As he had thought, Abel had been less than a days journey away from the entrance to Tarna. The site of a grove that housed the portal quickened his pace. Surely once he arrived he'd be able to learn to complete his abilities and know his place in the times ahead. The frustrations of the night before faded as he allowed himself to hope in the promise of Anorad. The nearer he got to the grove, the further away his reservations about all of this became. He didn't give it much thought but the sudden shift in emotion puzzled him.

At last, there it was. A circle of green light upon the ground, as though drawn from an otherworldly hand. For a moment, he stood entranced by the warm light. The smell of smoke reached his nose and he looked at his feet. A few leaves had caught fire and shriveled up. And the warmth he thought that was coming from the light, was only his own body's reaction to the portal. His mood suddenly shifted and he became uncomfortable as he realized once again, it had been triggered subconsciously. Gathering his resolve and preparing himself for what might lay ahead, he stepped into the circle. A strange feeling of simultaneously being flipped upside down and flung to the side entangled him and he shut his eyes, wishing it would stop. Seconds later he felt equilibrium return to him and the sounds of grove had vanished. Opening his eyes, he looked upon Tarna for the first time.

Saya smiled and nodded, releasing her gentle hold on the girl's arm that she thought had been giving her support. "My name is Seorsa, but most just call me Saya. And...you'll get used to them." She smiled and nodded, but turned her head swifly as a crackling sound came from the portal.

She turned the rest of her body and the joy in her eyes brightened. More and more people were arriving...the journey would begin soon. First came a young man with dark hair and purple eyes. Mori. She smiled at him broadly. Finally more of the six were coming! She knew none of them, but she felt a connection to them....a kinship. They were all like in one way, at least. They were all meant to do something extraordiary.

She knew the others most likely didn't feel that way...but how could she not? Being Kayen, she naturally felt a connection to all other creatures. But this was different. It felt as if Destiny was all coming together with each new person who came through that portal. She knew Mara had something to do with it....but it was still more yet.

Sari was seated comfortably on Rani's back, rocking back and forth with the gentle sway of her older brother's body. The scenery had stopped being so familiar to her several weeks ago as she gradually left the plains of Me'a, her homeland. Rani hadn't wanted to. His reluctance had been in his every step for several days, until he'd simply resigned himself to the fact of the matter - they were going Outside. Even now, he plodded along rather grudgingly. Sari leaned down, wrapping her arms around his thick neck. "I'm sorry," she told him earnestly, speaking to him as though speaking to a human. Rani's delicately pointed ears flicked backwards towards Sari, then forward again as he snorted. Sari smiled; she knew he didn't begrudge her this journey, because Rani knew it wasn't really her choice. There was a reason she called him "big brother".

They had been travelling for another hour or two when Rani suddenly lifted his head and stopped, listening. Sari, following his lead, likewise stilled herself. She was letting him listen as he would, because he always knew when something dangerous was about. Though I hope there's nothing dangerous now... Sari thought, looking about herself. She saw nothing. Rani, however, seemed to know something was about. He broke into a quick trot that Sari easily adapted to, then into a gentle canter. Sari preffered the canter, herself. It was easier to sit to.

They leapt over a fallen tree trunk, giving Sari the momentary (and glorious) sensation of flying, then stopped dead. Rani snorted, stomping one foot and dancing nervously back and forth. Sari looked around him curiously and saw... A circle. Glowing green. The half-breed blinked, surprised, then slid off of her horse's back. Sari approached the circle cautiously, trying to tell whether or not it was dangerous. Rani answered that question for her, though, simply by giving her a shove with his large head. "Ye-!" Sari began to cry, cut off by the sudden eerie sensation of becoming nothing. Then, a moment later, she materialised and unceremoniously fell into the back of a boy standing before her. The momentum granted to her from Rani's push, it seemed, hadn't disappeared.

Sari quickly regained her balance, looking at the boy. "Oh gods, I'm so sorry!" she exclaimed, bowing abashedly. "My horse pushed me through..." Sari eyed both him and the other two girls shyly, not quite sure what to say, or what they would think. Would they think she was odd for being of mixed blood? I hope not, Sari thought, turning her head to see that Rani had also come through. She lay a hand on his nose, smiling; at least she could be sure of one friend.

Farael had decided before she would venture around the world aimlessly that she would return to Arda, learn more about the different races, as well as copy one of the many maps that the Kayen held in their possession. It would be best that she not venture into the world blind attempting to figure out where she was, not that it would be difficult, but still, she'd rather have some sort of map in case she did get into a situation where she was utterly lost.

It hadn't taken her long to reach Arda and return to the home of the Kayen, even though she still felt like an outsider upon entering the village. It wasn't as though she was treated like one, just the opposite in fact, many of her first months there were spent catching up with friends that she had made there and talking about what had happened in the few years that she had been gone. She had been invited to many of the parties that were thrown, and yet, all she wanted to do was her research and then depart.

She wasn't going to be rude by any means though, and so she gladly accepted all the invitations and did her best to remain pleasant and content in Arda. Nonetheless it was due to all this that it had taken Farael nearly two years since she left her home in Vilya to acquire the information that she desired and to eventually depart on her journey.

Farael had decided and confirmed with Isi that she would first head to Brilthor, the land of the Shae. Though Farael knew that she could not enter the water, she also knew that the Shae could walk on the land as well, and they resembled her in appearance more than any other species.

So, taking her map, she said goodbye to her friends and took to the air, making her way, relatively slowly to Brilthor, Isi flying along beside her.

Sev nodded a greeting to the Kayen as she smiled at him. Standing still silently to observe his new surroundings. That was, until the portal crackled. Before he knew it, a good amount of force was pushed into his back. He didn't move much though, just a flinch. He turned to see a girl with golden blonde hair, and her eyes the same color, the color of wheat. But she was different, although she looked as though she was a Quenya of Me'a, she was much more beautiful, if that was possible. "It's quite alright," he told her. You could tell by his voice of his origin, being somewhat mysterious and dark, but still held the utmost sincerity. He took that time to nod to her as he did to the Kayen, and then walked over to a tree opposite of the two girls, leaning against it with good posture. He figured he'd better move before someone else came toppling onto him.

Kaiya looked around and saw more and more people appearing. "Yay! More people," she said happily. She always enjoyed meeting new people to hang out with. It was one of the reasons why she loved to explore different places. Kaiya gets to meet new people with different cultures and it amazes her. Sadly, there were only Shae that she could talk to in the water so nothing seemed to amaze her there. "I can't wait to meet them," she continued with a smile to no one particular. Kaiya spun in a circle, getting excited about this journey, but because she was spinning, it made Kaiya lose her balance and she fell on her butt once again. "Ow! Stupid legs..."

The crowd that had gathered around the other side of the portal overwhelmed Abel. He had not expected anyone to be there. Anorad gave no hint at others, and this caught Abel unpleasantly by surprise. Seorsa was the person he was supposed to introduce himself to but he found himself uncomfortable being in such a group. He withdrew from the crowd and listened, feeling thoroughly awkward, hoping someone would inadvertently point out Seorsa for him.

Once again Rhovanion returned to the fields of golden wheat, but this time something was quite different. There were no heavenly hues casting down unto the sea, no this time a storm was brewing. Waves of wheat collided as they thrashed about making them spew flecks of its droplets, grain, every which way as the winds picked up. What was once a warm and caring caress, was now vile and a fierce force.

Lightning strobed across the field as thunder clashed to the ground. Few grains of wheat became charcoaled and crisp, never to have their radiant beams again. Rhovanion felt the swells in the clouds rip open, the sheer agony that forced the very thunder out of him, as his body wept on the ground. His once freedom in the skies became a torment to his very soul. Yet it seemed the sheer pain alone kept his eyes wide open as he looked onto the world.

Loud marching footsteps waded through the stormy sea. Their bearers were clad in dark armor which clashed against the very wheat. These soldiers wreaked of power and strength, which tried to overwhelm the world itself, suppressing it. Instantly he knew who hey were. They were "Sindarin." A foul taste formed in his lips as he spoke as his eyes drifted down in disgust.

Down across the fields were other soldiers of all kinds of different elaborated armors. These were the Quenyan, elves of sorts who gathered together. They too had power and might, but it seemed controlled, reserved. Yet this reservation would soon be unleashed as the two forces on each other. Thunder enshrouded them wreaking havoc on their very souls, yet they stood strong.

As they approached within length, bows began to rise and steady. Arrows perched on string pulled back, and with mighty yells from both sides, the iron heads pierced through the sky, tearing more holes through Rhovanion, rain seeped through more wounds as his yells echoed throughout the land. Yet his yells could not cover up the screams of the soldiers who felt the arrows pierce through them. Death it had begun.

Immediately both sides crashed together, death's stench filled the air covered in blood and sinew. This war seemed like i would last forever, but quickly it sped through as if a higher power try to end it as quickly as possible, yet still he mortality rate escalated. As the size of the armies started to dwindle, Rhovanion found himself in the midst of the battlefield itself. He was unsure why he was taken from the skies, but he no longer felt the pains from above, yet a new pain entered him. As he watched up close in the front lines, he could see the faces of the soldiers, ally and foe alike, stricken down to the ground. There was nothing he could do, his feet, his body, his mind remained in the same spot as his brethren fought and died before his own eyes. The pain of watching this carnage of his kinsmen dying before him was worse than any sword could wound.

With all the force inside him that he could muster, he shouted to the heavens, "No!"

To his surprise, a voice beckoned out in response to him, "Can you no longer withstand the pain of war?" Even through this even sterner voice, Rhovanion knew it was Anorad.

"Why do you let this go on?" His voice was stricken with pain.

"No!" It bellowed through Rhovanion very being before the voice continued on, "It is not I who lets this go on, but you!"

Fear struck through him, yet he still pleaded, "Why is it I? Surely just a simple elf can not control the fate of this war."

"Look around you, and you'll see elves die by the tenfold, staining the very earth that nurtured them. Although this is merely a dream, this is just a taste of what war is, and you have all brought it amongst yourselves. Should not suffer from what you brought forth? Yet Alucia and I still feel pity for you, and so that is why I have called you to Tarna for a reason, yet you deny your destiny for another moment of sleep?"

Anorad's words stung bitterly making Rhovanion for once without words to respond.

"Fulfill your destiny, and save their future of the land, or the freedom you seek in the sky could be your torment," thunder clashed hard once again, making the pain fresh to Rhovanion's mind. "Open your eyes."

Warm rays of light flooded Rhovanion's eyes once again for the second time this morning, yet there would not be a third time, he could feel destiny pulling on his strings.

Sari swallowed nervously, reaching up to play with Rani's mane. Some people bit their nails, some fidgeted, but Sari played with Rani's hair when she was nervous. Her oddly green-blue eyes darted to meet Sev's own before moving back to the side. He didn't seem upset at all... His voice, though, was very interesting. Sari listened to the three words he spoke with fascination, her head snapping back towards him when he spoke. What a beautiful sound! Sari thought, wondering if he was from the lands of darkness. "Umm..." she began, but the boy was already moving away, towards a tree.

Rani's head snapped over to the right, and Sari instinctively followed his gaze. The sight that greeted her was another blonde girl - one falling over. Sari cocked her head inquisitively. "Are you okay?" she called out, her soft voice carrying itself easily over the distance. It was a trick she'd learned from singing. Sari glanced over to where the boy was too, but she didn't move in any direction (save to move a couple steps away from the protal) yet. Sari wanted to watch these people from afar for another couple of moments. Watching was the best way to get to know someone.

It did not take long before Rhovanion decided to stand up on the ground, and move towards Tarna. He felt almost embarrassed for dreaming instead of doing what Anorad had told him. Anxiety hung to his stomach making it hard on him as he slowly advanced towards the town. On a better day, he would of rushed towards it as quick as a coming gale. Being a procrastinator definitely had its disadvantages. Next time he would definitely show how swift wind could be and do exactly what he was told. That was the only thing he could offer Anorad, not an apology, but the will and drive to do better next time. With that thought, it was almost as if the Gods relieved him of his burden. He slowly started to pick up speed, and his mind was no longer mush. Crystal clear thoughts were his to enjoy. Most of all a smile came about his face.

Once he reached Tarna itself, he finally had his humor back, and started to make jokes at himself for being lazy. His thoughts though were cut in half as he saw within the edge of town a small group, who only one seemed to stand out was the one on a horse, and who all stood around a green spectral. He need not be told what it was, he saw one at his home town, it was a portal of connection, which would brought him here. He had thought his swift speed would be enough to make him arrive here on time, yet apparently he dosed off too long. However it was never too late to make a dashing appearance.

"Greetings fair gents and ladies," he shouted, hoping to catch their attention before he went on, "do not fear for I have arrived!" A smile spread across his face, he figured they had all gathered around here waiting for him, the man marked of destiny, to arrive through the portal. These must be his faithful followers waiting in eager anticipation to help him do anything on his quest. Ah such a glorious welcome, he had expected no less. "I hope I have not startled you all from coming not from the portal, but you see, I love the taste of the open air, and the freeness of oneself on travels," a glimmer in his eyes, "not to mention the ever grace of winds." With that said he focused on increasing the winds around them so they would all feel its caress, he hoped that it itself would prove to them who he was. So with that said he decided to use these sycophants to do his bidding, after all would that not be what they were expecting?

"Although I enjoyed the travels, it was still a bit rough," he turned to the girl with golden hair and blue eyes and added emphasis as he spoke, "perhaps one of you can fetch me some new shoes," then his attention turned towards the mysterious man against the tree, "and maybe a gourd of fine mineral water, to quench my parched mouth." Next his eyes laid onto the girl on top of the horse, "ah, you must be the keeper of my trusty steed, indeed a horse is fast of course, but I'd rather walk on my journey. Fret not though, one of you may surely be allowed to take my place instead, and as for the rest of you, feel free to do whatever amends that you had planned for me."

If any of them seemed grumbled by his request he would not even take note to it till he finished as he thought it was only due to his lack of manners. A smile grew wider across his face hoping to wipe away their concerns by showing the kindness within him, "Also I would like to thank each and everyone of you for your kind welcoming here. I know I have been called forth for a great adventure, but it will be all of you who will give me the determination to carry through. You should be proud of yourself, as I am of you. Thank you all, and may the winds fill your sails." He bowed and awaited for their response after his 'long-winded' speech.

Seorsa watched as more people began to gather, all moving to their own little area. They all seemed a bit distant. She could understand, though. This was obviously something none of them had been expecting. As Kaiya fell, though, she smiled softly and helped her new friend up. She joked, "We're going to have to get you a walking stick, huh?" She laughed a little and let go of the girl's arm.

She had been called two years before, on her fifteenth birthday. When she arrived, Mara, Alucia's daughter, had told her that she was only called because, being as peaceful as she was, they knew she would not train in hand-to-hand combat with the others. And so they had called her early for training. It appeared now, that it might be her turn to step up. She took a breath, about to speak, when another voice broke the silence.

She turned to see a young man, appearing their same age, speaking as though he was their savior or some sort. As he started speaking the orders, she blinked a few times, then took on somewhat of an irritated look. She was normally peaceful...but she did not like being bossed around. She opened her mouth to speak again, when yet another voice interrupted. She sighed in exasperation, but stopped when she recognized the young, strong and hidden voice of her friend.

Stryker came bounding through the field at top speed, heading away from the temple where the God and Goddess's children or other demi-gods or half gods stayed. His voice echoed in her mind.

"Saya! Mara has called you all! She has seen the last of the six arrive by way of the Mirror and wishes to speak with all of you before you leave." The wolf trotted to a stop next to her and sat down, not even panting after his hard run. He was a Sarnonian wolf after all. No such run could tire him.

She smiled down at the young wolf and stroked his thick fur. "Thank you, Stryker." She said aloud. "I'll be sure to deliver the message."

She turned then, Stryker staying contently sitting, and relayed the message to the others, with an added touch. "Though many of you may know from legend, Maranwe...Mara as she is called by those she knows, is the daughter of Alucia and the Keeper of Time. She will be watching over us on our trip through the Mirror of Destiny, as she likes to call it. Anyway...before we go...I'd like to at least know all of your names. I'm Seorsa....but most people just call me Saya."

Abel grew more and more uncomfortable as time passed. Painfully aware of his separation from the group that seemed to be lively without him, he began to entertain thoughts of leaving. He eyed the road leading away from the portal as a new person joined the group. It would have been the perfect opportunity to leave but the obnoxious cries of the new person grabbed his attention and he stood quite still. Apparently, they thought they were there to do his bidding. The audacity of the man rooted Abel to his spot. After his pompous address, he looked around to gauge the others reactions. A lady with a wolf spoke out and addressed herself as Seorsa. She was the one he was told to introduce himself to. Wanting to avoid attention by being the first to walk forward, he decided to wait to introduce himself after others were done.

Sev watched as the young man approached them, calling out to them as if they were his lackies. He closed his eyes, trying to suppress an irritated look. Which wouldn't of worked if he hadn't meditated minutes before. He crossed his arms as he talked to the Shea, but when he turned to him Sev couldn't help but open his eyes and raise an eyebrow. This was going to be some character, he didn't know if he could handle someone so obnoxious on their journey. He closed his eyes once more, thinking about how much meditation he'd have to go through to deal with these people.

He was almost relieved when the Kayen spoke up and introduced herself, knowing something was up when the wolf came about. He uncrossed his arms and opened his eyes, quietly looking around and seeing that no one was about to speak up. He exhaled silently and stood up a little straighter. "My name is Sevastian, but please, just call me Sev," he answered in that same dark tone. Sevastian was of course his birth name, but the only ones who ever called him by that name were his parents.

"New shoes?" Kaiya questioned with a raised eyebrow. "What's wrong with the ones on your feet? They look fine to me," she told the new guy that had appeared. Kaiya thought that maybe he didn't understand that the rest of the group were all there for the same reason. What ever the reason was, only one question ran through Kaiya's mind. How was she supposed to get him new shoes if she couldn't even walk on her own two feet?

She stood back up on her feet and brushed off the dirt that had appeared on her blue clothes. Kaiya saw that everyone was introducing themselves so she thought she would be next. "Anyway, I'm Kaiya. It's very nice to meet you," she introduced herself. She gave them all a small, but nervous, smile. She was a little nervous about meeting the people she would be journeying with, but by the looks of it, everyone seemed really nice.

"Ah it would be a pleasure to have such a lady as Mara to help us on our grand and noble quest," he smiled at the fair lady before him, Saya, she had called herself, she looked quite fine indeed in his eyes. Actually it seemed all of the girls did, although he had a strange vibe from the lady on the horse, perhaps she was a kindred spirit, as he could hint traces of his mother's homeland in her, but at the same time, a little mystery was within her. There would be plenty of time to ask her on the adventure, so he put it aside as he turned to nod at everyone who announced themselves. Even though this was his quest of destiny, he did not mind sharing the glory with them all, after all the fame he would get would be far too much to carry on his shoulders alone.

It did seem odd to him that the lady wanted them to all address themselves though, for he thought of they were going to greet him, it would be a gathering they would of prepared for days, weeks even, so they would of course get to know each other. Then again, he procrastinated in getting here, it could be a last minute thing, either way they were all here, and it seemed this lady was the acting leader of the group, so he paid his compliments to her, as well as extra charms to a lady of her beauty "Dare Saya, thank you for holding this grand cession here, it seemed so nice of you to stand here and wait all day, may the Gods have a kind blessing on your fate."

Now his attention turned towards the man he had asked for the water, the man seemed indigent to move, but perhaps he was just waiting for the group to finish announcing themselves, or perhaps he just could not take a direct hint. Either way, his mouth was not too parched, so he just put it aside, and greeted them happily, "Greetings sir Sev," actually now that he noticed, it seemed the man was enshrouded with more mystery than he could fathom, perhaps this man was one of those who lurked in those 'dark' places. It'd definitely be nice to have a man of his nature here, "I am glad you decided to participate as well, we could definitely use a man like you." He bowed at him, and turned to the next to greet them.

"Ah," he let out a small gasp, she actually caught his hint, although she did not go through with his request he was actually giddy with her reply, "Kaiya, do not fret, you are quite right, I do have on some good shoes, I suppose I was merely asking for more than I really needed. I guess one should be happy with what they have, aye? And to have you around on this trip, it'd be more than what I need," a small wink "a treasure to be hold I indeed." He tried to play his moves on her as well, her blue eyes seemed quite radiant to him and he could not help but to.

A loud breath came out as he prepared to give a grand introduction of himself, but decided since the others have not yet made their full appearance, he'd make it rather short instead, "Well I am sure you all know of me, but to answer your question, yes I am Rhovanion." A glimmer in his eye as he looked at all of the ladies, "You may call me Rove if you wish."
