"Do not thank me for this is unclaimmed territory. I cannot tell you what you can't and can do. After all, you are a free wolf out here by yourself. If it is the principles of manners, than I accept the sign of graditude," he spoke softly, a soft cough escaped his maw as a cloud of vapor curled before his maw. His paws soaked to the ankle with slush, water, and snow. The cold was the only thing that the tree could not protect them as it whipped around him, ruffling his fur with its figid touch. Ehrek caught his wink and could not help but smile even if a little.

"The North is not for the faint of heart, body, and soul. It could freeze you in your sleep if you are not careful. The temperature can even put you to sleep where it will freeze you still. I have seen things that should not be witnessed. Being careful is what will save your tail here, otherwise you will end up losing it to frostbites," he stopped there. He had his reasons for being here, not for wanting to but because he could not go anywhere else. He had not a lot of time left if he stayed out here. The cough from before is a sure sign he has caught something and he had best get back to his burrow before long.

Ehrek turned to the other wolf, stood and moved over a little.

A nudge.

"It is not my choice to settle here, Kek... I would very much return to the south, but.. I cannot swim across the river to get there."

He sighed and nudged again before leaving the shelter of the tree. His tail whipped around as heavy drops of water hit against it as he skipped from tree shelter to tree shelter. He stopped when Kek's fur was only a smudge in his view before letting out a howl.

He disappeared into the white rain.
