Ehrek sighed and turned back with the widest grin anyone could ever see, perked and assumed happy. "No, no, please come. Spend the night, I can come see you off in the morning if you like," he forced his tail to wag to ease Deimos even if a little.

Truth be told, he was not ready to see him off... not yet. Seeing as this stranger did not know where the den was, Ehrek started off in the direction, tail flicking slightly. "Come on, it's getting dark out."

Ehrek slipped down inside of a nearby tree. The tree's roots caged the side and packed the ground as the walls, the ground itself was packed dirt and luckily not frozen. It was a decent size, not too large, but it would be a squeeze to fit both Deimos and himself inside. Looking down at the den itself he thought, I hope... he doesn't mind the small thing. Looking back at Deimos, he smiled. "Sorry about this, didn't expect to have any after night company."

Sure the den was small, but he wouldn't mind the closeness. Knowing him, he'd most likely end up chest to back with Ehrek by morning. He tended to shift closer to whoever was sleeping next to him during the night.

He darted down into the den and nipped Ehrek's ear playfully before settling down as close to the wall as he could to give the other male as much space as he wanted. Even if Deimos was a cuddler, it didn't mean everyone else was.

"It's perfect. As long as it's warm and snowless, nothing can compare."

Ehrek chuckled as he mossied on inside, curling up with his back to the entrance. He wagged his tail and grinned, "Not used to having company around," he nipped him back from before but only managed to snag his chin. "Besides, I will keep the snow out then. I cannot have my first guest cold from the snow, especially when he is foreign to this region."

He just smiled more, for once he was being a host. Deimos was actually quite the male; kind, strong, big (that is for sure), and he seemed rather handsome too. He smirked to himself as he thought about how things would be if they were together. It would be interesting but it would be nothing more but a dream. Dreams... the place where the impossible happened.

"So where do you plan to go when the sun rises?"

The sudden closeness made Deimos feel completely at ease. Some wolves liked distant; he hated it. The big male thrived on touch, whether innocent or not. Perhaps it was because his puppyhood had been completely devoid of such things that made him so clingy as an adult. But Kek didn't care, and neither did Alexander. He wasn't quite sure about the others yet, and wondered how they would react if they ever found out about his attraction to males.

Things could get interesting.

Ehrek's n** on his chin and his following question snapped Deimos from his thoughts. "What? Oh . . . I don't know yet. But . . . " He paused, smiling softly, yet blushing fiercely. He didn't know why, but he felt so comfortable around Ehrek. So . . . at peace. And his body suddenly burned with a different kind of warmth. It should have been ridiculous, really. They'd only just met.

But the Fates liked to shake things up a bit whenever they were bored.

"You found what you were looking for, huh? I guess that would mean you would be leaving sooner than I originally thought. At least you got done what you needed to..."

Ehrek's smirk turned into a rather innocent and cute expression of the maw as it warmed slightly. He leaned over and smiled, sniffing him. Scent still strong, perhaps containing it in an enclosed area was not the best thing he could have done. Moving himself over-closer to Deimos, he could feel his fur brush against his. That just made him wag more. His golden eyes met his for the many times that day when he noticed that the white beyond that clouded mask he wore was turning a strange reddish color. Concerned, he nudged his maw.

"Deimos, is there something wrong? I mean, you're turning almost more red than your fur!"

His ears went back, and an innocent smile curled his jaws. It made him look as young as he actually was. Leaning forward, his tongue darted out in a quick caress along Ehrek's cheek, then he curled into a ball, covering his nose with his bushy tail.

"It's nothing. I'm just tired and happy." Shimmying closer to the other male, Deimos pressed against him, hoping that Ehrek wouldn't mind. He could have used the excuse that he was cold, but he simply wanted to be closer.

Thinking of leaving when the sun rose made his chest hurt. Maybe he didn't have to leave yet. Maybe tomorrow, him and Ehrek could trade stories. Find out more about each other.

Hopes and dreams.

"Goodnight, Ehrek . . . "

Ehrek smiled softly and rested his head down upon his paws, enjoying the feeling of another presence beside him. It was a welcoming feeling to say the least. His charcoal body fluffed a bit with a strong, long inhale and flopped down against the other male during the exhale. Tomorrow was going to be a strange day, unpredictable too. The day where Deimos may leave and Ehrek may never see him again or it would be a day for some comfort in one another's company. He needed that... company, has been a while since he had any.

"Good night, Deimos..."

~~::::::::~~

Morning dawned cold and bright outside, but down in the small den, the world was dark and warm, broken only by soft, huffing breaths. But like most mornings, Deimos' inner clock rang about an hour after dawn, making his eyes blink open, a yawn threatening. He took stock of his position, and was thankful that he wasn't back to front with Ehrek, like he usually was with either Kek or Alex at home. He was pretty sure if would have tweaked the charcoal and blue male just a bit.

Instead, his body was curled into a ball against Ehrek, his head resting on the male's slowly rising and falling side. Comfortable, but not quite as big of a shock.

Finally letting the yawn stretch his maw, he stretched a little, but wasn't ready to move yet. Besides, he didn't want to wake the warm body next to him. Ehrek looked so peaceful in sleep, eye lids lightly closed, nose twitching every now and again. So peaceful, and so cute.

Blinking, he realized what he had just said and tried to bite back a laugh. Somehow, he didn't think Ehrek would appreciate being called merely "cute."

Ehrek's chest heaved and fell with every breath of air that his lungs could take in. However, when it fell, it felt strange as if something was weighing it down and thus making it harder to breath. Even when inhaling, it was hard. Something was preventing him to breath and it was starting to irk him a little. He stirred a bit and then moved over. Something was big, soft, but hard was against his side, he could feel it there. His tail flicked and it confirmed his thoughts when it hit another object with a thud. What was it?

Deimos.

Deimos had stayed the night with him, he was still beside him. It seems he had not left once the sun had risen, that was good. With a inward smile, he pretended to be asleep. Ehrek breathed normally, laying still as if he were asleep. Also, cannot forget those amusing, occasional snores. He knew Deimos was there-awake was another story in itself. But he could feel his presence, his body, he could smell his earthy scent, his musk. His presence alone made him feel a feeling he had not felt in almost a year.

At home.

Feeling a bit puppish, he decided to toy with Deimos a bit. He opened his maw to a loud yawn and suddenly struck out his forepaws into a stretch and felt something hit, though it was soft. Love tap? He moved onto his belly and smiled, scratching his chest. Yeah, that was good enough for a morning antic.

Shaking his head in surprise, Deimos pounced on his friend with a soft, indignant woof. "Morning to you too," he murmured, smiling softly. Than he stretched a bit more, flopping onto his back as much as he could in the small confines, wriggling from side to side as he tried to get rid of an itch between his shoulder blades.

In between growls of content as he managed to get the right spot, he asked, "How'd you sleep?" Than he suddenly sneezed so violently it made him blink.

Ehrek's eyes remained close as he smiled after a quick 'umf' from Deimos' pounce. He yawned again and scratched his chest idly before turning over to him, lazily opening his eyes. "Morning, Deimos..." With another yawn, he looked back up at the butt of the tree. "I slept rather well, especially with you here to warm up the den. Helps some."

He yawned and wagged a little, "So when do you suppose when you'll be leaving off to head back home?"

The big male was silent for a while, as if he had fallen back asleep. He had done some thinking last night, before sleep had taken him, and he had come to a conclusion. Staring up where Ehrek was staring, Deimos replied with, "Not until I can convince you to come with me . . . "

Silence. No sound. No noise but the rapid beating in his chest. He felt like he was just tackled hard and left unconscious, but this was not the case, no, he was struck emotionally. Some say that pain hurts, but emotional ones... it is the most sensitive. However, this pain was not painful as in harmful, it was more of surprise and shock. He could not speak as if Deimos had stuffed a rabbit leg down his throat or something. He could only stare at the blazing male laying before him.

Did he... what did he just say? gulp. "Convice." "You." "Come." "Me." where the only words he heard as his mind was caught elsewhere, it was when reality hit him like a swung back branch to the lock or muzzle. His chest heaved and fell rapidly as he hyperventilated to calm himself. Did not work. He glanced at Deimos and then to the den's three "walls" and out to the entrance and back to Deimos and started all over again. Ehrek could not believe what he heard, it was almost surreal. He had only met Deimos not too long ago, the hours of sleep did not entirely count as they did not talk then. Who ever said "Love at First Sight" knew a thing or two, but he never thought it was true. At least, never would have happen to him. He looked at Deimos with desperate eyes for answers. His mind told him 'no' as if this was a game to the other wolf to bring out the real Ehrek. His heart strongly pulled him toward agreeing, Deimos' voice seemed to cut off almost as if unsure if he was asking a question or unsure of wanting to hear the answer. He could not tell anymore. Yes or no? To be or not to be with Deimos? Come? Go where? What will others think? What will happen to his pack? How will Ehrek live from now on, if he left with Deimos his life would convert to a pack's life, right?

Questions... his head were filled with questions and not a single, concrete answer.

"D....Dei?...."

Deimos grinned at the use of his favorite pet name, but he was worried by Ehrek's reaction. Was his decision a bad one after all? Had he assumed to much . . . ?

"Ehrek . . . I . . . " He crawled forward on his belly, afraid to move too much. The charcoal male looked about to head for the hills. "I'm sorry. I just . . . Something . . . called me to you. I know it. And now that I've found you, my chest aches at the thought of leaving you. I know we've only just met, but . . . "
Sighing, he looked away. Prone to mistakes, he added this one to his list, feeling his heart ache.

"I'll... come..." he murmured, an almost inaudible whisper. Ehrek moved closer as well as he cautiously licked his cheek a bit. It felt right, at least upon his part. "I can only guess what you feeling right now and I suppose you do the same about me. Whatever called you to me, you found me, and if you are pained at my absence, I suppose I cannot have that happen now can I?" he smiled a bit through his confusion as his decision came out upon their own.

"Dei, I will come with you, but are you sure about this? What about your pack? What will I do now? There are a lot of questions to be asked and I believe you are the only one who can answer them..."
