She smiled slightly. "I have hunted Lessers. Not the adults, I fear I am not that accomplished. But I've caught a few foals in my wanderings." mostly exploring children, though she had slain one right under it's mother's nose. The little colt had ignored it's mother, and tried to play a role it never got to grow into.
Ah well, it had gotten to experience for a few brief moments how it felt to be a protector, to have to fight your fear in defense of your loved ones.
She had granted the foal a high honor. A quick, painless death. She had not played with him, driven him wild with fear. A true warrior that young among the abominations was rare, and she had granted it some measure of respect.
"I had no destination in mind. Though I do have one now. Is there anyplace around here I can wash?" she was covered in blood and dirt from her fight with the bear, and wanted to look at her wounds. She may be a talented fighter, but she was hardly invulnerable, especially against a bear. It wasn't bad, that she recognized, but she needed to examine herself carefully, and make sure there were no injuries she had missed.

Heh, so it seemed she had the abilities to sneak a foal in to her meal as well. That was good to hear, and Loveless only chuckled as Zulimar spoke, nodding in agreement. Once Loveless had grown enough to get sick of small animals, she went for the better meat.
At Zulimar's next words, Loveless only glanced at her almost surprised, but understood her plight very well. I just came from an area with a stream- I can lead you there if you wish." Loveless usually would never show another her territory, but she was looking to move away from that area specifically, since she had already rested their for months at a time.
Undoing her wings, Loveless indicated to Zulimar that they were going to fly. "That is, if you don't mind a quick flight." She grinned playfully, and stretched her wings out before take off. It wasn't far at all by flight- but by walking it would take up too much time.

Zulimar extended her own wings as Loveless took to the air, leaping after her. "Not at all, I quite enjoy the birds eye view." her grin was toothy. She followed after the black mare, eyes moving over the land attentively, piecing the land together. She usually wandered on foot... she'd need to think about exploring from the air. Get a look at the way her little map pieces worked together.

Loveless peered ahead of them to see the familiar scattering of trees. "Ah, it is just over there." And with that, she signaled Zulimar to curve her body just as she did, so that they were heading towards a landing spot.
"Once we reach the ground over there, it is just a few steps over on foot." After speaking, she started to lower herself to land, and with a quick swoop she caught herself on her hooves.
Catching herself for a moment, she tilted her head to the right, showing Zulimar where they would be going. She could even smell the cool water on the breeze, and she was pleased that they were close. "You will be able to wash yourself very soon." She said, almost reassuringly. The thought of sticking her own hooves in some cool water felt nice even for Loveless, and she chuckled to herself while moving through the thress.

She followed, dropping almost gracelessly behind Loveless. She could smell the water, and it was wonderful. Clean. She could appreciate the gesture, though the words rather stuck in her mouth like dust. She pressed them out, however, as the one showing her the way was one of her own, and such a thing was certainly not expected of them. "I thank you." she said firmly, giving another quick smile.

"Its no problem." Loveless added, and when they had finally reached the water, Loveless paused for a moment before putting her front feet in. "Ah, it feels nice." The cool water surrounded the lower part of her legs, and she sighed at how nice it felt.
Maybe Loveless was selfish for wanting to go to the water in the first place, but now she was able to relax for a moment, while the other female washed herself. Keeping her eyes drifted in another direction, she stood quietly, acting very soothed by the surroundings.
When she was that still, it was easy for her dark body to disappear, and it was a skill she practiced a lot for the sake of hunting.

She splashed into the water, washing her legs carefully. Dropped down so she could have the water get to a few cuts on her shoulder that it was hard for her to reach. Glanced over, and for a split second, it struck her like the mare wasn't there, before she realized what had happened. She raised an eyebrow, but continued her bathing, until all of the blood had been washed away. Rising back up, she spoke to the other mare. "I'm finished." She stretched out her wings lazily, then tucked them back in close to her body.

"Well that was fast." Loveless only smirked, and yawned quietly.
"Is there anything else you need?" Her tone was a bit flat, but she remained cool and calm, rather then snipey or rude as usual. It was hard for her to be friendly in a sense, so she only saw it as helping another one of her kin. Besides, Zulimar had done her share for the night, it was no problem showing her an easy spot for now.
But.. now what did the mare want from her? Loveless only stared for a moment before snorting lightly. Socializing was always a pain, and Loveless tried to compose herself while not getting involved with anyone else. No wonder she was always alone, it was just easier most of the time! "I am sure you feel better, now that the dirt is cleaned off."

Zulimar shook her head. "I am quite well, thank you." she'd recognized the flatness in Loveless' tone and returned it quietly. "And how would I be able to repay you, Loveless?" violet eyes watched her attentively. One good turn certainly deserved another, and the black mare's... generosity? kindness?... in showing her the water insead of making her hunt for it until the blood had dried, was certainly something she deemed worthy of recognition. Zulimar did have small nigglings of that, when others of her kind were near. One always showed them proper respect; when it was warranted, of course. And fully out of sight of the Others.

"Any kind of repayment is unnecessary." she answered, bringing the curve of her grin higher on her face. There was nothing she needed, and Loveless certainly wasn't one who would ever ask. She flicked her bangs out of her eyes, and dragged her two feet out of the water. For a moment Loveless was silent, but that was only because she tended to do that out of habit.
"Well you have eaten, and I did earlier, so I believe we are satisfactory on the hunger issue." That was a relief, since Loveless didn't have the energy to hunt. She then brought her eyes on Zulimar who was so silent, and Loveless was unsure of what to say at this point, and what the other female was thinking. It might have been that she was just quiet naturally?

Zulimar gave a graceful shrug.
She was most certainly not accustomed to extended conversation- she was hardly an Other, to try and bring up random topics to fill what could be an awkward silence. Instead she merely relaxed, basking in the sun on her wings, and the chill of the water on her legs. She would be quite content right now, to settle on a rock and take a nap.

Again Loveless sighed and raised a brow at the female. After a moment, she undid her wings and relaxed her tail.
"Well, it was nice running into you Zulimar.. for a bit."
She stretched herself out and proceeded to move her wings quickly. "You seem preoccupied, and I am as well. I am sure we will meet up again, and I hope that stream does you well in a knowledge sense." In her strange way, she said goodbye, and then grinned for a moment before soaring back into the air again.
They really would sit there all day- Loveless didn't enjoy that kind of talking either.

She watched her leave, nodding her head. "Goodbye Loveless." She moved over to the bank as the female left, curling up on herself, watching the stream quietly. How tiring the day had been. BUT. At least one lesson had been learned.
Pay better attention to where your prey's parents are.
