ugh, quick, someone pass me the 'anti-cannon' bucket, i think im gunna be sick *hurls*
It's official, Bryan and Mike have lost half of their fanbase, lol .
What does Zuko see in her anyway? i seriously dont get the connection.

What does Zuko see in her anyway? i seriously dont get the connection. Honestly, if you leave the fandom because your pairing didn't work out, were you that much of a fan to begin with?

@Butterfly Nebula: My first through upon seeing that bit of clip was to hop into this guild and look for a Zuko-Mai thread.
Though from the looks of Zuko's shorter hair in that picture, it might turn out to be from a flashback. xD

1) It's hard to tell if his hair is short or if it's up in a top knot, but either way a flashback is still a possibility.
2) I don't think it canonly possible for Mai to have run into Zuko while his hair was still buzzed, if that's what it is in the piccy. (PS: am I the only one who thinks Zuko's hair being buzzed just from cutting off his topknot was physically impossible?)
But pointing out that this could be a flashback is a good point. I don't want to rain on anyone's parade but showing that in the teaser seems like it's just... teaser. That they will kiss and it will either be a flashback or it will amount to nothing in the end.

Flashback doesn't really change anything other then they have history and at one time liked eachother. Not saying that they are going to end up together by the end of the show, just that it really doesn't change much.

And to be fair, Zuko has more of a history with Mai than he will ever with Katara at the moment. After all, Mai reportedly had a crush on him when they were younger, and had the stupidity to tell Azula about it. But they were kids back then. It was different.

Dr. Acula Flashback or not, that looks like one heck of a great kiss. And to be fair, Zuko has more of a history with Mai than he will ever with Katara at the moment. After all, Mai reportedly had a crush on him when they were younger, and had the stupidity to tell Azula about it. But they were kids back then. It was different. Oh yeah totally, that was one heck of kiss unlike the one with Jin. "I've put chapstick on more passionately!" I don't think Mai told Azula, I think it was just noticable. Like you can tell if your friend likes someone right? Zuko and Katara never had any interaction besides the whole "tell me where the avatar is!" and "you're evil!" CoD was the only time they had any real non-argumentive dialogue.

haha, this is so funny, this Maiko thread was so dead until recently when eveyone watched the trailer and was like 'HOLY SHIZZ! OMFG NO WAY! I WASNT EXPECTING THAT, BUT I WOZ really?!?!' Sad fact is, Maiko was never really that popular.
Jesus christ it's like a lot of people didnt see this comming? Of course it was comming, I personally already knew ahead of scedual because i read one of the interviews.
Personally, I have nothing against Mai, but does she really have what it takes to become a fire Nation Lord--er--ess sweatdrop

It isn't like Katara is up to being the Lady of the Fire Nation either. Kinda hypocritical of her. Plus, think of the people. "Water Tribe chick is going to be ruling our nation?! Heck no!" Just saying.

Guys, my only opinion on this whole Mai X Zuko things is this: I personally don't prefer her as a plot device for Zuko's development, I find it very unnecessary~ I want to see focus on Zuko's character, not how he hooks up with Mai and love is teh awesome! I prefer that Zuko not be with anyone to be honest...really.
I don't prefer her as a character as well, I find her very unappealing design wise and think she is only interesting as a part of her group dynamic (the crazy, the perky, and the pessimist) not solo or as a character of any interest. This is just my opinion, this is a show on nick , come one

I'd rather Zuko was with someone. I mean everyone needs someone right. Shows that even a determined and sometimes cold person still wants to be with someone whoever it may be.
