"So, are you accepted into the masses, then? I would assume so, you seem to practice many Kalona traits that others would approve as worthy. Plus you are strong and wise, and I am sure others would find that benefiting" She nodded, only because she hadn't really seen him before in a usual gathering. But, that could have been the hermit part kicking in as well.

"I know what you mean, I find herds to be ridiculous. I think that lessers like to cling to each other only because they can't do well on their own." She laughed a bit, and brought her gold eyes back on his dark ones. "I don't think its bad that you don't seek for it. I think it can be something that just appears for some, at least that's how I have seen it. Everything is just different for Kalonas as well, our way of life has its complications but I find it much better overall. The solitute and alone time that is faced is almost benefiting for us." After growing up, she spent almost all of her time alone, but it had helped her grow and become more wise in thinking.

"It is strange, I find it hard to have a comfortable conversation these days." Her shoulders were slightly bent and she was relaxed. Growing up had certainly allowed her for more pleasant discussions, and it was nice for her to feel worthy in another's presence. "So are their any others that you have met, and that have been memorable? I am interested in any tales you have." She continued to watch him, though not as defensively as when she first appeared. It didn't seem like violence would errupt, and she was satisfied with that realization. It was good to know that not everything brought violence. Plus, she really wouldn't strike another of her kind unless it was a fool, or unless it just was supposed to happen.

He was taken aback by her question. Having never really thought about it before so it was difficult to give a clear answer. "I wouldn't really know that information. My practices may be of the Kalona kind, but even practices have their quirks with different users. If I do seem strong and wise it is only from experience. But even the strong and wise can have their moments of weakness and stupidity. I have come to terms with my own, but others might not."

"The lessors will always cling to one another. They are dependant of each other for social reasons, breeding, emotional attachments. Some Kalona can have attachments like the lessors, but not to such a degree to where it affects our daily lives." His eyebrow raised curiously. Even if she did seem new into the world of adult hood, she understood it a lot better than most could. "This is true. Most would rather spend their lives in solitude then around others who would rip their ears off with chatter."

"How so? Have you had difficulties with conversations in the recent days?" Valar tilted his head slightly as he watched her. Her stance had changed curiously but his own was still rock strong. His muscles flexed with random movements every now and then. And the occasional quiver of his skin, but other than that, he had barely moved. Barely relaxed. One never knew when something would come along and you needed to spring into action. "I have met a few, but they have long since wandered away since that time of meeting." His mind tried to recall those he had met. It certainly had been a long time. "The one that sticks out in my mind as of now is the female who calls herself Gwee. An eccentric sort who looks more dragon than Kalona."

She nodded solemnly and decided to drop the subject, it probably was a weird question anyhow. Though, she didn't find anything wrong with his practices so, she was sure he would be welcomed in the many plights they did. "If the strong and wise can have moments of weakness and stupidity, then I shall be set for life." She gave out a little laugh and looked at him happily. She did make some mistakes, but it was good to know that her life wouldn't be over.

"Aye, I have never seen such a degree of attachment.." Well, actually she had- in her father. But, that was something she usually kept strictly out of the conversation. "I hate lurking around lesser discussion, it gives me awful headaches. They babble on for hours, sometimes I make myself present in an are just to shoo them away." Ah, appearance was such a wonderful thing, especially when you were as dark and scary as she was.

"When I was younger, it was hard to be taken seriously, you know? But, I understand now, their is a reason children are born with innocence, and a dim way of thinking. But, I ignored mine and moved straight ahead into a different way of thinking, I wanted to be ready for everything." Her lip was curved, and she also moved her head at his next comment. "I don't think I have ment this "Gwee", but I am sure I will meet her some day. That is usually how it works, I find myself traveling a lot so." She nodded calmly.

"I think you are one of the first stallions I have met in awhile." She clung herself to females, only to be taught proper teachings and such. "Already you have given me such helpful information.. I shouldn't judge stallions as easily as I normally do.." Her head swayed childishly. She hated stallions, but gave every Kalona stallion a chance to speak before immediately getting outraged. Valar looked like he could get gruesome in moments, but he was actually quite calm when discussing anything.

Giving her a small smile, he flicked his tail a few times as that topic seemed to be ending. So he didn't push anymore on about it.

"Ah, but you know. Sometimes lessors do have a bit of information that is useful. If our kind stuck to listening in on each other's information we would have no knowledge of things outside our own. It just depends on what conversations you stumble upon. If you come across one not worthy of your time you move along. Information is an invaluable resource. The more you know, the better prepared you are." He smirked at her comment of making her presence known just to get them to go away. "Of course, most Soquili need to be shooed away. Some will go without question, though some others need to be made to move away."

His head nodded lightly as he listened closely. "Children are born only knowing the basic instincts. Find food, stay alive and perhaps find someone to follow after. Really nothing more than a clean slate which one can impose their own opinions and rationalities upon. Some learn, while some don't." His ears twitched slightly as the topic changed to the dragon like mare. "Yes, I am sure you will run into her soon enough. She has a tendency of popping up out of no where. When you travel often you run into many of sorts."

"You're one of the first females I've met in a while. So I suppose we could say we are in the same boat on that concept. Although our reasons for such things are different I'm sure." Valar gave another quick chuckle before his eyes locked on her again. "I try and give what I can to my own kind when they seem to need it. Judging one right off the bat is never a good thing, at least personally to me. There may be those out there that make a bad name for their kind, but there are always others that are out of that loops who have...redeeming qualities."

Although it was hard for Loveless to actually imagine lesser's having useful information, she knew teh concept was true, and she just nodded slightly at his words. "That's why I try to find myself as much information as possible, I want to be prepared for anything." She grinned, though her eyes were drifting off into the distance a bit. "I am all for force, so I understand that comment well." Her eyes drifted back with a dark grin, and she only snorted at the thought of idiot lesssers.

With his discussion on children, it was almost clear to her on how some children grow and learn, while others stay behind. Just like her brothers for example, they didn't seem to learn anything about themselves, but only followed the advice from Loveless' parents. To her, that was pathetic, since every Soquili was born with their own mind. "Pity for those that don't grow themselves, I admit I had lots of help but, the help I had was strict with how I should handle things personally, and it helped me develop overall. It seemes you have a good head on your shoulders as well, and that you understand yourself compared to others." She nodded again, only because once again the facts seemed true enough.

She only grinned as he spoke, though wouldn't proceed into specifics on how she loathed stallions as a species. That was just a personal motto, but it was nice to look past it at times, just as she did with Antony as well. "Aye, I am working on this judging thing. But my mind is very specific, it feels like I only see things in one light at times." She grinned, and looked at him with a slight giggle. "Do you ever feel that way? Opinions are sometimes hard to control."

By now. The deer carcase had started to attract flies. And they're landing on Valarauco's skin sent it shivering. Flies. They were about as useful as the unicorns. Nothing but s**t kickers. He started to move away from it, lingering on the edge of the small clearing. Giving her a slight motion with his head in hopes she might follow. Perhaps a walk would help settle the food he had consumed. "Yes. There are some who need a bit of provoking to leave as they think they can best us. Or try to not be afraid when in all actuality they do nothing more than piss on themselves as they stand there trying to be brave. Such fools they are. It amuses me so, though."

"Some just need a push in the right direction. Even as adults you can still learn and perhaps change your way of thinking. Just because you are older does not mean you cannot be bent and shaped to think another way once the path has been pointed out to you." His eyes closed for a moment as he smirked to himself silently. "One tends to know more about themselves better than others when they have had the time to sit down and talk with themselves."

Nodding his head, he opened his eyes, giving her a side ways glance. "Yes, everyone has that tendency to look at things in one light at times. It's called prejudice. Though with Kalona the main prejudice is with the lessors. But other attributes or traits can also be seen as less desirable." The stallions ear twitched as she giggled. He mulled over her question to come up with a reasonable answer. "I only feel that way when I'm confronted with stupidity. Unless one can prove to me that they are worthy of my time and will not spout their idiocies I tend to waver my harsher feelings. Though I suppose it's easy to create your own opinions based on the opinions of others. But I try to make my own opinions through my own experiences instead of through others."

Loveless had picked up on the flies too, and even before she had moved herself slowly backwards. But, when Valar indicated that he wanted to move around a bit, she kindly followed, especially since she was happy with the deep conversations they were having. Valar was teaching her so much, and it was helping her expand her knowledge base. Plus, it had been awhile since she had been able to share her thoughts with someone elses so vividly. "Oh?" She said, with a slight grin. "I haven't had the fun of experience one who thinks they can stand up to me. But, as one of the female Kalonas explained it, apparently female Kalonas are seen as quite intimidating." She smiled, only because the thought had never really struck her. "What do you think, then? But, one must imagine a moment of chaos to see a female really angry."

A talk with oneself? It seemed Valar had again given off some advice for her to take in. She was sure that after this discussion, she would allow herself the time to rethink everything that the Kalona said.

"I think stupidity was a part of it for me as well.." Maybe the stallions she had met were all so stupid that she couldn't handle them. "It is more exhausting to talk to someone with no wit then to take done another." Sadly, in her eyes, it was true. Violence seemed more natural at times, whereas trying to distinguish what another said was just plain.. exhausting."I also try to make my own opinions, if I only took other people's thoughts, then I really would be.. nothing?" She looked back at him almost concerned. "So, I guess in a sense it would be better to have my own opinions, then." She nodded to herself solemnly.

Valarauco moved languidly through the trees, along a well beaten animal trail. Moving along paths that were frequented by lessors was not something his did regularly. "I'm sure you will eventually come across one. They're quite annoying really." His tail moved back and forth as he moved. Muscles slid slowly beneath his dark, cracked skin. He laughed with a slight smirk at her remark about female Kalona. "Some are yes, if they know how to intimidate well. Of course, you never want to give a female Kalona a reason for revenge. At least that's been my experience."

His smirk hadn't faded as he listened to her talk more. All this time, his mind had been mulling over everything she said. Even though it seemed like he was doing all the teaching. The conversation they were having was teaching him a few things to. Information was a good thing anyways. "Is that so? Hmm." Eyes narrowed on the trail ahead as he continued to walk casually. Valar was in no rush to get anywhere. "If you only took other people's opinions then they would have more control over your own self than you do. You would be their little puppet. Thinking what they wanted without any thought of your own." He glanced at her out of the corner of his eye. "Exactly."

So he had experience with female Kalonas? She was curious, but didn't want to upset him too badly by asking anything very personal. "Revenge? Did you have a complicated scenario?" She turned her attention to him and followed the ways that he moved throughout the trail. Loveless had never really processed the thought of revenge, but it was probably because she was too young to have those kinds of experiences. "I hope to intimidate well. I was raised by some intimidating Kalona, who taught me many lessons so, I hope I don't fail them." Plus, she had a Pride to keep for herself.

"I certainly would never want to be a puppet." She grinned and turned her attention back on the trail. "That is something that is very out of my nature, I am usually quite aggressive if anything to others." Even when she was a filly, she almost never listened to others, unless she seriously respected them.

"Out of curiosity, where are we going?" She eyes him and grinned childishly. "I am really in no need to go anywhere, but I was just curious. I have no idea where this trail leads, I flew to the cliff so." Meh, she figured that she might as well be honest. "It would be funny to run into some idiots on the way. I am sure they would be petrified to see two Kalona talking together." The thought was nice, but she hide away any happy emotions on the subject.
PostPosted: Wed Jun 13, 2007 10:26 pm

"No. I myself have not had that kind of complicated scenario. Mostly something I've come to the conclusion after observation and hearing things. I personally would not like to find myself in that kind of situation." He laughed mostly to himself. His chin tucking a bit closer to his chest as he did so. That wicked grin parting his dark lips so that they were more clearly seen. "I'm sure you'll do them proud if you remember everything they've taught you."

Valar nodded his head slightly before lifting his more upwards to it's natural position. "Some are more easily manipulated and controlled than others. But as long as you can think for yourself instead of having to look towards others for the answers, I think you'll be just fine."

Glancing at her out of the corner of an eye, his gaze seemed to burn with fire and almost glow. "I'm not sure to say the least. Then again, does anyone know where any path they travel will ultimately lead to?" The stallion had a habit of sometimes turning someones question around towards a question to them. But it also brought up interesting conversation sometimes. "You never know. You might just get your wish."

He was lucky then, even Loveless was a bit eerie at some of her female teachers that she had when she was a filly. The thought of making them angry at her was more gruesome in thought then other fears. But, the greatest teaching that it taught her, was how badly she wanted to be like that. It was sort of a goal in itself.

She continued to listen as he spoke, nodding every now and then at his advice. But, his question put her off guard, and she looked at him, and then the trail. "Well, usually I am eithering lurking away from something, or chasing something. So sometimes my travel is purposeful, but I guess not all of them have to be." Heh, imagine that.

Well, what she had said wasn't really a wish, but she smiled greedily at his words. "I don't smell anything close on this trail." She said, while focusing on the path in front of them. "I am content either way, just tagging along for the hell of it." Again she only grinned, since it was nice to be in conversation with another. After awhile, lurking by oneself did get sort of boring.
PostPosted: Thu Jun 14, 2007 12:02 pm

"Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned, I suppose." Valar's eyes lidded as he walked. Mulling over that phrase that he had heard so long ago. It almost seemed ancient in all honesty. And boy that made him feel quite old. At least when he remembered things like this.

His eyes glanced at the ground in front of him as they walked. Listening closely to her reply to his question. "The best path is usually the one less traveled. There are few lessors to run into, plus you might never know what else you could run into. Lurking away or chasing is just basic instinct. To really get a sense of what's around you, it's best to just wander sometimes."

"That's because there isn't anything close to this trail. Your a good observer." Her next statement made he, himself grin slightly. "Tagging along? Well, it might get boring after a while of just...tagging along. You seem to have brought out my philosophical side which is a rare thing show amongst others as it tends to bore them sometimes."

"I guess I do wander more then I think." She commented, while striding next to him still. "When I was younger I was more of a wanderer, but that was just because I was eager to see new things on my own." She grinned, remembering all of her experiences and such. "Wandering makes the land less dull I suppose, it allows for new areas to be found."

She always thought she was a good observer, so his compliment made her happy for a moment. "Your philosophical side?" She tilted her head and looked at him carefully. "I don't see how it could be boring, if anything I found it pleasant. Though, why is it rare?" She eyed him only suspiciously now, since her nature was to acknowledge what could be untrustworthy. "If others get bored with a good discussion, then they aren't meant for talking anyhow." She added, turning her head back on the trail. Most of her experiences were like that overall.
PostPosted: Fri Jun 15, 2007 9:06 am

"Young ones seem to be curious sometimes. I really couldn't imagine not hearing of one going off and exploring on it's own. Though...the lessors are more overbearing of how far and exactly where their young-lings go. Having experiences and learning for one's self about the world is better than being shown. Then you are able to know the world for yourself instead of how others see it." He gave a quick nod of his head casually. His mane flickering and swaying along his neck line, licking at his skin. "If everyone stayed in one spot all the time then no one would know what's beyond the roads less traveled."

There was that breathy chuckle again. It seemed more of a natural laugh to him than the deep rumbling chuckles he put out sometimes. "Yes. You're making the rusty gears in my mind turn." Turning his head, he looked at her curiously. "Well, it's because I don't talk for very long to many really. At least, not in the sense in which we are talking. It's a pleasant change I suppose. The only decent conversations I've had in a while are with myself." His eye brow raised as he watched her for a second before turning his head back to the trail. "I suppose you're right. If one can't hold a decent conversation and convey thoughts, then I guess they really aren't worth the time to gather the breath to say hello to."

"The lessers are awful with that." She snorted, remembering a few foals that she could have easily killed. "They prance around in such a shade of innocence, that many of them are delightfully easy to kill. Their parents should warn them better, its utter nonsense for a lesser child to believe they are actually worth something in the world." She sighed, remembering when she was a foal, how badly she hated dealing with the other fillys around her.

Talking to himself? That was sort of odd, but she didn't dwell on it in her mind. He had explained to her enough how much of a loner he was, so his information wasn't that suprising. "Aye, I just find it more exhausting to talk to someone with no passion on any subjects, lesser or not." She said, nodding. "But, unfortunately in this land their are many who barely think at all, and I think its terrible. But if that's a way that they choose to live, so be it." She said, calmly.
