He noticed the slight nod she gave as he called her a fool, and smirked. She really was stupid, if she first agreed, only then to snap at him and disagree with the statement.
However, at her questioning of what he cared, he looked at her in mock surprise "But my dear poppet! I don't care!" deciding that playtime was about over, he stretched his back lazily while keeping an intent eye on her "I was simply bored... you were a perfect plaything to amuse myself with" he drawled.
"Of course, we all know that the cat plays with his food before... mrr..." he grinned at her evilly "...killing it, don't we?"

She got up quickly to her feet her eyes narrowing on him as she lowered her body closer to the ground. She didn't like the way he was changing this, though she knew this was going to come. She could see it in his eyes the moment he saw her before he saw her spots.
"Then why even try to give me a taste of something you think would have been a lesson." She hissed. She moved back, but stopped since the down fallen tree was there. Her fur was standing up a bit. "Then why not just have chased me a bit, and then try to kill me?" She asked. "Wouldn't that have been a little more fun?"

He shrugged, already feeling bored with this "like I said... I was bored... playing with your mind proved more than entertaining... while it lasted of course..."
He laughed coldly when he saw her back up against the tree. "Tsk, tsk" he clicked his tongue "not a very smart move, was it?" stretching our his front leg, and letting his claws come out, he watched them carefully making paralell lines in the dirt as he dragged his paw back and forth, he answered her last question with a drawl.
"Well, it is like this, poppet... brawn and chasing is fun for the most part... I will not deny that listening to your little heart beat frantically in your chest while tearing your way through the forest, but..." he got up slowly, fixing his deadly eyes on her and slowly starting to make his way towards her "...often, it is much more satisfying to play with..." as he got all the way to her still form, he half whispered, half purred in her ear "...the mind"
He drew back to watch her reaction to his move, his eyes once more showing his cold and deadly amusement.

She stretched out her back leg to the left slowly to get around the tree. "I guess you didn't do much of a mind playing game then." She said with a smirk. As long as he kept talking, she could slowly get to a area she could quickly run. "See, mind playing isn't trying to scare me, but trying to befriend me and then rip me apart." She paused. " You did neither. You just wasted your time." She moved slowly towards her out stretched leg. He claws still hidden.

Returning the smirk hard on he answered monotoneously "Then you obviously don't know much about mindgames, poppet..." maintaining a deadly quiet voice he continued "...you and I both know that you will never forget my warning about other ulayas... who knows when your brother lets you down?"
He had secondmindedly been watching her, quite obvious, attempt at escaping, and he rolled his eyes slightly "you have little skill at anything, poppet... I am not blind, I must say I'm insulted that you would think so poorly of me"
In a flash he was at her, his mind made up. She would not leave without blood being spilt. Planting a paw firmly on her shoulder he sneered "I should kill you just for that". His claws were slightly extended, and slowly small streaks of blood could be seen from where they had pierced her skin.

He was too fast, even if she had ran, he'd have caught up to her easily. As soon as she could feel the pain in her shoulder she swung at him with her extended claws. Hoping he'd at least back up so she could get a some what lead in running.
She let out a gasp from the sting of it, though that didn't stop her from trying to escape from him. She flicked her tail into his face to hope that would help to. They were used good as a weapon she found.

Dubhán easily dodged the swishing paw and dangerous claws. What he hadn't expected, was a fluffy tail in his face. He sputtered dangerously as the suprise of being hit with something hairy in his eyes made him lose his grasp on her.
Backing up slightly, he growled deeply. Had one looked closely at his eyes, they would have seen pure amusement in his eyes. Perhaps he was looking to kill, perhaps he wasn't. Nothing but danger reeked from his muscular, black, body.

As soon as he let her go, that was her moment to flee. She quickly scurried over the stump and started to run as fast as she could. She wasn't going to stick around. Nor was she about to look behind her. She knew it would only take moments before he started after her.
She quickly dodged left and right through the trees. Her heart pounding, and her breath getting shorter and shorter it seemed. God, why wasn't she good when it came to this stuff. Especially when she needed to flee the most. Being night time, didn't help either. Though, she could see in the dark, she just happened to miss stuff.
She tripped, but quickly got to her feet. Now along with her fear, was the pain in her ankle. She quickly started to run again, limping every few seconds making her just a bit slower then she was before she fell.

Watching the grey ulaya bolt, Dubhán's eyes flashed with excitement, and he laughed with glee. "So the poppet wants to play tag, does she?" he called out loud "Well, I'll be more than happy to oblige!"
Feeling his muscles spring in to action, he felt with delight the power of his legs, as he pounced out of the clearing himself. His eyes were more than used to functioning in the dark, and it took them only a split-second before he saw every single branch as clearly as if it had been broad daylight.
Ducking, twisting and jumping, he made his way around branches and trees, his body almost glided through the dense forest, his paws hardly making a sound as they connected with the ground. His black pelt blended in with the shadows of the forests perfectly, his yellow eyes being the only thing giving his presence away.
Making his way up on the side of the other ulaya, he watched her trip, which gave him a considerable advantage. Speeding up a slight bit more he made his way in front of the grey female. Coming to an abrupt halt, he turned around, and faced her, forcing her to come to a stop. Sneeringly he spoke up “Well… that was a boring game… You’re almost too easy to catch” he drawled on “Can’t tell me you’re not scared now… I can hear your heart from all the way over here” he watched her intently “Ba-boom… Ba-boom… Ba-boom…”

So this was how it was going to be? She flicked her tail as she glared at the other. There had to be another way out. Her ankle started to throb now that she was completely stopped. She didn't say anything as she searched for another way out. Her heart slowed down only a little. Well, the only thing she could do was to catch him off guard. Which she had done once with her tail, but she figured she couldn't do that again.
She lunged at him, or at least tried to lunge over him, hoping he would duck. That way she could continue her running at least to her pack that she was in. Then she wouldn't have to worry about him attacking. Unless he was insane. Which she thought he pretty much was.

He smirked when she glared at him, very well aware of the fact that he had the upper hand. He sat there, passively, watching her search for a way out, his satisfaction growing as he knew he had scared her. Now this was what he lived for. He wouldn't kill her. Not tonight anyways, he wasn't really in the mood for killing to be honest. But there was no reason for HER to know that, was there?
When she simply lunged at him, he mentally applauded her for the attempt, but he wasn't shaken from his ground. As their bodies collided, her snarled, flashing his vicious fangs, and snapping his jaws close to her throat. Had he really been bothered by her, this was probably where he would have killed her.

Her plan didn't work as she thought it would at all. He didn't duck like she wanted him to, no. He just let her jump into him. Of course, that couldn't all be bad. Her claws went for his flesh, though she didn't exactly know how to fight that well. She heard a snap, and looked to see his jaws were extremely close to he neck.
It seemed like forever before she actually hit the ground finally. Not feet first, but side first. Landing hard on the ground. She clawed towards his eyes and quickly got up as pest as she could. Her ankle still hurting, yet she was ignoring the pain as much as possible. It was time to run again. Only a few more yards away before she'd be safe back in her pack land.
She gave one glance at the foe and quickly turned to run off. She hadn't realized that she was bleeding now. Most likely from him clawing her when she lunged at him.

He snarled at her, her weakness annoying him greatly. He had hoped that she would atleast pack a little more resistance than this. A simple twist of a paw, and she was flying through the forest, landing on her side.
He watched her in silence, as she got up, glanced at him quickly, and ran off. He knew that she was almost back in her own pack land, he could smell it, and he wasn't stupid enough to follow her. Besides, he had had his fun, tested her borders and measured her strength.
She had been witty enough to talk back to him, which he had to secretly applaud her for, but her combat skills left much to improve. Overall, a mediocre performance on her part. He sighted in mock distress at this. Well, in any case, he would know that he could get some form of amusement from her if they ever met again.
He turned around and started making his way back to the area of the forest where he usually hunted, before getting to a halt and yelling over his shoulder "Don't forget my warning, poppet... he will fail you..."

She slowed to a stop for a moment as she realized he wasn't going to follow this time. She turned towards the direction he had been. The voice of the black leopard lingered in the air as she stood watching the darkness. He wouldn't fail her. How could he? Her brother would never fail her. Her confidence was greater then the black leopards threats.
She glared in his direction and limped off towards her pack. She would never talk about this meeting, not to anyone. If she did, she feared her brother wouldn't allow her to leave the pack again. His mind games would not bother her... Or she hoped they wouldn't. Though, his voice still lingered in her head. "He will fail." Part of her was frightened of his words, the words that will haunt her every time she looked at her brother..
