The unplugged version of Conceived Sorrow moved me beyond measure. It exudes musical brilliance and strong emotion, and I felt the orchestration had more substance, unpredictability, and overall better composition than their other orchestrated pieces. Namamekashiki Ansoku Tamerai ni hohoemi will likewise always be special in that regard. Its composition is solid and the technical work is phenomenal, but the sheer power of the song and the emotion in all the instruments is a true demonstration of their talent.

Akuro no Oka tends to make me feel like crying or feel kind of depressed/wistful/etc. whenever I listen to it, I think because I can relate to the lyrics. ((Maybe Kyo was somewhat writing that from experience from being cheated on. It certainly fits the experience.)) I find myself subconsciously mouthing the echoes throughout the song.

Clever Sleazoid's album version has always felt rather important. It feels like a song that embodies what they stand for that exudes the the energy, technical ability, and intensity they have. It's not really a ballad, nor is it so metal-oriented that non-metal fans would have a hard time accessing it.

audience KILLER LOOP will always be special for reasons I don't quite understand. It's just always been one of those standout pieces, yannow?

Oh god...I have a lot. xD

CONCEIVED SORROW (both versions) - the way he sings in a whispery tone just gets me. I loved it.

Namamekashiki Ansoku Tamerai ni hohoemi (both versions, again) - When I first heard it, I never knew what to expect. I'm not normally emotional in public places when I was listening to it either, but when the pause near the end happened and he screamed his heart out I was gone. All the pressure i was feeling from that time just felt like it was lifted off my shoulders for a moment and I fell in love with the song.

Cleaver Sleazoid - I love the intense feeling I get from this song. It has a lot of high energy from it.

Cage - Because it's my absolute favorite, i think it's just a beautiful song.

Umbrella - Because it just one of those things i can never stop listening to no matter how many times i listen to it through the day. It makes me energized and makes me happy in a way.

Mushi - Mushi aways helps me when I'm depressed or sad or just need something to cry to. I just knew the song was emotional once I started to listen to it, and hear kyo's voice crack up every so oftain. I was watching the Live and I felt my heart sunk lower when I saw kyo express the song. It really helped me after a few really rough patches a year ago, and this actually. It helped me a lot.

My friend saw the live for Mushi too, and she thought he was faking it...which got me really angry. At least now she knows to keep her thoughts to herself >_>;

I have more, but it'd be a long list.

I love it all.

This is a good topic! It's cool to read all of the posts ^_^

Marmalade Chainsaw- my first Dir en grey song. It holds meaning for me because of all the anger and the question of whether or not he was sane, it was my mind in a nutshell.

Hotarubi, Yokan, Sajou no Uta, or C- these are lumped together because I feel like I want to fly every time I hear them. When they played C in NYC for the encore and he had everyone sing, man, I don't think many events have ever come close to singing along with them. These are the songs that for the most part cheer me up. (that and I had a similar situation to what was described in Yokan when I was younger.)

Mushi & Kiri to Mayu (Sangeki no Yoru)- These songs mean a lot to me because sometimes I don't feel fantastic about myself and what I've done to other people so I sing this hoping I can make less mistakes and be more thoughtful of others and myself.

Asunaki Koefuku, Koenaki Asu- I love the bass in the song as well as the lyrics. Recently I have prefered the rain ^_^ but I do also feel like the world is being whitewashed over...

enigryS cimredopyH +) an injection- The bass is another favorite in this song but I also identify with the feeling of no control and confusion displayed in the song.

Undecided- Gorgeous song. I love the music and when I listen to it I always feel comforted. I just love it.
(sorry for the page stretch)

Most meaning full.....
Probably Kodou or The Final.

I love both of these because they have strong lyrics and a beautiful melody. Kyos voice just draws me in and it wont let me go. They make feel amotion like no other song. When someone I loved alot died, I listened to only Dir en grey for months, it really helped me move on.
When I am in a bad mood listening to these two songs make me feel lots better. It maybe stupid to say but these songs give me hope.

The song that holds most meaning to me would have to be Kodou and Akuro no oka....also Itoshisa ha fuhai ni tsuki

304 Goushitsu, Hakushi no Sakura really got to me the first time I listened to it. Well... More like the first time I looked up the English meanings, but it was really good. I don't know how Kyo does it, but there is just something in his voice the way he sings it, and the lyrics. They're just... Well I can't really put it into words... They're just really really good. His voice makes them so emotional even more than what the written words are. [I hope that made sense sweatdrop ]

Ain't Afraid to Die is also what made me love Diru. It's really different then they're style, much slower and softer than most of their music. I first heard it while searching their pvs on Youtube, and when I saw the video and listened to the song I was just in aw, it was really beautiful.

Ohh :O I like that mine hasn't been said yet.

As someone that listens to this music completely comprehending all the words (sorry if that sounds snooty, but it adds to meaningful-ness razz ), I'd have to say that 'Riyuu'* tugs the most at me emotionally, and seeing it live just makes it better.

Idk why really. It wasn't my first song of Diru's, it's not blatantly trying to be sad, the words and the tune and the progression and build-up of everything until the final four lines are just really powerful when put together, I s'pose.

Other than that... uh... 'Garden' XD (yeah, THAT one's been mentioned XP). Because it was the first I ever heard and could "sing along" to.

*yeah it's 'Riyuu' and not 'Wake'...where'd 'Wake' even come from?

Namamekashiki Ansoku Tamerai ni hohoemi
The Pledge
Kodou
Dead Tree

I like them because i relate them to some important parts of my life, but mostly because they helped me, is just as you were saying, when he screams you feel as if he's doing it for you too.

Pretty much all their ballads strike a chord with me. *crycry* And:
Mazohyst of Decadence
Taiyou no Ao
Amber
Cage
Dead Tree
Drain Away
Jessica -> reviewed this for an English project and got full marks 3nodding
Hydra
Macabre
R to the Core
Ryoujoku no ame
Asunaki koufuku, koenaki asu
Wake

Bah...I don't know. All their lyrics/songs are full of meaning and feeling it's hard to choose..........this is probably why I love listening to their music.

CAGE
It was my first diru song and it will always be my favorite. heart
The Final also brings about a bit of nostalgia, because I would listen to it nonstop in high school.
*shrugs* Lots of their songs have special meaning to me, but those two are the major ones.
BTW I can't go a day without listening to Vinushka anymore. That one's gonna be with me for a while.
