"I wouldn't be surprised if two people at this school were friends only because of their parents." Friends, or even more than that. At least his parents hadn't stuck him with that sort of fate. It would be horrible. "Sorry that I hadn't heard of your family before." He'd only really met a few of his parents' acquaintances, and that was back when he was a little kid. He still remembered the faces of the high-ranking families and their children, but other than the few he'd already met, rich families were a mystery to him.
