Aphismet was frowning in confusion as he turned the corner into the living room. He could hear music coming from the box? He peered in carefully, scared to find Munchie had eaten a radio or something...
"Ah, Beauregard!" he sighed with relief, smiling. "Seems you two made friends, hmm?"
Munchie, already recognising Aphismet's voice, opened her eyes and let go of the pillow, mewling to be picked up. Aph just reached in and gave her a scritch on the head.
"I have to go to work now, little darling... Beaubeau, would you keep an eye on her while I'm gone, until Isi gets back?" He asked the little whale, giving it a friendly pat on the head.
Munchie was chirping dissaprovingly at Aphi for not picking her right up. When he moved away to write a note for his brother, Munchie started trying to climb out of the box, using the pillows as stepping blocks to get her higher. Soon, she'd be outta here and back on her human, like she ought.

Beauregard nudged the little dragon back into the box the moment she tried climbing out. He had heard Aphismet loud and clear and he was going to be the best babysitter ever! He gave Aphismet a large overly exaggerated wink with his big blue whale eye to make sure that he knew he was going to be on the job.
"You ain't never had a friend like me!" Beau barked happily, cleverly using lyrics from Aladdin to prove his point.

Aphi smile and nodded at Beaubeau, petting Munchies once more before leaving, pinning the note about the Gwee on the front door for Isi to find.
Munchies was outraged! She'd been nudged down her arduous climb by the music-ball, and her human was leaving again! Unnacceptable! Like a petulant little lady, Munchies sat on her rump, turned up her green scaly nose, and vocalised her displeasure quite clearly and loudly, chirping out exactly what she thought of her whole situation.
When she was done getting things off her chest, she comically nodded her head once with finality, got up and turned her back to the stupid human, flicked her tail at him, and promptly buried herself under a mountain of pillows with a final loud SQUEAK of anger.
Too bad Aph was already gone.

Rolling his eyes, BeauBeau eased himself over the box and hung near the edge. It was then he began to sing a slow lullaby-like version of "My favorite things". Perhaps with this song, he could calm the little dragon.

Munchie's tail, the only thing sticking out of the box, slowly and reluctantly started to swing in time with the music again. Dangit, it's like it was against her will! Stupid tail...
Still, the little Gwee stubbornly refused to sing along or come out of the hidey-hole... but by the swaying tail, she was mellowing.

Reaching tentatively into the box, BeauBeau tried to reach underneath the pillow and pet her head. Perhaps after this song, she was calm enough to come back out and continue singing with him.

Oooohhhhh, she didn't want to forget why she was mad! But it was so hard when the music was so fun and she wanted to sing along... When something suddenly petted her head, she closed her eyes contentedly and forgot completely that she was supposed to be upset. Turning around in the pillow-fortress, Munchies poked her head out the hole and chirped along in singsong.
Ah, to be young and have a short attention span.

BeauBeau was more than pleased to see that the little dragon had wormed out of her hiding place in the pillows. When she began to sing again with him and chirp notes, BeauBeau happily squirted a new song at her from his Disney Collection.
"Just a spoon full of sugar helps the medicine go down!

Munchies tilted her head along to the beat and had her eyes closed happily. She chirped and squeeled along, her energy rising as she did until she began to find that her whole body had to move! Leaping out of the pillow-hole, Munchies began to dance, hippity-hopping from one paw to another, turning circles around the box.
She finished the song by throwing herself on the pillows and clamping her mouth around the fabrid, chewing happily.
Oh! She wanted to pick a song next! Opening her eyes excitedly, she let go of the pillow and began chirping an incomprehensible string of nightingale chirps, attempting a song of her own.

BeauBeau tilted his head and listened for a moment, trying to follow the song she was chirping. A breakthrough! She was trying to chirp on her own, a song of her own! That reminded him of his first couple attempts at singing ... He was next to Dr. Kyou's iPod.
Unfortunately, the tune didn't strike a familiar tune so the red balloon whale simply floated and waited for the song to be complete. The least he could do was show respect and listen.

Munchies finished her song with a happy twirl of her tail, and gazed up at the ball-thing expectantly. Come on, wasn't it great? Wasn't she the best? Surely her song would earn her some praise!

Beauregard smiled the best he could smile with his whale grin and he rose up in the air, slapping his fins together the way Isi would clap when he finally sang a song that Isi enjoyed. It was called 'bravo', Beauregard thought. That's what Isi said. It was amazing, Beau thought, to teach a little dragon so much within such a short amount of time! If she stayed here, she'd probably stay here, he could teach her everything he knew! Reaching down, he pet the little dragon's head and gave a curt nod.

Munchie's tail twitched happily at the praise, and when the bubble-song-thing came closer, she stood up on her hind legs and gave its rubbery cheek a friendly lick. She liked it here, she decided. Even if her human left her in the box, it wasn't so bad after all...
