A slight shiver danced through his hide and he turned, nipping at her tail as she plowed back into the sweet, cool depths. He smiled, following her and shaking his head.
"It is as I feared." He rumbled mournfully. "They Lady will be the death of me... Her and her cruel ways... Oh if there was but a hope I could be saved!"
He chuckled, rearing and plunging, forming a wave that rushed throughout the water and lapped hungrily at the banks beyond them.

Stretching her neck, her lips were soon next to his ear as she gave it a quick n** before whispering. "The death of you? Perhaps. But what fun is it if I kill you off so quickly? It's much more fun to watch you wriggle and squirm." Her eyes lidded as she gave his ear a sharp n** before she made her way towards the shore. Her slick, dark body rising upward as her hooves brought her onto dry land.
Firefly turned her head to look at him, that cool look on her face still present. A flick of her tail sent a spray of water every which way as she dried it out a bit then shook each leg a few times. "The only way you could save yourself is by running away. But you wouldn't do that, would you?" A slender eyebrow raised as she questioned him, the corner of her mouth curling up as she smirked.

Rumbling happily when she nipped at him, he all but fell over himself in an effort to gallop after her, plunging out of the depths of the water. He slowed when he stood in the shadows, considering her for a breath of moments. Then smiled.
"There are far worse fates than you -and death-, My Love..." He rumbled. "And time away from you would be one of those..."
He pranced out of the water, shaking himself and smiling. "A life away from you, would not be tolerable... Especially when we have been trying so hard to have a family... Do you think I could walk away from you and all of that?"
His ears drooped and he looked hurt. "Even for a moment?"

She turned her head as he shook himself off to keep any stray water droplets from hitting her in the face. Her eyes softened for a moment before she walked over, giving him a wet nuzzle on the cheek. "No, I don't think you could. Perhaps any other stallion could, but not you." Firefly's tail gave a thoughtful flick side to side as she nudged her head underneath his chin, leaning her head against his chest for a moment.

He rumbled happily, grinning like an idiot and not really caring... Curving his neck down over her's, he held her to his chest, sighing happily and relishing in their closeness. 'Any other stallion could, but not you.' Her words danced through him with a happy tingling, and he teased.
"I hope my Lady is not giving much thought to the actions of any other stallions." He rumbled, half mocking amusement, half not-so-feigned jelousy.
He loved her with every fiber of his being, and if the day came that another stallion challenged him for her love, Sibalto would fight with all he was. He was fairly sure no such fight would ever come, for Firefly seemed to love him as much as he loved her... But... He remembered his homeland, and somethings... Like the nature of stallions... Was the same wherever one went...

She smiled lightly and gave him a small n** to the chest. "No. And I hope you haven't been giving much thought to the actions of any other mares, either." Her tail gave a slight twitch as did her ears. "Because if you did...I'd hunt you down." The mares voice had a ting of darkness to it. She wouldn't call herself smothering, but she did have that tendency to have a jealous streak. Seeing her mate with another mare made her grit her teeth. It was something she needed to overcome because she couldn't keep him from talking with other mares from time to time. Firefly just didn't have that omnipresence.

Sibalto arched a brow at her, unable to squash the smile that slipped across his lips, even as he nibbled at her ear with its fetching feathers. He flicked his own ears, considering the consequences if Firefly ever stumbled across him speaking with another mare. Sure enough he was ever loyal to her.. But some of the ladies...
Well... They were not so discouraged.
"If ever any Lady could turn my eye from your beauty, my lady.. I have met her... I do not believe I ever shall.." He flicked his ears. "However, should such a mare ever arrive... I give you permission -with all my heart- to hunt me down and end everything.. For you are my life... And I should not wish to live, if ever I turned away from you..."

"I'll hold you to that. You know that right?" She teased him lightly but was still half serious. Firefly was his, and he was hers. No one else would come between them. In her mind, she started to realize that that thought seemed very possessive of her. But it was how she felt. Though she would not tell it to him except in subtle hints. The mare did not want to drive him away. Though she wasn't sure if she could.
She expected that he would talk to other mares. Though she herself rarely talked to many Soquili. Be it male or female. Sibalto was her life now and once that day came, their children would also be apart of that life. Though she wasn't sure how she would explain to them what happened to their father is such an occurance did happen. She chuckled lightly to herself for a moment before giving his shoulder a slightly harsh n**. "Just behave yourself and we won't have any problems."

He rumbled happily, nipping at her playfully. "I can only hope you will do so, My Lady... You are the last hope I have to save myself, and if I should ever turn away from such a radiant future as one spent by your side..."
He tsked and shook his head, pacing a circle around her and tucking himself tight to her side, ducking his head under her's and wrapping about her as much as he could.
The fierce protective, possessive waves flowing off of her danced through him like lightning. She would never let him go... Good.. He had no intention of leaving...

She arched her head over his, nibbling on his ear idly before giving a small laugh. "At least now you know what to expect from such actions then." Her tail moved back and forth happily as she wiggled her ears. Now that that was on the table, she figured there would be no problems. Hopefully. "Save yourself from what, might I ask?" Curiously she raised an eyebrow as she nosed his mane lightly. Smoothing down stray hairs in quiet contemplation.

He chuckled and flicked his ears as she tickled at them, rumbling in content. "From myself, who else my dear? Well.. Perhaps the sorceress that would enchant me... For I would not leave out of hoof, you understand... T'would be a powerful enchantment indeed..."
Wrapped about her as he was, he could easily nuzzle her belly. Still sleek and slim, it attested to their lack of luck with the spirits... But he held hope.... Hope that somedady it would swell with the foals they had made together... A visible testamate to their love.

"Sorceress? What sorceress?" Tilting her head she looked down at him for a moment before nosing a few more stray hairs into place. As he nuzzled her belly, the skin along it quivered briefly. The mare wasn't all that used to her stomach being touched. By anyone really. And it made her curious as to why he would do such a thing. It wasn't the most romantic or flirtatious of spots to touch.

"The Lady who would steal my attention from you -if she does exist- would have to be a sorceress... I am completely devoted to you.. And if anything were to disrupt that, it woul be a powerful spell indeed...." He nuzzled her belly again, then stepped back, nuzzling her cheek. "Not that I believe anything could come between us... I very much wish to spend my days making a family with you, Lady Firefly..."

"Oh." So this mare didn't exist. Yes. Though Firefly would make sure she never came into being. And if she did, well, that mare would be driven into the ground so hard and fast.....
Her belly shivered again at the touch of his muzzle. Giving her long tail a few, drawn out flicks back and forth, she touched her nose to his with a small smile. "And I the same with you, Sibalto."

He chuckled softly, nibling at her adorned ear, whuffling at the feathers. She had actually thought such a mare lived? He shook his head slightly. Never. Firefly was his heart and soul and life... And the only one he had ever loved... Hadn't he ever told her? Well...
He flicked his ears, then decided to say it, just incase she had never heard it from him before.
"You are the only one I have ever loved." He said honestly, looking into her eyes.
