Toddler Quest

Exhibit Treat:

Yet another child has seen so much of the world that she wishes to grow! This little turkey will also need a few things in order for her to grow to the next stage! Find her three different pieces of art that feature turkeys in some way, and two stuffed animals (they can be any animal).

It was a warm spring day and Dia had tickets to attend a nearby art exhibit. She had never been to one personally and was looking forward to it. Not to mention the fact that it would tie in well with Taryn's quest. The baby didn't know where they were going, but she was excited nonetheless.

Because it wasn't too far from them, she decided to walk. It only took about twenty minutes or so. And boy was it worth the walk. Normally, the lines were ridicoulously long, but it was a Sunday and most people liked to stay home then. Dia handed her ticket to the usher and walked into the museum. The tall wall panels were done in a modern manner. The white walls gave a sense of pureness. Taryn seemed to also notice the effect that the museum had, by her quiet observation. They roamed slowly about, stopping only to look at the paintings which interested them.

"Oh look Taryn, it's a wildlife section", Dia piped up while walking through the doorway. Various paintings of animals were lined up on the wall. Though the ones which Taryn seemed to take interest in the most were the turkey ones naturally.

"Skkkkiieee", she slowly said while pointing to a painting of a turkey in a field appearing at peace. What made her like the painting so much though was the purple in the flowers against the turkey.

"Yes, I like that one too.. very nice", Dia agreed while staring at the painting and reading a brief bio on it.

They continued on down the asile untill Taryn pointed once again to a painting.

"Goggly?", she questioned while tilting her head to the side. It was a wierd picture, but it make her laugh as well. She tried to keep her giggles low though.

"Hehe, yea it is kind of odd. Looks like the turkey is seeing through human eyes, maybe?", Dia suggested while also tilting her head to the side.

They saw a few others abstract turkey paintings which made Taryn giggled. However, they both stopped their giggles and stared at one painting especially. It was a painting which caught a turkey in it's mosgt natural mode. The beauty of the turkey was beyond words. The season appeared to be fall in this one.

"Oooh, perty", Taryn mumbled while leaning in close to it. There were so many different colors on the turkey. For once she actually felt proud that her feathers were purple and not anything else. She always thought that it was wierd, but not anymore. She was special, just like the turkey in this painting.

After seeing several more paintings the two decided to grab something to eat. It was nearly lunch time by now. They walked down the streets and peered into the windows of shops every now and then. One store in particular caught Taryn's eye because of what was on display.

"Fuffffyyy Bar", she babbled while making grabby motions. Dia turned to look at what she was reaching for and chuckled. It was pretty cute. Twin bears done in inverse colors of one another.

It had been a while since she bought new toys for Taryn, so she decided to buy them. Once they found a cafe to buy lunch from, she settled Taryn into her own seat, and reached into the paper bag. Although the two bears were detachable, they had velcro on their hands to connect the two together.

"How adorable", Dia said while grinning and handing them over to Taryn. Taryn's eyes lit up as she stared at the bears and them cuddled them close to her. She then gave Dia a hug and giggled.

"Gally coo", she remarked while choosing to leave their hands snapped together. They looked happy like that.

"Well, what are you going to name them?", Dia questioned while reading her menu.

Taryn thought for a moment and shrugged. They didn't need names right now. She'd think of that later. For now, she was just going to enjoy her teddy's. What a day it had been. She got to see nice artwork of turkeys, and even found some new friends.

The end.
