Are boxes and trunks still obtained by just randomly finding it? I haven't gotten one in years...
Yeah, they are. The random event function was broken for about a year, which explains why you never got one for so long- there were threads with links to get events that you "missed" though, when the function was broken.
However, the function has recently been repaired, so I'm not quite sure if those links work any more (never tried them myself after I got wind that the random events were working again, so I wouldn't know).
