You know, the more I think about it, the more I like the thought of Donna as a companion. I wasn't too hot on it at first. I mean as a once off she was fine, but every ep? She's grown on me though. That last conversation she had with the Doctor telling him he's a bit scary and needs someone to stop him sometimes was wonderful.
And I do love that she's completely different physically from Rose and Martha. She doesn't look like she stepped off the pages of a fashion mag. xd I like her average-ness. blaugh This should be interesting.

I don't know what to think yet. On the one hand, she probably WON'T be all "woe is me - he doesn't love me gonk crying " every single blooming episode (*coff* martha... *coff*) Also, she has a lot more back-bone. I can just imagine her going around and being like "so, this place yeah? S'got aliens on?? Like, real proper aliens from outer space??" while the aliens are just like WTF! ^^
On the one hand, martha was advertised as being a lot cooler than she was. But we've seen Donna before briefly, so perhaps she'll stay as we know her..? Hope so!

Donna didn't impress me all that much really. She was a fun one shot...
I agree, everyone falling for the Doctor is getting old... but... well... he's hawt. lol. A male or non-human companion would have been nice.
Maybe we can have more than one companion? They used to do that quite a bit. That might not be so bad...

Miss Ayame Kimura He's a brilliant writer... sometimes. He's just not a very consistent one. Steven Moffat needs to take over. He's a brilliant writer occasionally. Donna annoyed me. A lot. It was OK though, because she's only in that christmas special. She's only in that christmas special... she's only in that christmas special... gonk

At least Russel isn't trying to find some way to bring back Rose. That would be just awful. There's no way he could get away with something like that. mad

I'm actually happy with this. Catherine Tate is a really funny person, and her recent dramatic work has been superb.
And the thing with Martha coming back for half the episodes, take with a grain of salt. That's what they'd said about Cpt. Jack, and then it became clearer that he was only going to be in the last three episodes. sad I liked Jack more as a companion, but hopefully the second season of Torchwood will be much better then the first.

Im really not to happy about this.I just feel a tad messed around and catherine tate isfunny and everything but.....i just dontsee this working out very well. I cant take her seriously and i had only just gotten used to martha xp

StrikerShane Yeah well atleast Martha Jones returns to the TARDIS Crew halfway through the Series,also she is to appear in 3 Episodes of Torchwood too. Yay! Now torchwood may finally have more than 5 good episodes. HightopNinja I'm actually happy with this. Catherine Tate is a really funny person, and her recent dramatic work has been superb. I agree with you. Donna is more like one of the classic series companions, shes the un willing companion.

HightopNinja Catherine Tate is a really funny person LOL! ..oh, you're serious. Well, she's funny sometimes, but I find most of her jokes plain annoying. The neds enjoy them, but they would, since they like obnoxious/repetetive jokes.
