She couldn't help but grin. I'm catching up to him. Stretching out her legs she figured he'd tell her the finish point once they got near it. Focusing she followed after nearly catching up to him in a good push of speed.
"Aha.... I caught you" she chuckled as she was nearly passing him.

"the lake is the end and you wont not for long." Dhar wore a smirk on his face as he now put all his energy in the run since she caught up to him finaly. his mane and tail wipped about as he pushed his legs not caring if they would tire at the end of the race. stretchign his neck out , he definatly would give her a good race and wouldnt make it easy.

She blinked and narrowed her eyes. Now he was just playing with her it seemed. But wasn't that what a good race was about, doing whatever you had to do to win. She pondered for a moment if she had wings she'd beat him for sure, but how unfair would that be really.
"We'll see about that," she responded giving her own burst of speed. Kelva was a passionate individual, her father's proud blood flowing deep in her veins. Even if she'd loose she'd still feel that her attempt was genuine, but perhaps she'd actually win against this great stallion. She too stretched herself out into a more limber form chasing after him.

Dharmesh plowed on giving it his all and asked his legs for everythign they had. oh he was natorious for playign games when running for he had learned at a early age from his father that conserving energy and stayign back just a bit could win a race depending on the other that is. oh how he loved to race, it was something that made him feel wild and free so there was no time for thinking if she was gonna keep up oh no he was going for the finish. the black adn white stallion let out a perchign whinny, and gave in one last burst of speed that was left in him.

The finish, oh it was close she knew deep inside her as the air whisked past them. Life was a game, a gamble in almost anything. How was this any different she wondered with a toss of her limber neck. But oh the wind as it ran over your ears and neck, stretching over your entire body with such force as you galloped against it. It was truly, simply something that made one feel as if they could fly. Fly? Yes fly. Closing her eyes she asked for more power, more speed as if the beat of long feathery wings were touching the thin layer of air around her. Pushing at an incredible pace she began catching up to him little by little till her hooves mingled with the sound of his. Now would prove the outcome be it fickle or serious.

seemed she was giving him a grand racethat was testing his ablities as a runner. ignorign the ache of legs that where tireing adn the sweat forming that dampened his dark light coat. eye set on the finish line that was just ahead, wether he won or not wouldnt matter though he would have some amusment if he did.the wind felt good as it blew pass while he was running but the race was about to end soon and he knew it. there wasnt much more her could ask of his legs that where already givign everythign they head. no matter, even if he lost the race was fun. not even stopping when they got to the finish, he went barling into the water without even seeing who won.

Kelva was so wrapped up in herself with her passionate moment she never realized that her hooves when then splashed into the water were inches from his own. A white and red streak touching down in the cool refreshing water that felt so wonderful soaking into her steaming back and legs. Though she wasn't exhausted, the sun was quite evil at times, using her as a heated device when it rose the highest in the sky.
But Kelva didn't mind as the water swirled around her so cool and refreshing as she dipped her head deep within nipping playfully at the watery world beneath the air she breathed. When satisfied she poked her head upwards smiling as she watched him wondering just who had won the race. Both were so close that it could have possibly been a photo finish. She took a deep breath of air then shaking her short mane spoke with an air of happiness, "Wow. That was fun. I need to do this more often." She grinned shaking the water once more from her neck and head till only a few fair drips remained.

Dharmesh laughed as he watched Kelva dunk her head in the water as she crashed in the water right with hm. grinning he gave a nod. " yes you shouldif you dont bother to have a bit of fun now and again. besides things would be dull with out havign a bit of fun with friends or someone you know." dunking his own head in the water than lifting it back up and shaking which sent water all over. the water felt so good after a nice run and it helped get away from the heat of the day.

She stood there basking in the sun, though it it bothered her not. Her lungs heaved with great puffs of breath, yet she didn't feel exhausted or otherwise drained from the whole ordeal. The only thing that affected her was the burning in the muscles that surrounded her strong bones. Other than that she felt lively and grand.
Smiling, Kelva inhaled deeply of the rich air that surrounded her and Dhar.
"Fun is something I take pride in, well enjoying what I do anyway, "she mused with a brightness in her smile.
She smiled mischievously a glimmer in her starlit eyes.
Who had won the race?
Tossing a few last drops from her muzzle she glanced over at him with a peculiar grin, "So... who won?" She was curious to see if he'd boldly take the credit, or if even he himself didn't fathom which was victorious.

" thats good to know." Dharmesh gave a chuckle as he took in a deep breath and closed his eyes. exhaling, he always felt after a good run it made one feel more alive and thats why he always enjoyed a good run dispite the aches of the muscles. openign hsi eyes , he glanced at her and gave a sly smirk at her question. it was too easy to just say he won just because he was a stallion, big, strong but then that would mean he would be egotisical when he wasn't. besides his mother Johar had raised him to not be so full of himself. " in honesty i don't know it was a close race. besides does it matter who won the race?"

She stood beaming in spite of herself, feeling they both had finished at the same time. A choreographed melody of lithe legs and powerful willpower. That was what racing was all about! The sheer trial and error, the feeling of being the front runner... when you think about it, its what drove an individual to go even further.
She could help but shake her head letting a light breeze tussle through her shortened mane. "Nope. It doesn't really... just wanted to see how you'd respond seeing that you're bigger and stronger than me," she teased with a silly grin, "Just goes to prove there is honesty running in your veins. Thank ou."
She dipped her head down once more for a drink then turned back to look upon him. "I hope someday when I'm ready, I find a stallion that's honest like you are. Makes a girl feel appreciated."
She didn't say it as a flirtatious quote for her mother wouldn't of tolerated that. More of a thank you for showing he wasn't such an a** like other stallions out to deceive other mares.

Dharmesh had to laugh again as she dunked her head in the water yet again while talking. the race had been fun and it didnt matter much to him who won besides they had givin it their all to try and beat one another. " my mother and father raised me to be honest and proud. plus my mother wouldnt be too happy if i decided to be a egotistical jurk after she raised me to be the opposit." taking a quick drink, once he was done he gave a grin. "i'm sure you will eventualy when the time is right. heck i never expected i would now be mated to my childhood bestfriend when it turned out we had more the just friend feelings for one another."

Childhood best friend, those words settled in her mind wondering who her best friend was. She knew very little about the outside world save when her mother gracefully spread her wings and fly alongside her girls. Aquene of course could keep in stride quite well and even rise to the clouds, but Kelva like her father preferred to race on the emerald outstretched land beneath the ocean of blue above them.
Lately, she'd traveled quite far from her mother, sister, and father exploring things on her own. that is till she met Dhar and found how wonderful it was to just be yourself and let wild dreams take the lead.
"I really don't know anyone other than my family, it must be really nice to have a best friend". She sounded a tad distraught but it started her wondering who out there would make a great friend, someone to trust and confide in.

Dharmesh was shocked to here she did not know anyone besides her family other than himself. though he himself didnt have many friend he still was content with Izzie at his side and the few friends he did have. and upon hearing the hint of distraught in her voice he wondered if she was worried about not havign any friends." it is rather nice to have a best friend or even just to have a friend outside the family though family is important to keep close to." titlign his head he eyed her. " i'm a bit surpised to here you don't have a couple of close friends. though i cant realy talk i only have a few friends if that since i tend to love to wander but now i stick close to my mate usualy."

Pondering for a moment she finally spoke, "Well then... I know I've grown, but I'll just have to find a best friend or someone close to it".
She looked completely determined just then hiding a deep look in her vivid bright eyes. There was a fire burning deep within that was sparking warmer now a days with her thoughts and actions. She was definitely up to finding that missing link. Be it stallion or mare she'd find someone to confide in and make it right.
As a breeze passed them by she felt the coolness and became even more alert to her senses. There had to be what... thousands of soquili out there that could fit the bill so to speak. "Aquene took off after a while and well I've let mom and dad to be on their own. Besides I'm fully grown so I'm exploring the world more now that ever before."
She turned to look at him sheepishly and nodded, "Well I do have one start for a friend don't I," she winked with a bright grin upon her muzzle. Dhar was like a friend to her since he at least had the curiosity to pull her out of the shade for a good while.
