Riko caught up to Sen just as the rabbit was allowed to dart off, catching only a glimpse of it. So she hadn't been seeing things- he was a bit disappointed at that- but had it been necessary to shout like that. Coming to a stop behind Sen, he laughed again, "That rabbit bother y-" He was cut off by the loud footsteps of the elephant. His blue eyes widened, and without realizing it he jumped back and stood behind Sen for whatever protection that might offer.
What was an elephant doing sneaking up on them like that?! He sighed loudly when he went right by them, it wasn't often he saw an elephant so close or alone. The closest he'd been before was when his mother had shown him one.

Sen watched in awe. When the large creature was far enough away her footing was no longer at risk, she gazed over her shoulder and burst into laughter. What a coward!
She felt it unesscary to point it out. That cocky grin she gave him probably said it all.
The cub dashed forward, interestingly enough toward the elephant. Each footstep was like a roar from one of her parents, multipled in volume. The tiny voice was carried as high and loud as it could when she called out, "Where are you going?"
There weren't usually lone ones like this, right?
The deep, almost tired gaze from the elephant indicated he at least knew she was there, but he said nothing.

Riko's eyes met Sen's when she looked over her shoulder, and it took him only a split second to realize where he was- just in time for her to start laughing and then grin at him. He puffed up indignantly and immediately scrambled away from her and off to the side.
Stupid, stupid, stupid. He couldn't help that he didn't want to get squished, for he was an awful lot smaller than an elephant. Maybe she was just as dumb about elephants as she was about flying- and the stranger seemed to support that idea when she went off after the elephant. Still upset over how he'd hid, he only watched from his spot with narrowed eyes.

"WHERE. ARE. YOU. GOOOINNGGGG?" Sen screamed up, up, up. Maybe she just hadn't been loud enough? Or he hadn't understood her? He MUST have that time, with as loud and slow as she'd said--er, yelled--it!
The elephant paused, and there was silence all around them. If there had been any birds about, aside from the one resting on his back, they, too, were quiet. Finally, his voice boomed, slowly and calm, "To the graveyard, little one."
Sen watched as he began walking. "WHY WOULD YOU WANT TO GO TO THE ELEPHANT GRAVEYARD? THAT PLACE IS REALLY GROSS! I WAS JUST THERE!"
For some reason (maybe because he was watching her?), her gaze fled over her shoulder and met with the other cubs. She smirked, stuck her tounge out at him tauntingly, then held her head high and marched after the elephant.
Wimp!

Riko rolled his eyes as Sen yelled out again to the elephant, wondering why she would bother to try to talk to it after it almost trampled them! (Or, that was his story and he would stick to it, of course.) His nose wrinkled when she got a reply, and then shouted that she had been to the elephant graveyard.
He glared at her back, since she wasn't facing him at the time. Why would she get to go there, but when he tried that time with his friend they got stopped? And every other attempt had been foiled, though he hadn't put a great deal of effort into it. He didn't get to dwell on it long because Sen turned around and stuck her tongue out at him.
With a low growl, he grumbled inwardly and hopped closer.
"Dumby," he called out to Sen, "Why does anyone go to a graveyard?"

"The only reason someone wouldn't go somewhere would be because they're scared." At some point, either by her slowly down or him speeding up, they were side-by-side behind the elephant. "You can hide behind me if it's too much for you," she suggested.
Truthfully, Sen could hardly recall why she'd been there. Because Yue had been too much of a wimp and she was trying to defy him, wasn't it? Aside from nearly breaking her neck, and the smell, the place hadn't been that bad.
"ARE YOU GOING TO VISIT SOMEONE?"
Clearly, some things still went over the little cubs head.

Riko rolled his eyes at her comment about the only reason someone wouldn't go is because they're scared. He didn't mean it that way, and he didn't even realize how he was getting back what he generally did.
"I'm not afraid," he hissed, especially unhappy with the permission to hide behind her if he needed to. Riko was suddenly sorry he'd never bothered to try to get there more, because then he could honestly say he'd been there. He knew better than to say he'd tried to but been caught every time. He rolled his eyes and groaned loudly when she asked if he was going to visit someone.
"Out of the way," Riko snapped and shoved his way past Sen, intent on leaving now and at least pushing her away as he did. This wasn't so much fun anymore, you could only take so much of someone like the strange white cub.

"Hey, don't push me!"
How DARE he push her! Who did he think he was?! It didn't really matter who he was! Nobody pushed her! Pathetic, tiny teeth bared, the female cub tackled the male one.
Yet again, the elephant stopped, watching the two as they tumbled to the ground and then rolling his eyes. Lions really were stupid beasts. There was no hope even for the young ones anymore, if you asked him.
His trunk reached down and scooped Sen up, pulling her high into the air.
"Hey! Put me down!" Flailing wildly did little to escape her grasp, and finally she gave up. Held in front of the elephants face, she tilted her head.
"Please behave, little one, if you are too follow me. I want my death to be a peaceful one."
When she was set back on the ground, Sen nearly fell over. Death...? DEATH?! What did he mean--
All at once, it hit her.
Graveyard.
"W-What?! But! But!" She rapidly turned from Riko, to the elephant, and back again. "He's not serious, is he?! He looks FINE! He's going to..! He's going to..!"

Even from behind it could be seen that the yellow cub was grinning when she yelled at him for pushing her, and he expected some form of retaliation but did not prepare for it. He was easily pushed over when Sen tackled him, and while he wasn't prepared for it he wasn't so slow to react- after all, he was one of four boys, and probably the roughest out of them.
"Hey!" he growlled, managing to roll over and snap at her- though it was very poorly managed and aimed, and before he knew it she was pulled away from him by the elephant. He managed to stifle back a squeak of surprise, the last thing he needed was a repeat of what happened when he first saw the elephant.
Riko watched with a smirk as it seemed she was going to be reprimanded for the trouble they both had caused. Despite his big-talk, even he was a little surprised when the elephant said he was going for his death. The cub knew what a graveyard was for, but didn't expect that someone would know and be so calm about it. He hadn't been serious when he implied that, not at all. With wide blue eyes, he looked up at Sen and then to the elephant to try to determine how serious he was being about it. Riko picked himself up off the ground, watching the elephant for some indication with wide blue eyes.

"I am old for one of my kind, cubs," the far larger beast told the two of them. Had Sen been older, and had she thought about it, it would have made sense that most were so calm in death. Wouldn't they have to be to be able to walk somewhere their ancestors had died, and die there?
But, Sen wasn't older, and she wasn't about to reason out something like this. It didn't add up. "But! But!"
Ignoring her pleas, if one would call them such, the elephant continued on his final walk. The cub whined, shifting uneasily from side to side. "But you're all alone," she whispered, not nesscarily to him.
"I'll come with you!" the cub cried suddenly. "Not alone! That's too sad!" Her plan was, in truth, to convince him not to die at all, but she'd need to be following him for that.

Riko watched dumbly for a moment as the elephant explained and Sen declared that she would go with him so he would not be alone. She may not seem so smart, but Sen seemed to have some emotions- and something other than the how she'd been acting when it was just them. He glanced off towards home, where he'd said he would go, but decided this would be better.
He would follow after them. Of course, the cub had an ulterior motive- it'd be harder to catch him if he was going with an elephant. And he could make sure that the white cub was not so bad, the elephant wanted her to be quiet and if Riko went he could make sure she was! He liked being in charge, after all. The cub didn't realize him going could cause more trouble.
Without announcing it, he decided to tag along as well and followed after them.

Overall, neither company was rejected or shown as an annoyance to the dying soul. Once they stopped fighting, anyway. It was almost nice, in fact. Even if the female one was sort of loud.
"What about your friends? And what about your family?" Sen prodded.
"They are gone."
"All of them?!" The cub gawked up at her new friend. Her siblings were mostly annoying. Yue was on her top list of annoying, actually. But if all of them were gone, and all her friends were gone, and Mom and Dad were gone... What would she do? It was too scary to think about!
"All of them," repeated the elephant.
"What's your name?"
"Hakajo."
"I like it!" Sen announced. "I'll call you Haka!" Then, she thought of something, and turned sharply to the other lion. "Who are you, anyway?"

Riko was annoyed with Sen's questioning the elephant, but only because he felt he should be annoyed at almost everything she said and did- holding a childish grudge and all. Despite this seeming annoyance, he listened- he was very curious about it as well. He couldn't imagine being all alone, especially when he had such a big family. Or, he thought it was pretty big. He had four brothers, a sister, a nephew and his mom and dad. Or, those were the only ones around here!
He opened his mouth to ask, but Sen was quicker than he was. He rolled his eyes and figured that if he didn't ask she probably would and then he would get everything he wanted to know anyway. Riko was startled by Sen's sudden turning on him and asking who he was.
"Pfft, like I should tell you," he said, puffing up proudly and then jogging ahead of Sen to talk to the elephant, "It's nice to meet you, Hakajo. I'm Mafuriko! I've never talked to an elephant before."

Sen had a variety of insults that flooded into her mind in the time it would take her to twitch her nose. But her new friend, her new elephant friend Hakajo, had told her not to fight if she was going to come. She'd save them for later, and attack him with all of them at once! He'd definiately cry. Or find another person to hide behind.
The cub chuckled at the thought. No matter what he did, she'd have that on him forever.
"Nice to meet you," Hakajo responded. For an older lion, the fact he was dying would have been obvious by his tone. "You two shouldn't wander alone."

Riko did his very best to completely ignore the annoying cub behind him, and hopped along happily with Hakajo. It was lucky that the elephant was going to slow, it made it easier for someone with much, much smaller strides to keep up with him.
"I wander alone all the time," he said proudly, glancing back towards Sen briefly and then back to the elephant, "I can take care of myself." Again, Riko didn't want to mention how he'd been stopped from going some places and he didn't want to remind anyone about him hiding behind Sen, or that almost every cub needed at least a little help with getting food.
