Those eyes. Yes she was indeed drawn to them, not just becuase of his power but the danger that reflected in them. it felt like for eternity she stared into those eyes and when he spoke finally it was like pulling one self awake from a nightmare.

Zyan pale face was flushed in embarressment. To feel...so violated in her own mind was a new feeling for her. She wanted to go hose down as if washing herself would rid her of the feeling. Which was very strange since she detested water.

And as much as she was thrilled to be of the body, she couldn't help but feel insulted as he basically told her she had no brains and was basically all brawn. She shifted in her seat, unable to look at the teacher as he spoke his last statement. So he did read everything...even the fleeting moment she thought he was good looking. How was she suppose to continue working in this class when he knew that??

She had never so much in her life wanted to get away from someone so badly. Angry with her cowerdice she still shivered as she glanced up briefly to look at him, but found herself unable to.

"Ah...I see.." was her only wavering reply. It surprised even her to her herself sound so timid. And she forced herself to write in her note pad her name and the fact she was body. Her fingers were trembeling so badly her normaly flowing print looked shakey.

"Hnk--" Like a smothering black glove, Keivlos twisted his fingers about his mouth, killing the curling laughter on his lips. Oh--wicked, wicked man this dark fellow was. Up until now the raven had been able to withhold the spiteful laughter which bubbled with in him like a harmful ooze, the demonstrations had been informative--(shiny! Larger than life!) and seeing that other kid shaken a bit was amusing. But--but--Zyanya,! Watching Zyanya look so uncomfortable, it struck a cord in him that he just couldn't help but take comfort in. A rather sad statement on the raven's part however, before Zyanya had become the object of Thomas' ridicule Keivlos had not bothered to look at her, it really said something.

Stuck with an impish smile that no matter how he tried he could not remove it from his face, Keivlos slid his hand from his mouth back into his coat pockets where it had once rested. Mmn-mmn~ Not such a time kill was it after all? Oh--he'd be happier somewhere else right now. But it couldn't be helped, couldn't be helped, not in the least...not while that despicable golden haired thing that forced him to call her 'mother' was around.

Annoyed at what his thoughts had turned to, the grin melted off Keivlos' face and he went back to feigning mild interest at the thing that was speaking.

Mind magic was demonstrated first, something that caught his eye and looked a bit interesting as he watched the thing getting levitated, he could think of way such a thing could be useful. The needing to know the approximate weight thing though took a bit of the draw of that spell away. The Body thing had him wanting to laugh if for no other reason then the reaction of the one that had gottened picked up desk and all, "Woah..." He murmured to himself, impressed. Finally the Soul magic which he instantly knew was what Ligeia did as he was always practicing with his Icy magics.

He watched as first Cody and then Z got their readings from the teacher, something that seemed to leave both of them rather down trodden. He wondered why? Then again he figured he would learn soon enough being he was next. He turned his gaze and attention to Thomas, waiting at the ready to learn what magic base he was.

Valens' was in full awe of the three spell demonstrations, his dark eyes open wide as he starred at what the teacher was able to so easily accomlish. Able to make things float, pick people up though Val had done that they were much, much smaller people, and then the elemental magics! How neat!

His excitement wavered, tail flicked back and forth at the response he got to his question then said in a studdering voice, "Ahh... I see... s-sorry..." He then turned his attention to his notes, scribbling down a badly drawn stick figure version of each of the other four students and himself. Once they were done he then wrote under the drawings of the bull child and Zyanya 'Body Magic'.

He then looked back up still the snake and the bird left to go before his turn, he should continue to pay attention and write down anything that may be useful.

Thomas stepped away from Zyan slowly, sending a scolding glare over towards the raven boy for his display of immaturity. This was not a game nor a joke... perhaps he'd learn quickly enough when it was his turn. It seemed the next student, the cobra boy, was already prepared- even anxious -to find out his element.

Thomas leaned over the boy's desk, locking eyes with him. He'd been quiet through the entire class... not uncommon but at the same time it would make it a bit harder to have a basic idea of the boy's nature, he'd have to dig deeper. Ter would feel everything move into a tunnel vision, there was just himself and those golden eyes. Everything exposed, no secrets, no private thoughts- nothing. Everything was as if it were sitting right out on his desk for the teacher to see. He'd feel something in the back of his mind, somehow knowing that there was a link established, that every thought would somehow be heard.

"Hmm....", Thomas stood back, "Another child absorbed in himself. No consideration for others, most especially those within your own family. A pity...perhaps even a little ungrateful. Shallow... and witless. Another student of the body element. It seems that's the only strength you've focused on anyhow..."

He turned on a heel and started for the next desk.

Zyan couldn't help but catch sight of Keivlos's obvious glee in her discomfort, her eyes narrowed instinctively. All her focus now drawn to that boy. It shook off the discomfort she had felt when Thomas has gazed into her mind, her entire attention now on the raven boy. She shifted in her seat, her one desire to throttle the kid who thought it was funny that she showed signs of weakness. Her side legs clicked as they moved, her one hand clenched onto the pencil she was holding threatening to snap the thing in two. Not here...she didn't want Thomas's to look into her mind again...and thus she needed to behave.

Trying to calm down she took deep though shallow breaths, her attention now driven over to where Ter sat, as Thomas went throught the same thing as he did with her. So now there was three people of the body. Cody, Ter an herself.

Her drawing skills were terrible, though she doodeled a little head of each student before hand and had written what their core magics were underneath. Where the ravens drawing was, she found her pencil striking through the image, over and over. She hadn't noticed till the pencil wore through the paper and made a slight tearing sound that she stopped. And though this was unproductive she felt some satisfaction in the now ruined image of Keilvos. She would show him...her one moment of weakness ...and he now looked down at her. She rolled a wrist. Oh yes...he would learn to not laugh at her ever again.

Ter gave a bit of a snort, trying to work up some sort of anger at the teacher's words... and came up a bit empty handed. Fine, fine so a lot of it did ring a little true. He wasn't sure though how much he liked the idea of being called 'witless' though. To be said he had no consideration for other too, there were a few he liked it was just humans that he had little consideration for. Not his fault his idiot of a father fell into that catergory. He slumped back in his desk the end of his tail swishing back and forth as he thought over the way the man had labeled him.

He was going to have to demand of Ligeia what he'd been labeled as. Surely it had to be something better then that if the owl boy ended up actually liking this teacher? Hrm...

He supposed if nothing else at least he'd been put into the same catergory of magic as Z had, better to be grouped with someone he knew then with any of the others he didn't quiet know... though the bird next to him did look awfully familiar now that he looked at him. He wondered why that was.

Thomas neared the next desk, his eyes falling on the horse boy as he drew near. Another difficult one. “Valens.” He said simply, placing his hands on the boys desk as he locked his eyes with the boy’s, isolating the boy’s awareness in that tunnel, establishing the ‘thread’ between himself and the boy’s mind. He went silent, digging into the boy’s core, assessing him for every flaw and every strength in him. Though he’d never speak of the later- not out loud anyway.

“Hmm…. Not the brightest bulb in the box are we?” He smirked a bit, standing himself up and clasping his hands behind him, the cane tapping against the back of his good leg. “And I’d be surprised if ‘spiritual’ was even part of your vocabulary. Though the magic of the body is fitting for a draft creature such as yourself.”

He turned on a heel once more, making his way towards the last student…Keivlos.

Valens turned his ears forward as the teacher assessed him, not really the worst thing he'd ever had said to him. His father told him things like that on a daily basis. His long tail swished in a happy manner and smile spread across his face when he found himself given the magic of the body. It meant he was still on the right path following in the steps of other, stronger, more famous horses!

"Alright, thank you!" He said to the teacher and wrote down his evaluation in his notes along with adding in that the snake and himself were both body magic users as well as the first two. He looked over to the winged boy wondering what he was going to end up with type wise.

Thomas stepped his way over towards the last desk, eyeing the child before he reached the head of his desk. This one…was strange. A cocky child…there’d been some concern about him drifting around the corp at the hatching of his hybrid dragon. However, Thom was interested in seeing down to his core, figuring out just why there was some concern. He was a twin, yes, he remembered that from his file though Thom had never encountered his brother.

“Keivlos… your turn.” He leaned over, putting his hands down onto the desk and locked his eyes with the mismatched pair looking back at him. Keivlos would enter the mental tunnel, exposing everything and directing his full focus on Thomas as the teacher reached his mind into the boy’s, searching him down into his core. However, unlike the other students- Thom began to visably pale as he worked. His face quickly grew damp with sweat and his knuckles became nearly as white as the chalk.

“…y…you…”, he panted a bit. “…mind…twisted and….dark.” It seemed his left side kind of wavered a bit, the way pavement would on a hot day. His hand and much of his left leg below his knee simply vanished as the teacher buckled over, spilling onto the floor, limp as a sac of potatoes. The silver drake on his desk shrieked, beating its tiny wings frantically.

Zyan's attention which had been fixed on the raven kid shifted to Thomas who seemed to be having a tough time penetrating the kids mind. Or so she thought, she would probably never realize the true reason to why Thomas collasped but she bolted standing and moved over to him.

True she may of been cowed by the teacher, but she still possesssed a strong sense of duty towards helping others. She cast a glare at the raven boy as she knelt down, her hand hesitating to touch the man. Well he looked like he was breathing...

"Hey," she called over her shoulder to anyone who would listen. "Get some water...looks like he passed out due to shock." she continued wondering if the little drake would attack if she touched its master. She needed to turn him over... her gaze locked for a moment with th Keivlos her eyes narrowing in contempt.

"Some one help me turn him over too." she ordered taking charge it seemed of the situation. Flakey huh? she would show him...

Valens was already up on his feet when Zyanya was suddenly moving towards their fallen teacher, giving out orders to those in the room. He blinked a couple times and found himself doingas he was told, looking around the room a moment before going to kneel down next to their teacher. He wondered what happened, maybe the teacher was sick or something?

He reached out before carefully rolling him over as he was instructed leaving the fetching of water to someone else. Not that he didn't want to get it but he didn't see any within the classroom or a place to get it so he didn't want to get lost looking for some, "Is he ill?" He asked of Zyanya, reaching one hand up to their teacher's forehead as if to check for a fever then realized he really had no idea how to tell what one was.

Ter tilted his head to the side watching the fallen man a moment before turning his gaze over to the raven, "Damn it... you better not have killed him I would rather we get credit for this class." He complained at him. He wondered idly if the raven had some sort of mind powers he used to knock the man out... creepy but a little cool. A moment later though Z was up on her feet demanding help of the others in the class in reviving the fallen teacher.

With all the things the man said about him he didn't exactly feel that much of an overwhelming urge to help him. He gave a yawn then pushed up to his coils, "I suppose this means class is over?" The guy said he was self absorbed and had no consideration for other so... he supposed he would prove him right, "Later."

He headed for the door, Z already had the help of the horse so that should be good enough.

There was no smile, no snappy remarks as Thom approached him and strangely...no worry or fear. Thom stared at him and Keivlos stared back. He blinked his eyes, slowly, one at a time. It was his favorite trick...people shivered when he did that trick. Bullshit aside and all, though, Keivlos was growing ever distant from the current reality of the class. Just him and Thom now...

What Thom evoked in Keivlos, as he proved the bird's mind, was a far cry from feelings of discomfort, sadness or humiliation...no, no, it was a slow quite simmer of anger.Who on earth would want to be in here? See what he saw? Witness the odd things he did? The looks people gave him. Half the time Keivlos didn't even like his own mind, why would someone want to see it?! Well, well, by all means if Thom wanted to see, he could go ahead and look around!

The thud caught his attention.

At first his narrowed eyes grew wide, weather surprised or concerned Keivlos would never say. It didn't take long for the apathetic features of the raven to return, however, and soon enough he was staring placidly at Thom lying on the floor. "..." Keivlos hesitated, reaching his fingers across the desk, hips rising out of his seat to peer at the motionless body, "...Dids it die?"

Cody sat up, leaning over his desk as the teacher buckled and fell into a heap on the floor. "...boy howdy!" He glanced to the other students, hopping away from his desk, "Whoooo fried one fish too many didn't'cha?" He laughed, slapping a knee. Well whatever caused it- the jerk deserved it.

He walked himself over to Thom, poking at his side with a hoof. Definitely out. He cocked an eyebrow, lifting his eye up to Keivlos. "Shoot boy, what you do?"
