OKay...... this is how it goes down.............. Shino starts a conversation with Gaara. (while Shino's bugs are sneaking their way to Gaara's blindside.) and then Shino would try to mess with Gaara's Head.... being Gaara is psycho... this would probably be his greatest weakness... and soooo ...... if he's having flashbacks... wuh woh.. its all going crazy.. you've probably got sand flyin here and there.. and (OMG WOW) Gaara finally focuses. But just as Shino's bugs go in for the "kill" Gaaras sand barrier comes up... so that means NO TAIJUTSU....or any physical touching.....(not talking Yaoi evil ) SOO.. Gaara could probably kill Shino's bugs before they would be able to drain any chakra. SOO.. eventually Shino would run out of bugs. Gaara would never run out of sand... and if worst comes to worst Gaara can always put himself to sleep. bye-bye Gaara...... HELLO SHUKAKU! soo yeah.... Gaara/Shukaku wins!

But Shino's poisonous bugs would be able to burrow past Gaara's protective sand barrier and deliver a vicious bite, would they not if knives cant get though garra's sand what makes u think bugs can?? 3nodding blaugh

Shino's bugs can burrow but gaara could kill shino with one or two moves.

Well... It depends... You don't see Shino fight for that long. With the eye that Gaara can form, Gaara would win, because he would then be able to see behind him and such.

Erm, methinks deffinitly Gaara. Really, Shino's cool and all, but his bugs would die. Quickly. They could never get past Gaara's sand, and if it actually turned out to be a good fight, Gaara could just use his sand armor, and really, Shino would have no chance.
Actually, though, does anyone else think this question might have some slightly biased answers, being in the Gaara fanguild and all? xd
