Hyacinthus walked steadily with childish deliberation down the path, into the headquarters, and right to his mother's door. Walking into the room, he called, "Mommy, can I go eat lunch with Tristan and Erylia please?"

A young woman with cream-colored hair approached to greet them, acknowledging the pae'il kindly. "I don't see why not," she replied, smiling with approval at the adult. "I've seen him around here. He's a good person."

He beautifully smiled at the woman, letting go of Hyacinthus hand to take her hand and brush his lips against its back. "It warms me to know that you would trust your childs wellbeing into my care. It is a pleasure to meet you face to face." She rolled her eyes again. She had TOLD him not to

While a bit taken aback by his behavior, she still welcomed the gesture genially. Perhaps he had picked up that custom from someone else. So far as she could tell, she had never seen another pae'il do that. At the same time, she was still new to Telrunya. "Alright, I don't want to keep you," she said, withdrawing her hand. "Hyacinthus can be a little demanding if he gets too hungry."

He didn't entirely understand what his mother meant by her statement and frankly didn't care too much. "Okay, Mommy. I love ya." That was how he often say goodbye, even to his friends. For the little boy, it just made sense. There was nothing strange about it. Taking Tristan's hand again, he marched off and dragged the adult along behind him.

"Have a good lunch!" she called, waving to them as they walked off.

eek "oof! Farewell fair maiden!" He called over his shoulder, getting pulled out of the room and into the hallway. "Onto the kitchen?" "You did it again." She pointed out, poking Tristen in the chest. sweatdrop "I know I know..."

OOC: @.@ why, oh why, does everyone spell his name Tristan? I swear, I'm not the one who keeps mispelling his name, it really is Tristen. With an E, not an A. I don't get it

"Do what?" asked Hyacinthus, not understanding what Erylia meant. There seemed nothing strange about what Tristen had done, but then again he hadn't been paying much attention in the first place. He was more interested in what Tristen would do next, not with the adult talking to his mother. In fact, he often tuned out conversation as soon as adults started talking.

(Sorry about that. Tristan is the original spelling of the name, as in Tristan and Isolde^^; )

"Nothing Sir Hyacinthus" He chuckled and scooped him up into the arm that hand been holding his hand. "Hope you like PP and J!" She rolled her eyes again and snuggled more into tristens arm as they walked into the kitchen.

OOC: I know, I intentionally did that, just to be different/it to be different. But his cert says Tristen and I've never, not even once, spelled it Tristan. And yet even his mate still spells it Tristan. For a while I thought about putting his cert into my sig and pointing out this spelling error sweatdrop

His eyes widened when the adult scooped him up, instinctively latching onto him and not daring to squirm or else Tristen might drop him. He always liked it when someone carried him and Tristen seemed especially pleasant. The little boy cuddled close, a somewhat unusual behavior for a little boy. "My mommy uses special peanut butter that's made from just peanuts because she says that the other stuff that all sorts of other yucky stuff in it. She also uses cashew butter and butter made from sunflower seeds. She also uses special jelly that made from oranges called marmerlade." He said these things in the hope that Tristen might find them interesting or useful somehow. He didn't often eat sandwiches because the peanut butter stuck to the roof of his mouth. Hyacinthus hated that feeling and always needed to drink a lot of water to get out of his mouth.

He blinked, taken off gaurd by the oddity his mother had taken the simplistic PP & J to. Tristen in one smooth motion put both the children onto a counter. "Well you then haven't gone to the wild side. I'm going to make us sandwhiches Poor Pae style." Tristen chuckled and went to the bread box Erylia looked at the little boy, tilting her head. "Whats sunflower seeds?"

"They're from sunflowers. Ever seen one?" He scooted around on the counter, looking for a picture. "They're really big and yellow, like the sun, but they have a big brown spot in the middle. Um...." Where could he find them? "Tristen, are there any pictures here of a sunflower? I wanna show Erylia."

"mmm...lemme see..." He looked around from the six slices of bread. "Ah!" Tristen walked to the calender and picked it off of the wall. After flipping through it, he stopped at May and walked over to them. "Here we go, a feild of sunflowers." Her eyes widened "Wow...purdy..." She pressed her face closer. "Not like me, but purdy."

"They're kinda pretty, but not as pretty as irises." He reached out for the calendar. "Is there any pictures in there of irises or chrissys?"
PostPosted: Tue Jun 12, 2007 10:10 pm

"Not sure." He handed the calender over. "But tell me if you find anything. My favorite flower personally is the red rose." Tristen grinned "Call me cliche, but thats all I am." The love fae walked to the pantry and fished out some chunky peanut butter. "Well, I still think they're the prettiest flower ever, cept me of course, if I was a flower."

"Roses are okay. I like chrissys and irises the best." He flipped through the calendar, showing Erylia the various kinds of blossoms and his opinion on them. He knew all the names of the flowers as if they might've been monsters in a special trading card game. Most boys his age were memorizing the names of dinosaurs or reptiles. After flipping through the calendar with her, he chose to hand it off so she could look at all of the flowers herself. "Tristen." He drew invisble circles in a tiny puddle of water on the counter. "Do you have a boyfriend?"

"Forget sunflowers, I like Lilacs!" She spoke, beaming at May's picture. So pretty, so delicate...so purple. Tristen jumped, gaze snapping from the grape jelly he was just beginning to put away. "A... boyfriend?" He looked a bit startled at the little boy. Most people asked if he had a girlfriend. And that was one of the oldest pickup lines in the existance of pickup lines. "Like...the kind you date and kiss?" He shook his head. "No, I do not have a boyfriend."

"Oh." He actually had two mothers, but the other hadn't been home at the time. From what he understood about the world, men sometimes got with women, men sometimes got with men, and women sometimes got with women. It was something that she had told him about recently, so he was still trying to figure out when men got with men and when they didn't. "Do you have a girlfriend?"
