He was used to the changing natures of those around him. It took a little more than arrogance to put him off - granted, he may not enjoy their company as much but he could endure. He claimed it was the patience of a saint but others simply blamed it on his optimism...he, like his aunt was more inclined to give people the benefit of the doubt. Being a cynic was for the weak!
"They still are unconventional," Biscuit's accent shifted. It still contained the hint of his lilt but he appeared to be able to dominate it to the extent that he could sound almost...normal?
"One could say that it is the personalities within my family that make them so unique and unusual, it is...hard to explain, so much easier to see and hear for yourself." He gave a lose shrug as he answered her questions to the best of his abilities. "As for where I come from, the mountains would be the answer to that and..."
Why sacrifice yourself for others?
"To make someone happy is the greatest gift you can give them. If sacrifice is necessary then...why not?"

He seemed to have gathered his thoughts once again, and was now able to speak on one stream of thought. And Ju also noticed that his strange accent was gone. So this meant that he had fallen to the weakness of changing himself for others.
"You know, I don't even know why you bothered to change the way you speak just for me. I never even said it bothered me."
She didn't totally understand it, but perhaps he was trying as hard as he could to make her like him. Perhaps she should be a bit nicer? Well, it was worth a try. Putting on a sugary tone, she smiled brightly and continued to address the rest of his responses.
"Well, perhaps I will get the chance to meet your eccentric family one day. They do sound quite interesting."
Forcing herself into this better attitude actually won her over, and she actually felt in a better mood now, and not like she was just pretending.
"Well, Biscuit, we've been standing here for some time now. Would you be objective to a short walk?"

There was that shift again! Biscuit refrained from raising a brow and simply offered a smile. Apparently this mare would keep him on his toes for the entire encounter if she kept this up. One moment she seemed to think he was a low life, the next that he was pitiful for sinking so low as to accommodate and the next...that he was almost deemed worthy of a walking partner.
If he was a fly on the wall he would have made a bet she would shift in thirty seconds to dislike him again.
Aha, well he might as well make the most of it eh?
"A walk would be lovely," He confirmed at last, bowing his head somewhat as a mark of respect as he fell into step but ensured there was a sufficient distance between the two. He would make sure he made use of his lessons though and would wait for her to lead the way - ladies first and all that jazz.
"Although if you met my family, I should probably advise running for the most part. They are even more imposing than I am." He jested mildly.

Ju smiled brightly as Biscuit bowed for her to take the lead. How polite he was! She giggled a bit as they walked, her heavy tail dragging slightly behind her.
"Oh, but you're not imposing at all! You're quite friendly, and in the best way. What makes you say that you are imposing?"
She didn't understand. He had been only too polite, and hadn't forced his company on her, so she didn't understand why he called himself that.
"So, what are the rest of your family members like? How many siblings do you have?"

"Well, sometimes I can be a little forward," Biscuit confessed, offering a smile at her improving mood. He wasn't about to rain on her parade, apparently if he let her take the lead she approved. A happy mare made pleasant company, that was his aim and he appeared to have succeeded! And to think, there were those that would have tossed their heads in the air and stalked off by now because of her somewhat rapid mood swings.
Pfft.
"And a little impolite," He was of course referring to 'sneaking' up on the mare. It had been unintentional but he saw the error of his ways in that regard. "But I do my best to behave, either that or my Aunt would kick my backside rather hard." He confessed before returning to her other questions.
"As to siblings - I have two, both mares and...I have three daughters," He added. It seemed almost ironic, that he had a devout love and appreciation for mares... Perhaps that was due to his sisters' influence upon him - it just made him chuckle to think he'd been blessed with three more in the process!
"Yourself?"

"You have children?! Well, you seem so young, I'm surprised! How wonderful. And how old are they?"
Indeed, she was quite amazed that he had already had children at such a young age. She didn't know exactly how old he was, of course, but he didn't seem to be that old.
"Oh, I have no family. My parents have died, and I never had any brothers or sisters. And as I've had no mate, I have no children."
Pretty simple. Ju was alone. Nobody to share things with, just herself. Perhaps that was the reason she seemed to act so oddly. She just wasn't used to the company of others. But she didn't know the difference. Her lack of communication had prevented her from learning how to be polite to others and that her mood swings, which she didn't even notice, might offend some.

Eh heh - well he was hardly going to admit his children had been accidents. While he had been stunned beyond all measure when he had been informed, he had recovered and had quickly become extremely proud of his babes. Now they had grown though, or were growing at a startling rate and would soon be the bane of his existence in terms of courting stallions.
He'd kill them all! Every stallion that dared touch 'em...or at least Azumoth would.
He smiled a little at that thought.
"Yes, as I said I have three of them." He replied, taking her compliment with another bow of his head. He was young but things happened and he simply rolled with the kicks. "They are about a year old now I should think, very energetic...save one." He was of course referring to the daughter that seemed to hate him with a burning passion - something he had never understood.
"I'm sorry to hear about your parents though, I'm not sure I could remain as strong as you if mine fell." He confessed, canting his head to the side for a few moments before grinning. "And to be honest I'd avoid children for as long as possible, they're very tiring! I suspect I would not be the only one who would prefer to see you unruffled and content."

"Well, I'm sure you enjoy them, don't you?I would hope that you do, as you are their father."
At the comment about her parents, he mood changed again, with the same rapidity it had done before.
"I do not regret my parents' deaths," she said with a cold bite in her tone. "They deserved it, and its not like I miss them. I hardly ever saw them anyways, and I know they hated me."
She then turned on him again at the comment about her mood.
"And who says I wouldn't be content?!" she yelled, rather fiercely. "If I ever do have children, I won't be the kind of mother that mine was to me. If I chose to have children, I won't need any help, and they won't tire me! That was the reason my parents were such horrible ones! They weren't meant to be parents, and listened to nobody when they told them so! Don't you dare think I would be an unfit mother!"
She tossed her head to the side in a angry manner, and stomped forward, her bangles jingling noisily around her ankles, not caring to look behind her and see if Biscuit was following.

May the Spirits give him patience, this mare was more unpredictable than an active volcano! Biscuit simply gawked as the mare gave him a verbal lashing and paused on the spot as she stalked away. Apparently there was something 'missing' when it came to this mare, it was almost as though she was incapable of understanding any form of jest or humour which was a little unfortunate.
Actually, it was a complete tragedy for the stallion who thrived on comedy.
"Eh, eh, eh!" He yelled after her, reverting back to his usual accent as he broke into a trot. His tail flew out behind him in the similar fashion to a banner and he only came to a halt when he had swung round and stood in front of the mare. If she really wanted, she could just walk around him again but no one stomped off on him.
They didn't twist his words either!
"I nae be sayin' that ye be a bad mother," He began, brow furrowing as he went over her lashing slowly so that he could respond to each accusation in turn. According to that alone, she came from a broken family...perhaps that was why she was so disgruntled. Maybe that was why she was so incapable of social interaction.
"Foals are tirin', I know from experience but that dinnae mean tha' it be wrong te be tired either. They grow up into fine adults but -" He trailed away and shook his head. A sigh escaped through parted lips and the frown on his expression eased up - really he was beginning to think that he was fighting a losing battle. He would have to explain himself every single tie and make everything he said explicit.
"I wasn't accusin' ye of nae bein' content either, ye could very well be the blushin' and prideful mother of yer wee ones when ye so choose to have 'em but fer now..." He had to tread carefully here, so the most he could do was give a light shrug and purse his lips.
"Surely ye know how beautiful ye are now, it's a sight te behold and I nae be the only one who would be sad te see it overshadowed by anythin' else right now...aye?"

As the stallion trotted around her and stopped right in front of her, she was so caught up in her anger that she wasn't paying enough attention, and ran right into him, stumbling a little. When she had regained herself, she glared as the stallion who was now blocking her way, and had broken the power of her angry stomping.
"Well, the way you said it, it sounded like you didn't think I would be able to do it! Sounded like you thought I shouldn't even try! I can do it, you know!"
She huffed and diverted her eyes from him for a moment, staring at a spider crawling across the ground. She was perfectly content to leave him now, and not have to deal with him ever again, the rude beast. But just as she decided to stomp off again, and not stop this time, he said something that caught her attention. Had he just called her beautiful?
"Y-you think I'm beautiful? Really? You're not just making fun of me?"
She blinked a few times, yet another emotion showing itself to the poor stallion who had crossed her path today. She was quite surprised, and wasn't sure if she believed him or not yet.

"I believe ye!" Biscuit was already more exhausted by this encounter than by his hyper active children. He had thought that Flossy was a hoof-full but this mare took the award for that - he was going to sleep very well tonight to say the least! That being said, while she may have been fierce her previous words still lingered in his mind and although many wouldn't excuse her rude behaviour...he would.
"I think ye'd b a fantastic mother but I nae be sayin' ye should have them right now, aye?" He released a sigh, attempting to swim through the rapids that were her emotions. He'd always been a good swimmer but never in this context, most mares weren't quite so unhinged. Then again, meeting unusual soquili broadened the mind and prepared it for greater things.
"Nae dinnae be playin' modest!" He offered a smile at her next question and shook his head, the curly locks bouncing across his neck, "Surely ye be knowin' ye are a glorious sight te the eyes! Ye are truly magnificent, how can ye nae see, eh?"

She just stood there and looked at him for a moment, blinking every now and then. She had never been called beautiful. Well, not since...no, that was gone, and so was he, so best not to go back there.
Shaking herself out of her momentary stupor, she tried to put on a tough front again, but his words were making that quite difficult.
"Well....don't think I...I'm going to be all nice to you just....just because you said I'm pretty."
The firm and angry tone was still there, but just barely. She tried not to look him in the eyes and just stood there staring at her hoofs, at a complete loss for words.

"I nae be expecting special treatment fer a compliment, Miss Ju." Biscuit smiled faintly as he watched her demeanour shift again. She really was hard to keep up with but he was beginning to see a pattern. Provided he remained alert he would be able to dance across that thin line of decency that she might approve of. So he wouldn't get anywhere with her (which was a shame) but one more friend wouldn't hurt, right?
"Jes' a lil smile now and again te lighten up those delicate features of yers," He continued slowly. This was not the time for him to be witty, he needed to consider his options very, very carefully as opposed to jokin and teasing. He suspected that if he cracked another joke he would be impaled and all his good 'work' would be gone.
Couldn't have that, she was a gorgeous mare when she wasn't stomping about.
"Or, is tha' too much te ask givin' how rude I've been in such a short time?" He enquired hesitantly. Maybe if he was a little more...humble?

Ju continued to stare at her hooves for a few more moments as Biscuit tried to get on her better side...whichever side that was. Then she finally looked up at him, her eyes drooping a bit as though she was tired, or had been crying.
"I'm sorry for my behavior. I....I'm just a little mixed up."
She looked him in the eye and smiled slightly. It was the best she could do right now. He had asked for a smile, so she gave him what she could right now.

"Hey now," Biscuit returned her small smile with a rather large one of his own and shook his head. The blonde curls bounced enthusiastically against his neck and with another shift of his weight he began to relax again. He was right, if he tread a little more carefully then she wouldn't launch into one of her fits!
"Ye dinnae have anythin' te apologise for, we all have our moments!" Refraining from claiming that his mood swings were worse (for fear of insulting her again) he carefully flicked his tail against his flank and observed the female. The way she stood spoke volumes to him - not necessarily in the sense that she wasn't happy (he'd gathered that a while back) but more so because of how tired she looked.
"Are ye alright? If ye be wantin' I can leave ye te rest - give ye a little peace and quiet as opposed te hearin' me natterin' away!
