About an hour had passed between them, as the two had made their way about the store. Kyrin had found herself slightly insulted by the fact that he had actually seemed not to be interested in her. The fact that he was flirting with her, and then was able to fall so quickly back into business had said to Kyrin that he had been trying to play her. By the time they started to talk about the earlier events of the morning, Kyrin had over two hundred dollars worth of clothes in her arms. The clock on a nearby wall read 10:45.
Kyrin turned her attention away from a rather cute pair of shoes to say, ”Xavier was on Jaydn this morning, and Jaydn was having none of it.” It was said in an off hand manner, as Kyrin was used to the pranks. Perhaps more used to them then the Coyotes were, as she had grown up with the boys. At the mention of being a burden, Kyrin was about to agree, but out of respect for the work that her cousin did, she said nothing. Of course, she would never tell Jaydn that she respected him, but she could think it all she wanted. Changing the subject, Kyrin said, rather bluntly, ”Jaydn never speaks of you. Are you of great importance to his operation?” The operation that she spoke of was the running of the Coyotes.

Miles was oblivious to Kyrin's offense and figured that she had switched moods. He nodded his head to the mention of Xavier. It made sense after all, having to put up with him first hand. Miles didn't know what such a young guy was doing hanging around this sort of bussiness anyway, but he supposed that at least Xavier could learn a thing or two for when he becomes older.
He also wasn't surprised to hear that Jaydn didn't speak of him. Miles had nothing against Jaydn; In fact, he was the closest thing to a friend that Miles could have. But Jaydn was very easy going with his work, so it was natural that Miles wasn't around too often before they all moved in. " I'm a meager higher-up. More 'behind-the-scenes' in a sense." He put the loose strands of his hair behind his ear. " I'm more of a leader, so it's good to know that Jaydn has a place for me. " Like most men, Miles had power-lust, but unlike most men, he knew how to weild it to his advantage.
"Must be fun, running your own...operation" he said honestly, reusing her word for the sake of public eavesdroppers.

Kyrin looked over at Miles with a grin on her face, ”Yeah.” But in her mind, she wasn’t so confident. I’ve never done anything worthwhile, its like I don’t have anything to do with helping daddy.
Their conversation continued on for a little while. At about noon, Kyrin looked at the clothes that she had in her hands, and now that she had a good pile of them, brought them to the register. The woman there smiled at Miles, as she rung Kyrin up, but Kyrin paid the other woman no mind. She simply placed her clothes on the counter and continued her conversation. ”So you guys do a lot in a day then? Or do you often find time to go shopping?” Kyrin herself could often find time to go shopping, which was another stab at her heart. She was beginning to think that her father was just messing with her in telling her that she could have her own mafia. He doesn’t trust me. Her sadness, though not readily apparent to her, was showing on her face.
As the girl told Ky her total, Kyrin pulled out a credit card and paid the amount due. She then took the bags from the woman, and turned to Miles, ”So, where to lunch then?”

Miles took the bags from Kyrin's hands, complacent in holding women's things for them. "Why don't we go to Landini's??" He asked casually, but somewhat rhetorically. He followed his "statement" to answer her other question, "Jaydn keeps me plenty busy. We have a lot of operations and money to handle..." But it didn't seem that Ky did... It was actually quite unusual for Miles to realize it just now. Kyrin was still leaning on her father for finacial aid. As he opened the taxi door for her, he commented" So,...are you planning on making your own sort of ...side business for your mafia?" He looked at her over the top of his glasses. He had heard about the previous operation that Han had set for her and how it had been abrupty cancelled. She had probably been really upset when it had happened, so he didn't want to bring it too out into the open. However, it was important that she actually got her mafia on the move. As a Matsui, it may make her father look bad (which wasn't nessicarily too bad for Jaydn, her rival) but what happened to one Matsui ultimatly affected them all.

Kyrin hadn’t heard of Landini’s as she tried not to make herself too seen in the upper part of town, but since Miles seemed to be set on it, she didn’t even think to say anything differently. She didn’t really care what it was they ate, it was just that she had began to get a little hungry, and her stomach was telling her so. Once in the taxi, Kyrin replied to him. ”I see.” She figured that Jaydn would keep his mafia busy whenever he could because that was just the way he was and it seemed. She sighed, as she settled herself in and clicked the seatbelt in place. She didn’t like how they were suddenly talking business, when she had started to come to the realization that her mafia was just a plaything, and nothing might ever come from it. This above all else hurt her. Mother would be so disappointed.
Not wanting to seem like there was something bothering her, though, she turned to him, with the most confidence that she could muster and said, ”Yeah, we have something in the works, but I am sure that it isn’t going to be near as elaborate as what my cousin has going on a the moment. He has a couple years on me yet.” As hard as it was for her to admit to someone that Jaydn had something above her, she wasn’t about to just say that she had nothing at all, so this was going to have to do.

"That's good to hear. I'm sure you'll be quite something when you're older." Miles didn't know for sure if she was being completely honest, but it didn't matter. At least if she had her mind on something for her mafia, then he could bet it would take some strain off of Han. Miles just wasn't sure,(due to the fact that he had been gone from the mansian and hadn't seen her subordinates) that her men were up for the job.

”I’m sure you’ll be quite something when you’re older.” The line played over and over in her head, as the taxi wove through the streets of the upper city, to parts that Kyrin had never seen before. Her attention was out the window, as she watched the scene flash by. She was offended by his statement, but somehow she didn’t know what to say to it. She knew that it was partially correct, because she would likely be something later on, but she was determined for it to be soon, not ‘when she was older’. Kyrin reached her left hand up and played with her hair, trying to think of something to say that wouldn’t sound rude. At this point she didn’t know why she was hanging out with him anymore, all he was doing now was making her feel bad about herself.
Turning back to Miles, Kyrin dropped her hand back to her lap with the other. She sighed, and tried again to think of something to say, but she could only hear his seemingly doubting words in her head. Just as she thought she couldn’t take the silence anymore, she saw the restaurant.
