Red and Gold were my favorite versions. I would love a remake of Gold version. That was, in my opinion, the best of the series. They had the Day night, the ability to go into another region and catch new Pokemon. It had everything. Great game.

Diamond and Pearl have brought alot of that back, but I just wish you could still go to Johto, Kanto and Hoeonn...<.< I spelt that wrong I know.

I'm pretty much hoping that they do make a remake of Gold and Silver.
I know that many of people had said it, but I got to lazy to read all of it. I'm also hoping for them to make a third installment for Firered and Leafgreen. I would hope that one would be Yellow. Might be difficult, or stupid, but I would love it.

I wanna see an airport...
i mean really, airports would be soo much better than a train, or a boat, or even a rocket (omfg, moon missions. lolz, we soz gotsta go upz in der rocketz, zoom zoOm!), because then we could fly to all the otehr major cities in the other versions and have a really kickazz game. the only thing really lacking is a huge waist land, what country doesn't have a dump?

At bolded: Go play Colosseum and Ha Gale of Darkness.

Also, why would Trainers ever use air planes? I can understand the everyday people using them, but Trainers have strong, winged-Pokémon at their disposal, or Psychic-Types who know Teleport. Why spend 10,000+ PokéYen on a plane ticket when they could just hop on their Pidgeot/Charizard/Dragonite/ect and fly over? Or hop on their Lapras/Wailord/Gyarados/ect and Surf over?

yeah... not uber rich.. so i don't have a PS, or anything past a hand held.

as for the plain ticket, why would we use a boat other than the simple fact that it is not on the same map, (irritates me that you can't fly from joto to kento, nor betwixt the sevie islands 1-4 / 5 to 7-8?) or the fact that you haven't been there! duh. (lolz, had to say it, i am stressing about my macro econ project.)

...

For one, Colo and Ha are on the Gamecube. For two, EB Games sells used 'Cubes for $30. Don't have to be rich to play them.

As for boats, probably because they're significantly more cheap than a plane? And way more relaxing? We didn't need a boat when going from Olivine to Cianwood in GSC, though, and according to in-game text, that was an ocean.

More like, as long as there's money to be made, there shall be Pokémon.

Of course, Pokémon is so deeply ingrained with daily Japanese life, even if there was no more money to be gained from it, I still couldn't see it ending.

@ Tippy - I know this was posted a while back, but...what is 'EB Games'? If I can get cheap Cube games, or accessories for a Wii (I'm planning to get one soon), it'd be wonderful.

Or do you need an actual Cube system to transfer Pokémon?

If I remember correctly, Pokemon is even more popular than Monster Rancher Hunter in JPN, and that's propping up the PSP in Japan, it seems.

So long as Satoshi keeps letting them do it (I think he still owns the rights for them; he's well seated in Nintendo so there was no point in buying the rights from him), there'll be Pokemon games.

@Shippo EB Games is another trading name for GameStop. It used to be it's own company, before GameStop bought it up. If they haven't changed the frontend of the store to reflect the change, they are only EB Games in name.

@ Kae - Ah, I see. So, just a general GameStop then?

I've noticed GameStop online has more deals than at some of my local stores...and do you (or anyone) know if you need a GameCube for linking up with a GBA (to transfer Pokémon), or would a Wii still do it?

Yeah, a few years ago, EB Games used to be Electronics Boutique. Then GameStop bought them and the name got changed to 'EB Games', and like Bo said, they're just a carbon copy of GameStop.

As for link up, Wiis only connect to DSes. If you want to connect to a GBA/SP, you'll need a GameCube and a Link Cable. :C

LIES.

A Wii is a Gamecube, for all intents and purposes. You just need a cable, the game, and your GBA/SP. I've done it.

I'm a real doctor!

EDIT: I lie as well. You need a controller an Memory Card too.
