned beneath him. The lions white pads on his right paw had tinted red with blood from his hold on her shoulder, but likewise, he felt some of his own trickling down his side from where she had first struck, and a small amount also trickled from her assault on his chest.

So he squeezed once more, then yanked his paw away from her, dragging it as much as he could in the process on her side, then jumped away, crouching slow and smirking. This was what he lived for.

"Sorry to say, but then you'd just have to be a ltitle less noisy. Many rogues get on edge, y'know. Lots of others on their tail. Like me. "

He hadn't really been ambushed in a while, actually. He had met Afu; and he hadn't gotten into any serious events in a while. Yet, he was well aware, he didn't have a nice amount of allies.

She was on her paws in a flash, though she kept some of the weight off her leg - almost tentively she tested it - it'd hold and she'd ignore the pain. It spurred her on. The white stripes around the limb were banded with red from the cut above. More grisly to look at than anything. Nasty.

Snarling, she closed circled to close the gap again, keeping low and steady. Now she wasn't even thinking straight - completely full of rage. And all the more dangerous for it. She could see herself in her minds eye as usual. This wasn't like her but what could she do? This was her illness. She felt angry, so she'd fight.

Instead of circling back, Ahali decided to try something new. He was low, close to the ground, backing away, facing the lioness. Circling was stupid after the first time; he hated doing it too much.

"And on your note about raping-- guys tend to go for more attractive girls. " He said, casually, if only to get on her nerves. The former firekin never noted on how females looked, but he knew this usually got on their nerves.

She ignored the comment. It wasn't essential, what he was saying. Had she been in her right mind she'd have become reckless and started arguing the point. Not that she was unattractive - since she didn't care, she'd near given up hope of finding someone - but that rape was about power. And nothing to joke about. Her family...well.

Instead she just pressed the issue and stalked a few steps forward whenever he took one back. Staring at him. Looking for something.

He smirked. He looked at her eyes; she was searching. He continued to back away, then he backed slightly to the side, and lifted his hind paws at the same time, his broad shoulders likely to block her view at what was happening back there.

Then they launched him foreward at the crouched lioness, who was already moving towards him, only this time, his claws were extended, lips parted, ready to bite hard into anything he managed, right now, aiming more towards the back of her neck.

There!

She ducked low and dashed forward, just dodging his attack and whirling around. That had been what she'd been searching for - for him to make any move differently. Blocking her view of something was a great old example.

Now she'd try the old dodge and slash... And keep out of his reach. Speed and agility were her weapons after all. She was a better fighter if she didn't think too hard.

Well then. She was trying the quick run-away. She he stopped as soon as he hit the ground, and turned to face her. If she moved to the side, he'd follow; but he wouldn't leave that spot.

His claws were at the ready, but he knew better than to launch at someone who relied on speed. Experience whispered in his ears, and he folded then backwards. "You're a fool. " He said simply, cooly, calm. She could fly at him, but here, he was defended, if he always followed her moves.

"So, what do you plan now? I know more than you think. " He smirked, following her from his spot, waiting. She could circule all she wanted.

Again she ignored his speaking - worthless. Asherah just held her position and waited. He'd have a weakness, and open point, at sometime. She wasn't letting him walk away until she did some damage in turn for what he'd done. If he tried to move, she'd dodge and snipe. If he tried to attack, she knew how to get away now. She just had to wait.

He quirked a brow. "Well, you bore me. " He smiled, and stoof normally. He casually walked to the side of where she was now, shoulders relaxed, tail low. His ears remained neutral, but he was ready.

If she didn't attempt something now, no bother. He had better things to do. But he had a small feeling; she didn't want him to walk away. They were usually too pissed for that.

Still cautious, Asherah padded after the bigger lion and kept the distance between them. Not good enough. He'd just turn around and get her if she attacked now. So following was a good plan. Wait for an opening, wait for one...

He smirked to himself. So he sat down, then rolled onto his back, looking up at her upsidedown. This could bee pretty stupid; but she was light, he already knew that. Even if she got onto him, he wouldn't let her stay there long.

"I can't see whats the point in following. "

Expression neutral, she stayed where she was. In the middle of getting up perhaps or when he was more tired. She was running on anger pure and simple, so it wouldn't bother her how long it took. Ash'd wait.

What a boring female. He rolled his eyes and got up, facing her. And started to walk towards the lioness; just walk. She could move, or he could bump into her, then she'd be in reach.

"Pathetic. "

"She walked backwards to keep the distance and would keep trailing him until she saw and opening UNTIL THE END OF TIME. (Or 2009, whichever came first)"
