I watched Bride and Prejudice as my first Bollywood movie. I was really attracted to the songs and dances and the lighthearted spirit of the movie. So then I watched Lagaan, and wow, what a great movie! There are not many Bollywood movies you can get here at Blockbuster, those were the only two until I managed to find Monsoon Wedding. Now I have been to a shop that sells Bollywood movies and I have seen Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (which I totally loved), Dhoom2 (another wow) and a couple of others that I am too lazy to go and get the dvd's to write them down. I am hooked though! ^_^ I bought Devdas but have not seen it yet and some others. Maybe this weekend I will watch another one.

That is so cool! My first Bollywood film was Kahbie Khushi Kahbi Gham. So you bought the movies? Awesome! Have you watched Fanaa or Chak De India? Those I think came out on DVD and those are two of my favorites movies I have recently seen. xd

I have not watched Chak De India, but I have heard of it, I just don't have it, or Fanaa, I will check it out. Tonight I watched Jab We Met, with Kareena Kapoor, and I was impressed with her, far more than her role in Kahbie Khushi Kahbi Gham. I still have not watched Devdas. I started it but did not like the quality of the dvd so I got another one and I hope the quality is better. I have the CD, the music is lovely.

I definaelt recommend Chak De India and Fanaa. I watched Jab We Met recently too...I liked it, but it wasn't my favorite...it was quite popular though. Kareena won Best Actress for it (even if I found soem other actresses of teh year a bit more deserving of it...but she did pretty well). I never wathed Devdas...but I was told teh story and I watched a different version of it...but I am sure the version with Aishwariya and Shah Ruhk would be so much better. I think it is so cool when non-Indians fall in love with Bollywood. XD Mainly because it isn't as unique if an Indian love Bollywood...it shows the growth of the industry when non-Indians become fans. XDD I wish people at my school would give Bollywood a chance and not shoot it down because it is different from Hollywood flicks. DX

Hi again, I have yet to watch Devdas but I listen to the cd alot, I am currently fascinated by the voice of Shreya Ghoshal (Ghosal sometimes spelled). Wow, her voice is just about the best I have ever heard, particularly on the opening song. I will check out the other films you have recommended. Right now though I am watching Saawariya, and it is slow going because the film seems slow to me. Though I must say it is a very attractive film with this amazing twilight ambiance of an almost magical nature. I will go and check your film section here and see if anyone wrote anything about it.

It is too bad when people shoot down Bollywood movies. Really they should give it a chance, but Americans...what can you say, they are sometimes not open to experience. confused I plan to go to India so I want to know all about it.

I loved the voices in Devdas! I didn't like Saawariya much, but it was decent. It had a lot of pointless songs...they were way to repetitive in my opinion...like lyrics-wise and there were many fo them. The scenery was pretty cool, I admit.

i start liking bollywood when my childhood friend told me about a good movie to watch at her house and it was 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge'.

i really did like it and we watched more bollywood movies.

My fav. part was the music and the dancing.
