It seems like you put alot of thought into this, and although I rarely - if ever - use towns myself, this would definitely be something that would attract alot of users and make Gaia seem a whole lot better.

However, there always has to be a pessimist/realist among us, and that unfortunately seems to have to be me.

While these ideas are great and sound awesome in theory - although some parts of it simply won't happen until a long time from now - making a petition won't do much for it. Really, a petition won't do anything at all.

Honestly, petitions are great for things like item suggestions or quest ideas or shop ideas, etc.

Not for requesting a major, time consuming, money grubbling site revamp that would, like all of Gaia's major updates, 'cause more harm than good at first.

Honestly, I bet you more than anything the admins have already thought of this.

Countless of users have already requested a towns update and I don't exactly think the Admins are going to deny them that. These ideas, although well thought out and sound generally neat, are things that the devs - y'know, the people they PAY to make things like this real - have already thought about and are planning to implement.

Something like this would take tons of money and time and honestly, I'd much rather see that effort go into the Battle System. >__> { I just hate towns though, I haven't liked it since it was released. }

Maybe you should wait until the next large towns update and then storm into the 'SUGGESTIONS FOR TOWNS' thread that they'll most likely make, THEN post this. Because this petition isn't going to do much, since most of what you're suggestion will take so much planning and effort and time and... well, I can assure you that they've already thought of this and are trying to think of the next best way to make it.


Gaia is a growing community and modeled after one of the worlds largest MMO's - Ragnarok Online.

The Battle System will be their next HUGE step towards becoming one of the best hangout sites ever, and beleive me, a more realistic towns has already been planned. These are nothing but suggestions that will be taken into stride once the next big update comes, and probably won't be anything new to the admins.

they'll only add on a few of these things at once instead of altogether.

I'm in no way saying you ought not tell people about this, but my suggestion is to first post it in the Site Feedback forum and NOT petitions, and then let the regular users THERE rip into it and give you their, er, feedback - it'll be alot better than the repetitive, incoherent mess I just posted. XD

Maybe I'm just too pessimistic/mean and I'll be proven wrong, maybe you'll get even better ideas~ Who knows. XD

And I'm not mad at you guys for stating the truths. The thing is though, unlike most, I realized that already...I just thought that maybe posting it and making a statement would make more people realize the potential of towns if we make some changes.

It doesn't matter if the users see the full potential though, what matters is that the admins and developers do. There are ALOT of things the users want, but they're just so impractical/costly/whatever else that we won't be getting them.

Site feedback is meant for, well, just that, feedback on the site and what users want to see. While alot of your ideas are neat and fun to entertain, and while I'm sure alot of users will agree and tell you that they're neat, the admins and dev's have probably already thought of them and in the long run, support for your idea won't make it come any faster/sooner/whatever.

Look at all of the petitions - the mermaid one, the nitemare anklet one - those have been around for AGES and the items are just now being made. xD

I doubt it'll even surprise them, since, like I said, a more realistic towns HAS been planned { it'd be rather silly if they weren't planning on updating it, really - towns is so popular!}, its just a matter of how and when.
