I like all her characters but they do come across as lovestruck, girls that cant take care of themselves... Except for Takiko(Fushigi Yugi Genbu Kainden) shes tough!

Yep that's about it... but it is sweet at the end though when everything is concluded...

In order it would probably be;
1; Tanpopo- She's optimistic and pretty in my opinion! Also, she's always kind and ready to help a friend... not to mention she has a pet fox! xd I mean, how awesome is that! Tanpopo was also the first Yu Watase character I saw!
2; Takiko- She has a strong will, she can take care of herself quite nicely, and she kicks some serious butt! XD How can you hate this pretty Genbu priestess?! 3nodding
3; Hmm... I guess Alice. Though Alice was quite.... incapable, in the beginning of the story, she grew quickly. From being a low self-esteemed coward to being a independent young lady! You have to give her propts for that! biggrin

I don't know about hated. I know a lot of people seem to hate Aya from Ayashi no Ceres but I really loved her. I can sympathize with her. Alice was pretty cool but it has definitely been a while since I've read those. Riiko is a bit on the awkward side but other than that I reallty like her too. But I understand everyone's point on being too lovestruck all the time.

If u wanna hate one, hate the one in AB now thats a girl that gets on ur nervs!!!! Now Miaka u can get to like her at the OVA's more than ever (even taught I never hated her XD)
Aya I still dont know what is to hate about her but ok o_O
My fave caracter will always be Ceres in the Watase stories!!! I just love her! Shes my woman 3nodding heart lol

I don't hate them . . . I just have moments when I want to smack them upside the head because I can't believe how stupid they are. Especially when they do something that they weren't supposed to do in the first place but they do it thinking it's going to help and it just ends up blowing up in their faces. *catches breath* Other than that I really like her main female roles^^.

Okay I have to add one other character of hers that I can't stand and that's Erika from Imadoki. No she's not the main character but MY GOD! She fails so badly she can't even kill herself properly! It was pathetic. She is definately one of my most hated anime characters of all time. My annoyance at Miaka doesn't even begin to compare.

Takiko Okuda is best of all. She is my all time hero. No offense to all the Miaka fan's but Miaka is a total b***h. I mean it. She is a stuck up bratt that doesn't know when to shut up. Aya, Alice, Riiko, Takiko, Tanpopop they are all really nice people. Aya is a bit annoying in the beginning but she is actually really cool. Riiko is really sensivtive and sweet. Alice is really kind and sweet and so is Tanpopop. Takiko is really sweet, kinda sensitive, nice, and she can fight which is great

Really? Is that so? I don't hate them...
I liked Miaka, Takiko and Alice.
Aya was a bit annoying in the beginning but she grew up as the series went on. As for Riko, I didn't particularly like her but I didn't hate her either.
Personally, I think all of her main females are great. whee
