Okay, I know I've ranted about how if you cut, don't say it to strangers. But, since the thread is here, and I don't really care what anyone thinks about it and all of you are pretty awesome anyways, I'll just say it.
I used to cut awhile ago. Let's see, I started in what, sixth grade and ended it just last year. I did it all for my boyfriend, who pleaded me to quit. Why I did it? Well, I'd really not say, so I won't. But I always thought I deserved it. It always made me feel better afterwards, too. But seeing the scars made me want to quit--- but I couldn't. In a way, cutting WAS like a drug--- it got addictive.
My stance on drugs--- FECK no. My friends call me a straight-edge, and I suppose I am a bit. Though I'm not going to place myself anywhere... because I like to drink occasionally, and I love caffeine and I eat meat., lmfao. I simply don't like drugs. For one, you could die from them. Two, they make you act like a complete and utter dumbass, and I don't want that image on me. The one I want is one of intelligence, badassery, and elegantesque. Don't know if I've achieved that yet anywhere in my life, but that's what I want. I don't want to be seen as someone who does drugs. My friends do it, they respect that I don't and it's a happy day.

Actually, if remember correctly, she did say she does drugs. Cutting is a drug, it's just as addictive, and gets you into the addictive state of mind. What I'm talking about when I say "the addictive state of mind" is addictive thinking, if you talk to a drug addict long enough they will say things that seemingly make sense on top but take the time to dissect it and it doesnt make sense at all. An example of this is: Dad: Are you done with you term paper? Kid: Yeah. Dad: But your teacher said you didnt turn it in, why? Kid: Because I still have like 2 pages to do. Dad: I thought you were done. Kid: I am done, I just need to write a couple of pages more.
Notice the contradiction in the kid's speech? That is addictive thinking, thinking that makes perfect sense to the addicted person(s) but doesnt make sense to anyone else.

Well, yeah, I thought about that when I said "Cutting doesn't seem as addictive." But the reason I said that was because with drugs, the chemicals force your brain to want to do them, but with cutting, no chemicals are involved. So really that's what I meant.

-Trenton 07! Why do you think that people feel better after cutting? By cutting the body it forces the brain into a state of euphoria. By cutting they force the brain to release the enzymes that make you feel good. In a way it is just like ecstasy.

I drink probably more then I should. I also have the occasional cigar on a special occasion.
As for other drugs?
Well I've had some good times on recreational drugs, I've done all variations of weed (I still do on a very rare occasion) it was great, to be honest, weed is about as harmful as drinking and much less expensive... but it is something to be done socially and only with people you know and trust, I've tried Ex, which to be honest, did nothing for me. I've never tried anything hallucinogenic wise or anything above class B, as I'm not stupid. Other then that I've only ever had aspirin for headaches and prescribed drugs.
The thing with drugs is, it all comes down to the individual and despite what th governments want you to think, there is no definite effect on any one individual. I'm not gonna advocate doing drugs, but I won't tell you not too, but I will say this... whatever you take, be careful and make sure if its your first time, someone you absolutely trust who has used them before sits through it with you straight laced.

i don't see the point of cutting. i was playing with my friends knives and i got nothing out of it. i have one cut for each knife (5).
honestly, "emos"most only do it for the attention, cuz it didnt hurt, it didnt "feel good", it was just "wow, that was pointless"

Sort of like ecstasy, except you don't feel like you love everybody and that everything feels good--- but yes, cutting makes you feel like everything is better temporarily, like it's making you feel better. When in reality, you only become even more depressed by participating in the act. Especially when you have nasty scars to look at.
