"Because you know what i think. I've told you often enough." She usually ignored it or scoffed at him for it though. Always saying that he was just trying to sweet talk her and never believing that he spoke the truth.
"I think you're wild, and yes a bit crazy but a good kind of crazy. You're like a storm. Running wherever you want to and doing what you want to no matter the wish of others." He shook his head slightly. "You're an angel to your little ones ... and to me."

She closed her eyes tightly, sniffling once more as she stood still. She didn't want to step closer to Nuka again least she wind up doing something that was going to make him walk away from her for the first time. "Ah do think 'bout others... Ah think o' you an' Wadi an' Zuka... An' Mama an' Dah..." She thought of her brothers that she saw often enough and even her sister too. She thought about all of them... Even if she didn't show it right.

"You do, i know you do. You just ... think about yourself first." It was always Atsila's way or no way at all. You did what she wanted or she left you in the dust to deal with it yourself. He'd gotten used to that enough that he could ignore it most of the time.

"... Ah'm sorry, Nuka." She let her head hang as she took a step back. "Ah'll... Let you go on your walk an' Ah won't bother you. Ah'll jus' wait here an'..." She swallowed hard. "... An'..." She swallowed again, unable to add anything on to what she'd said that would have any meaning at all beyond babble.

"Atsila..." He followed her as she stepped back and rubbed his muzzle against hers. "I'm not going anywhere. What sort of mate would i be if i walked off while you were upset?"
He'd be a horrible one that's what and he wasn't about to do that to her.

For the first time she didn't get upset when Nuka called her his 'mate'. She closed her eyes, resting her muzzle against his. "... The same kind that Ah am..." She murmured softly, knowing that she was always walking off when Nuka was upset, especially if he was upset with her. "Ah'm not good, am Ah?"

"You .. have your moments." He nuzzled her carefully knowing that he was walking on ice here. Saying the wrong thing would just send her off again to huff about how horrible he was. "Doesn't mean i care about you any less. Guess it kinda means i have to care more since i have to care enough to make up for when something bad happens"

"Ah try t'be better..." She had been trying. Since the birth of the foals she'd calmed considerably and she didn't wander off nearly as much as she used to. Even when she did wander off she always made certain to be home before dark unless she'd told Nuka beforehand that she'd be with her family... Never out too late with anyone else.
She swallowed hard as she took a step closer to him, resting her head against his neck once more. "Dodge... Called me crazy t'day. Ah'm not crazy... Ah jus' don't see things th'same way as everyone else... Ah don't go callin' him crazy cause 'o th'way he treats everyone else jus' cause Ah don't understand him. Ah try t'make things right... Ah'm here with you, aren't Ah?"

He scrunched his nose slightly. "Don't listen to what he says. You know he couldn't be nice without Rogue sitting over his shoulder." That wasn't entirely the truth but Dodger had always called most of the girls crazy in one form or another. Though had he not been with Atsila for so long he probably would have too.
"He loves you and probably didn't mean for it to hurt your feelings." He curled his head around her neck as he spoke. "Besides, if you weren't as crazy as you are i wouldn't like you as much"

"Y'didn't like me though... Kept tryin' t'get rid of me." She sniffed slightly as she tilted her head high, trying to regain some semblance of dignity. "Ah doubt you ever would've stuck around if Ah hadn't gotten pregnant with your foals... You'd be out there causin' trouble for some other mare. Ah guess Ah did th'world a favor..." A slight smile curved her lips as she eyed him.

"Think you did the world a favor keeping me reined in huh?" He had to laugh slightly. "I only tried to get rid of you because i knew you're father didn't like me. Was trying not to cause trouble for you." He nudged her nose with his lightly. "You're the one kept coming back for a taste"

"Well you were a little girl for a while." He'd met her as a foal so it made sense that'd he'd treated her like a little girl. "You grew up nice though. Even if you still have your moments."
She'd be a brat for the rest of her life but that was alright with him. It meant there'd always be something unexpected happening.
