Ianthe lay stretched out in the sands, staring up at the moon. To her left, there was the ship...their ship. The tribe was official now, and the general morale seemed to be benefitting.
However, even amidst the joy, it was nice to get away for awhile. Rarely these days had she taken a break to enjoy the small pleasures, such as the moon glancing off the choppy waters; she had been too busy welcoming the newcomers to the Islands.But now those newcomers were members, and things seemed to be looking up.
For the second time that night, Ianthe found herself grinning.

Nereida was lying luxsuriously on the ship's deck, staring out into the ocean. 'Wow,' she thought, 'it seemed so long ago that I first found myself on this island.' Nereida glanced around at the others. 'And now we're actually a tribe.'

Ianthe stood, shaking sand off of herself. It was time to go back to the others. Padding over, she noticed Nereida on the deck, looking deep in thought. Coughing loudly as she went by, she gestured subtly to Merlin, off on his own on the beach.

Nerina flicked her tail excitedly as she neared Ianthe. Her new tattoo on her left hind hip shined happily. Stopping a couple feet away from the Elder, she laid down in some sand, and waited for Keegan to catch up.
Although he was following Nerina closely, Keegan could not help but be distracted by the surrounding scenery. Ocean, sand, grass, ocean, ocean, trees, modifoxes. Catching the sight of a crab scuttling by, he tried to take a bite out of it. Yelping loudly, the crab had pinched his chin and was refusing to let go.

Ianthe noticed Nerina approached, and nodded her head in greeting. Looking up at Keegan's yelping, she chuckled and returned her attention to Nerina. "Well, one of you seems to be adjusting fine," she murmured. "How have you been faring?"
Rolling his eyes from his place on th shoreline, Merlin padded over to the yelping Keegan. Shaking his head in exasperation, he smacked the crab with his paw, sending it flying into the sand and scuttling away.

“I love it here,” Nerina said gently, lowering her head to a slight bow. Looking up again, she watched for Keegan's reaction after having the crab knocked off of him.
When Merlin had batted the crab away, Keegan immediately rubbed his chin on the sand to make sure that he was not numb anywhere. Numbness would be a cause for concern by his account of history -- usually meant infection for him. He shook his entire self has he jutted his head upwards, and then whirled his head in circles, still checking for any signs. “I... should be fine...” he mumbled quietly as he walked over to Nerina.

"I'm glad," Ianthe replied quietly, giving Nerina a small smile. She sighed as Merlin hit the crab and just stood there. "Ever the social butterfly that one," she muttered, knowing Merlin would probably be able to hear her.
As Keegan walked over, she nodded her head to him as well."Stick with fish," she said with a small laugh.

Keegan flicked his tail angrily when Ianthe spoke, thoroughly embarrassed by the incident. Twitching his ears back against his head, tail between his legs, he scampered off around the ship for some quiet time.
“He does that sometimes.” Nerina said, keeping her attention towards the Elder, “So when should the hunters go out to catch fish?” she asked curiously, thinking of the next time she will be hungry.

[ Hi guys. :3 Tarianna is a kit that was just accepted in... for the little thing I had to do to get into the tribe, Tarianna came in contact with Merlin so, they have a little background now... and yeah. Hi. xD ]
Tarianna Rose sniffed around inside the musty deck of the wreaked ship. nuzzling stones and other things into the corners so that the center would be clean for her to play in. This was her favorite place on the whole island so far. Her mind wandered to random things, as she played with the rocks, she found one thing that wasn't so much a rock. It was hard and gold. Tarianna pushed it with her snout a few time,s her purple fur damp and matted there from all the clearing she was doing.
There were a few other objects like that in there and she figured they were just weird rocks. 'Into the other corner then' she thought pushing it away with her snout. Then she herd the yelp of another fox, and squeezed out of a hole broken into the bottom of the ship, and out onto the beach where some of the older foxes lazily lounged. Naturally curious Tarianna began sniffing and trying to assess the scene, yet nothing abnormal came to mind. Nerina and Ianthe the elder were chatting away about stuff that came out boring to her, so she walked around to the from on the shp, which was closest to the water. She wondered if you could catch fish in water here, and waded in a few paces and started to bat at the water like she had seen the adults do. She never caught any fish and got a bit frustrated.. After awhile she just started prancing in the water trying to hop on the fish.

Ianthe repressed the urge to grin as poor Keegan ran off. Keeping her attention on Nerina, she shrugged slightly. "I'm afraid you'd have to ask Kiy, if Keegan doesn't know. I haven't really checked the fish supply in a few days. But I'm sure Kiy will go out fishing within a day or so."
At the sounds of splashing, Ianthe looked over her shoulder at the young kit, Tarianna, obviously trying to catch fish. Amused by the little one's antics, she gestured to Merlin. "Go help your charge before she scares off our food supply all on her own, Merlin."
Sighing in exasperation, Merlin padded over to Tarianna, quickly picking her up by the scruff of her neck and setting her back down on the sands. "You could've asked someone for a fishing lesson," he teased.

Tarianna gave Merlin a glare. She stared at the water in slight annoyance, her ears going back a bit.
"Well, I wanted to do it all by myself, just like you guys." she commented in a voice that wasn't quite admiration, but it came off more like she wished she could be older.
Suddenly, she stood up, her eyes bright with energy again.
"but, if you're offering to teach.." Tarianna Rose made some sort of a grin as he tail started to wag happily. "I'd love for a lesson or two" she jumped back into the water again making a splash that hit Merlin slightly.
"So what do I do now, huh?"

Marina sighed happily as she stretched out on the sand. It was so nice to be part of something for a change. She stood up, shaking a bit of sand and looked around; Merlin was playing with a little kit who she didn't know, Ianthe was talking to Nerina, and Keegan was..running away?
She really wondered about the sanity of this tribe, sometimes....
((Once/if Furii gets Elderfied they can be friends! :3))

Glowering at his charge, Merlin spat out a mouthful of salty water. "First off...stand still. You'll scare them all away." He waded gracefully into the water next to Tarianna, then stilled. "You need to wait for the fish to get used to your presence. Don't move at all."
Caspian, who had been curled up asleep on the ruined helm, reluctantly stood up as he detected Marina nearby. Leaping gracefully, he landed in the sands and padded over to greet her. "Hello," he said simply.

Marina turned to him, a smile creeping onto her face, unbidden. "Hey you," She said. "How was your nap?" She asked playfully. It was nice to see him here, and it made her happy that he was talking to her.
Trying to write this off as she was happy to see he was part of the tribe, she smiled again. "Aren't they cute?" She asked, nodding to Merlin and the kit.
