Nodding, Paco began to gallop towards the water as well, but still kept a nice distance side-wise towards Ahote; he didn't quite.. want to trust him. He just wanted water, and then be on his own!
Soon enough, the trees were closer, and he started to slow down, so as to not slip on any possibly wet grass, as the area around water tended to be more.. humid.

As they approached the water, Ahote's spirits were lower than they had been in a long time. Why did it seem that Paco was so distrustful of him? He hadn't done anything.
He walked up to the banks of the stream and lowered his head, taking a few sips of the cool, fresh water.

When close to the water, instead of stopping to drink, Paco went right into it, allowing the cool liquid to just roll over his shoulders. It felt nice; after a hard days work, the humans usually cleaned them with buckets of water, so it did feel nice to feel it again. The usdia dumped his head in, shaking out his mane and body to get anyhting stuck under that out, then peeking out of the water again, compleetly wet.
After that, he drank some, contently, and trotted out of the water, splashing a rather lot with heavy steps. He perked his ears at Ahote. He was still there? Paco shook his fur, getting sort-of dry, then snorting. "Thanks fer bringin' me ta th' water. " He said in a rather dull, emotionless voice.
"Ah be on ma way now. " He said, and urned to move alongside the water, but the opposite direction of where Ahote was. He wasn't particularly fond of company, and frankly, an optimist like Ahote wasn't exactly the sort of thing he wanted to be around right now. Y'know, when you're kind of mad at the world, the last thing you want is someone happy with it.
(( Paco is meaan D: *flicks his ears* ))

Ahote watched as the other Usdia cleaned himself off and took a small drink. When he exited the water, Ahote had expected him to maybe talk to him, and maybe they would get to know each other a bit more, but apparently, Paco didn't want anything else from Ahote.
"Uhm...you're welcome."
He said it kind of flatly. He was really quite upset. He had never had anybody treat him like this. Well, except for Shikoba, but nobody he had ever met just walking along. He expected it from Shikoba, but not from a stranger that he had just met.
As he watched Paco trot off away from him, he sighed a bit, and laid down on the grass under a nearby tree next to the stream. This had definently been a strange and somewhat upsetting meeting. Perhaps he would just stay here for a while...
