Borus froze. He looked over nervously at Chris, entirely aware of how close she was now. Just what was she playing at?
At the mention of his family, his expression darkened and turned as icy as the snow falling in the distance. He turned away so his captain could not see the contempt in his eyes.
"I have no family." He said shortly, "Not anymore."
'I am not one of them.' He thought sadly to himself. 'He told me that long ago.'
Borus hsivered. Then why, if it was water over the dam, did it hurt so much?

Chris' expressio immediately softened as she slowly brought her hand to Borus', holding it as if she was trying to comfort him. "I'm sorry, I didn't know..." Chris stopped herself from asking anything further.
"Well, you could always consider myself and the other knights as your family. I could always through a little get-together at home, and we could all spend Christmas Eve together. How does that sound?"

Salome slowly walks up the the three "Good evening mi'lady have you gotten your duties finsihed?" he askes as he then turns to the others "And did you two also do your duties also."

"What duties, Salome? We've had no fighting since winter started! It's just too cold for anyone, much less the people of Tinto and the Grasslanders. It's more like we're on semi-permanent hiatus until spring." Chris commented, bringing her bare hands to her mouth to blow into them, trying to warm them back up.
After a few moments, she turned in her seat so she could see the others around them. "Don't tell me you're still working this time of year, Salome. I figured you'd be the first to start relaxing, even before me. Is something bothering you?" Chris said as she got to her feet and felt Salome's forehead for any extra heat.

Hey, I'm still sleepy anyway I think if Salome stoped working he'd have a migrain from all the people chatting around him, (secrettivly: He doesn't get out as often as he used to stare ) We could head up to Iksay surprised I haven't been there for a while...

I'm not a good singer, and we don't have an even ratio of men to women in our group." Chris said, leaving out how she was the most off-key singer in the choir when she was a child.

Hmmm
Well we could try to find ppl who wish to sing. I'm sure they'd gladly sing with the knights of Zexen
All of us except for Leo. He would probably be better of not singing...

Borus looked up in surprise when he felt Chris take his hand. He smiled nervously, but did not take his hand away.
"M-M'lady, if you would have me, it would be a honor to spend Christmas Eve with you..." He smiled, looking over at her until he was interrupted by Percival.
Smiling, he shook his head at the other knight. "Nay, Percival, I've had quite enough to drink already tonight."
He stood as Salome addressed him, saluting his superior officer. "Indeed, sir, my patrol duty is finished for the night. I was just heading home, when I ran into Lady Chris..."
He trailed off, glancing back at his captain for a moment, before quickly turning to Percival. He paled a little at the idea of the six of them singing Christmas carols.
"Er...do you think the public would react positively to the Mighty Six showing up at their doorstep singing 'Deck the Halls'?"
He smirked wryly at the very idea.
(Whew! Had a lot to catch up on there. ^^)

"Yeah, it's a nice thought, Salome, but I'm afraid singing carols for half the town might be more embarassing than anything else." Chris slowly stated before swallowing. She'd never quite gotten over how badly she did in the choir when she was a child, and she had no hurry in finding out if she'd improved or not.

Salome smile to the group "Well it was worth a shot, anyways have any of you seen Leo around. He got a presnet from someone and they ask me to deliver it to him for them." he says as he show them the warped gift.

"A present?" Borus raised his eyebrows. "Who would be sending Leo a present? As far as I know he doesn't have any family in Vinay del Zexay..."
He smirked. "Perhaps he has an...admirer."
