The games are detailed but basic. And all of the games are similar, but at the same time unique.

ok people ill tell you why we are all addicted to final fantasy. ok the japanese government puts an invisible layer of highley addictive chemicals on cds that will be shiped to america. the chemical doesnt have a sent and will force people to buy the ff's until japan has all the money and america is even more pour and is in shambles!!!!!!!1!!!!!!!! final fantasy rulez!!!!!!!

I'm addicted... simply because I adore the storyline and details of the games... Graphics don't matter to me at all, though if they look good it's just an added bonus...
*coughs* oh and Sephiroth, he's a reason too I suppose.

i've been a fan of the series for 13 years, and i've known why for a few years, now...
my addiction spawns from the fact that i'm an only child, and i needed something to entertain myself when i was younger... that's when i discovered Final Fantasy VI (the SNES FFIII version) and began playing it... even at the age i was, (i was only 5) i could understand the story really well, and the battles were cool to me... now, however, they're my escape from reality. whenever i have some sort of problem i want to get out of my head, i just go to my room, pop in an FF, and go to another world... that's my addiction in a nutshell...

The storyline and characters had it for me, i fell in love with the series within 10 minutes of playing final fantasy seven. I found the music also was one of a kind and at the time the only game which came close to this series was legend of the dragoon and alundra. Even now i have yet to find something which comes similar to the gaming series.
I brought final fantasy seven the day it was released and have been hooked completely ever since then so over a decade i have been a fan of this series.

im pretty much a fan of FF for the same reason as evrybody else..
the storyline, characters, weapons, moves (such as omnislash), graphics... all adding up to one word...

Yeah the limit breaks, overdrives etc are amazing and also the way they keep developing the summons, aeons or any of the other names you call them. They keep the games alive because you cannot wait to have the next one released to see what skills you learn this time and what the world will be like.

the gameplay and storylines are what do it for me... sometimes, i get so lost in the game, that i think i'm actually in it...

It's the plot and the characters for me. I just adore the storylines that keep me hooked for hours, not to mention the developments between the different characters involved, which are deep and complex.

There are no games on the market that have games that can display epic boss battles, brilliant story lines, and we can't forget the amazing movie sequences... just amazing.. kudos to you square-soft.. kudos to you

Maybe because of of the love story. hmm, i also like the fighting scene and saving money and spending it for their own good. Training them is fun.I really love final fantasy! heart redface
