When I first saw the quest I thought he was putting the garlic in the flower and trying to make it fashionable and antivampire.

Okay, so I've done a little research and apparently there are people going around saying that Black Orchid is a nickname for wolf's bane. I can't find any evidence to support this. Has anyone else seen it anywhere besides out of the mouth of a gaian?

I looked up the Black Orchid in relation to vampires. It has none. Who knows what gaia is thinking?

Black orchid is suposingly used in medicine. Certain things repel vampires, holy symbols etc. Strong medical symbols/concoctions is one of those.

Orchids are used in medicine. Some in official medicines most in tribal/symbolic medicines. I'm still trying to find vampire fears.

I just researched.... Orchids are related to Werewolves....
Fiction such as Werewolf in London and The Orchid Shroud relate werewolves to Black Orchids.
In Werewold in london, the scientific name for the fictional Black orchid is lupina lumina

Werewolf in London starting Plot: Botanist Dr Wilfred Glendon goes on an expedition into the Himalayas in search of the marifisa lupina lumina, a rare black orchid that only blooms by moonlight. He finds the marifisa in a remote valley but is attacked and his arm gored by a wolf creature. Back in England he meets Dr Yogami who implores him to give the marifisa clipping, the only known cure for lycanthropy, to him. And then as the moon rises, Glendon finds himself turning into a werewolf creature, rampaging through the streets of London and driven to attack people.

Interesting. But do all black orchids have that ability or just that species?
