((It is odd! xD Glad your phone is working. Aaaaand~ Booyah! Second page! >w<))
"Aahaha!" The arctic mare laughed a loud, trotting around in the shallow end, herchest puffed out with teasing pride. She opened her eyes breifly to watch him get attacked by his hair, and the mare made an awkward sound from trying to hold back more giggles. However, they too came from her vocals quite loudly. She wasn't trying to be mean, but it was hilarious. He had such long locks, which added to his unqiue image and were probably quite the talk of conversation at times, but it had to weigh him down in extremely hot weather or in the water. Her eyes had clenched shut as se began to laugh, but that ended abruptly.
The tidal wave had silenced her giggles, and she now stood in the shallow end completely soaked. She snorted and shook head downwards, trying to rid of the water in her ears and nose. Her mane she'd deal with later, but what she would deal with was that playful stallion who drenched her. She supposed she got her just desserts, but she'd get back at him for it. What was wrong with a little playful fun anyway?
"Urg!" She growled playfully, trying to act as if she were angry. "You'd be smart to keep swimming!" She shouted, and was quick to follow him to the deeper end. She paused in her actions for a moment to get used to kicking her legs a bit in the water, as swimming was not a usual activity in the mountains. But as a quick learner, she got the hang of it rather fats and continued farther after him. He was taller, and he had traveled much more than she had, so she bet it was much easier for him.
Cosette was quite glad she had been strolling down that stream. She had met quite an amusing and intriguing Soquili, and was having a lot more fun playing in the water and learning more about the nomad than just nipping a fish.

[-throws confetti- Weeee, in no time at all too! x3 <3 ]
"Oh I plan too!" Twilight called back with a chorus of laughter rolling from his lips, luckily the first stop on his trip had been to the ocean where he learned to swim....since swimming was out of the question in the mountians and likewise to the desert. Kicking hard as his back remained above the surface, he head turned around slightly to glance back - she was in persuit.
Twisting his shoulders to the side, the larger stallion swam in a cresent as his head moved down to dip his chin underwater and mimic the way hippo would swim with his nostrils staying above the water. Secretly, his mouth opened as he drew in water...sometimes having such a dak black pelt came in handy since it was hard to see his cheeks gorge with fluid. Oh...he'd enjoy this just as much as getting her back for that, right now they were even; not for long.
Since his mouth was currently filled with water, he used his nose to inhale a deep breath as he stopped swimming and sank under the surface. Keeping his eyes open since thanks to the clear fresh water he could see clearly from below, the ebony male swam under Cosette as his form was masked by the darkness. Thank god for deep lakes. As silently as he could he surfaced just behind her, craning his neck forewards to squirt a stream of water onto the back of her head.
"Gotcha!" He almost purred, yet it sounded more like a rumble then anything feline. Swimming in a circle around her, as he brushed through her tail as it too floated along the surface of the water when he passed her side he nudged her neck with his nose. "Hope you can retaliate and not flounder....I might get bored, and follow your example." He chuckled faintly at the reminder that she had started this ordeal with that splash, Twilight could only hope she'd follow through and finish it.
With a grin tucking at the corner of his lips, his eyes were alit with a rather colt like joy....oh how he wished that he had done this sooner! He never knew the joy play could bring, his aspirations and dreams had been so urgent he'd no time to enjoy life as it came...much too eager to grow up so he could achieve his dream. Now that he could do what he loved, perhaps it was time to catch up on all the things he missed? How much did he miss out on, anyways?

((Sorry for such a late reply! I lost my drive for a while. @____@))
He had disappeared from sight, which immediatly clicked as bad in the arctic mare's head. Kicking to keep herself above water, she looked around sharply for a sign of where the dark stallion would pop up. Cosette hoped her leg might hit him (but not injure him!) so she'd have a feeling of where he was, but that didn't happen.
Instead, she felt a stream of water hit the back of her head, and she gasped. She pushed her body to turn to face the culprit, but he had begun swimming around her. She huffed, trying to feign hurt on her face, but she was trying too hard to stiffle laughs from her throat. She was kicking harder to stay above as she moved a bit more to the deeper end, heading towards the edge of this "circle" he had been swimming around her. As the mare did so, she tried to come up with a way to even out and ultimately win this little "battle."
Her sharp red eyes landed on his exceedingly long tail and mane, a playful smirk slyly made it's way onto her lips. Now how could such a lovely feature be turned against the winning stallion? She pursed her lips and recalled the event from earlier, one which involved Twilight and a fish biting his tail. Even if her idea was quite silly, he spit water at her! Now that was playing dirty!
Since his tail was so long and floated on the surface of the water, she barely had to crane her neck to even get near it. With very sharp precision, she clamped her pearly whites onto a clump of large strands (strong enough to pull on she hoped) of his tail and dived down, inhaling sharply before she lowered herself into the water. She jerked her head harshly, the adrenaline pulsing through her veins due to all the activity giving her an extra boost of strength as she attempted to pull the cocky Twilight down farther into the water.

Perhaps it would have been wise to stop while he was ahead and not taunt the mare to retaliate, yet unfortunately; he hadn't thought too far ahead.
Caught up in the fun and games of the moment, and of course staying afloat above the surface of the water he didn't even clue in that his tail was a perfect target for attack. Nor did he remember what happened last time his tail floated oh so harmlessly along the surface of the water. At least the fish wasn't near strong enough to even really harm the stallion in the slightest. A mare was a whole other story though.
She could harm his tail.
And most definately drag him along need be.
Blinking in a confused fashion he'd heard the faint splash of the water as his head craned back only to see his long elegant tail become clamped between Cosette's ivory teeth.....only to see her body sinking below the surface! Gaping his mouth open, shock spread across his face as his legs began to kick harder out of instinct especially when she vanished below the surface. Oh crap.
Crap, crap, crap.
"H-hold on a seco-" Too late. Pulled under the water by the rough head tug, Twilight barely had time to intake a breath of air before the coldness plunged around his head. Once below, his head turned to look to the mare in posession of his tail...what was it, a leash now? Narrowing his eyes in a mockingly annoyed fashion, he twisted his body and sunk lower down to meet eye level with Cosette. Oh, if only he knew a good enough comeback to exact his revenge....yet unfortunately none came to mind. Perhaps, he'd have to call it quites. Just this one time though.
Grinning foolishly, he moved his muzzle up close and blew out the air he saved in his chest; the bubbles flowing about her face before rising up to the surface. Yet....it was in that moment when something stirred as some of the air bubbles caught and lifted her locks which already swayed in the water. She was....dare he say....
...Stunning.
Blinking in the realization that he found her rather attractive, and the fact that his lungs began to scream for air; Twilight gave a few powerful kicks with his legs to pull he and if she was still hold on...Cosette to the surface as well. Breaking back into oxygen filled world, he gasped for breath as his once bouncy mane stuck to his face and neck once more; his eyes roamed over to Cosette once more.
"Okay okay....you win. Lucky break...." He grinned, of course teasing.

The arctic mare was quite sure that she had won this little match. After getting him under, his blowing bubbles in her face was a silly move. She would have giggled if it weren't for the fact that she was still under water and that would require inhaling air, not water. His tail still caught in her teeth, she saw that he was beginning to kick hard towards the suface. Did she pull him under for too long? At that thought, she began t become concious of the lack of oxygen she had been taking in, and let go of his tail as h practically brought her to the surface too. Inhaling deeply, Cosette exhaled with a series of laughs, nodding her head.
"Hee hee, thanks for admitting that," She playfully tosed her white mane in a cocky manner, her mane heavy with water. Red eyes studied the dark stallion, her attention on his long mane which floated on the surface of the water. A pang of jealousy hit her, as she in a way wished she had such long locks, but ignored the silly feeling for now. Looking back towards the ground, she gave him a sheepish grin, "I'm heading out of this lake. All this kicking is exhaustiiiiing," She exaggerated with a roll of her eyes, beginning to push herself towards the solid ground, happy to be reaching shallow waters.
Looking back at Twilight, she gestured over to where she was heading, "You want to come, or ar eyou going to swim longer?" An innocent question to ask, but she was curious to know... Maybe she'd stay longer too. She attemptedto convince herself it was because he was good company, in which he was. But something else in the back of her head said differently. Cosette knew it was that silly "girly mare" part of her brain kicking in, and she would do well to avoid listening to it.

"Don't mention it...seriously...don't."
Grinning lightly, Twilight couldn't help but put up his cocky front for the mare...it usually wasn't like him to be so standoffish even in play means yet their verbal wits seemed to get the best of his subdued arrogance. He rather enjoyed playing the pompus stallion from time to time...even though in reality he was rather peaceful and kind. Sadly for Twilight he realized he best not follow suit with that hair toss or he might get slapped with his locks again and drown in the process. Now that would have been embarassment at its finest.
"Sounds like a wonderful idea to me, i'm quite done with swimming now. I'm not one of those fish horses from legend." Although, it would have been nice if he was. Winning would have been in the bag for him if he had been blessed with such parents.
None the less, he did have wonderful parents. He supposed if he had extra appendages he might just get some unwanted attention and would probably have a bit more trouble in his travels for being an oddity. Kicking out as he swam steadily after Cosette, he was a bit relieved when his hooves touched the solid ground of the shore as he hauled his body and wet hair out of the water. Sinking into the sand lightly before heading to the grass, the stallion flicked his soaking tail to she send a spray of water onto a tree. Tossing his mane to the side, he managed to catch most of the locks in his teeth before pulling at them to let the water drip out at his tips.
"So what are your plans now that the mystery of the migrating fish has been solved?"
Smiling warmly, Twilight tossed his hair back once more to get it into its usual side as he cast a curious glance in her direction. He wondered what a lone mare like herself would do most of the day...at least he did have some family he needed to find. Of course, she probably had friends too that she could visit with and whatnot rather than he wasting her time...or he hoped that he wasn't anyways.

Pulling herself up onto the shore, Cosette shook her head and flicked her tail, trying to rid her locks of water weight. Dripping wet, the difference in temperature between the water and the land was evident. Even though it was warm, the driplets of water on her coat with the soft breeze made it a bit chilly. The arctic mare turned to watch Twilight release the trapped water from his own tail and mane, somewhat amazed at how much water his locks could hold. At his question, she pursed her lips, ears perking as she thought.
'What to do now...'
She paced a little bit towards a nearby tree and then back, eyes towards the sky as she pondered what her next plan of action was. She was coming up blank, and it bothered the mare. Looking back to the stallion, she shrugged and offered a sheepish smile, "Actually, I'm not sure. I'm kind of hungry, so I'll probably go off and look for an apple tree," A light laugh escaped her throat, though some embarressment was kicking in. She didn't like fumbling with her words, and not knowing what to say or let alone do was really beginning to annoy her.
"And yourself?"

Did he really wish to leave?
No, not in the slightest. Although a bit confuzed on this newfound sense of view on the mare, Twilight was as stubborn as a child at times and refused to be be intimidated by this new pang in his chest. Heck, if he let himself be intimidated by anything foreign he wouldn't be the adventurer that he was! As a newfound determined look crossed his face momentarily, the stallion stood tall as even now the gentle gusts of wind began to dry his locks and set them adrift in the breeze.
Hungry?
He wasn't quite starving himself, thankfully he'd learn he could last quite some time without food. None the less, something tasty certianly didn't put him off grabbing a bite of something. Yet when Cosette spoke of apples an idea lit up his features as his eyes took on a whole new light. Doing a small canter, he snorted and grinned excitedly.
"Oh! You probably have never tasted the foods down here, have you? You haven't lived till you've had Strawberries. And trust me, they don't taste like straw either."
The ebony stallion mused, remembering his troubles with thinking something which tasted like his bed would be so popular. Thank goodness he was wrong. Trotting over as his hooves thudded against the ground, he leant his neck out to snag some of her mane in his teeth to give a light pull.
"Come on! Let me show you...."
Smirking almost mischeviously, Twilight kicked back and rose onto his back legs with a loud and voracious whinny. Turning his body he dropped down into a good gallop, he knew a rather large patch of the tasty berries resided close to the seashore.

"Straw... Berries?"
She repeated the foreign word, the only image popping up in her had a blueberry wrapped up in straw. But he claimed that they didn't taste like straw so fortunatley, that image disappared. Strawberries didn't grow in the mountains, or so her faulty memory claimed. She could remember small patches of grass and a few berry bushes. Food was much more abundant closer to the ground than by the peak.
The feeling of her hair being tugged made the mare snap her attention back to the stallion. She gave him a playful glare, watching him rear back and then start to gallop. She watched for a second, thinking that a good tug back on that ridiculously long mane of his was in order, but she shook that thought away. She knew it was just to get her attention. Realization struck her to start following him, and so Cosette did. "Oh! Hey!" She exclaimed, following up with a gallop to catch up to Twilight.
How good were these strawberries? Apparently they must've been amazing, because she's never seen anyone run for food. As she attempted to busy herself with that musing, Cosette was much more interested in why he was actually bothering to still stick around. Didn't he have some family or friends to visit other than to show her berries? A little bell rang off in her head, but she ignored it.
"Ch, wait up! Where are these strawberries exactly?"

"Come on! You can run faster than that!"
Chuckling merrily, Twilight looked back to see Cosette finally began to catch up to his gallop. Slowing down slightly to allow her to gallop beside him, he glanced over with the most wide and excited of smiles. He knew from experience that strawberries didn't infact grow in the mountians since it was much too chilly for the summertime fruits to grow. The only time he'd found good ones himself was thanks to his adventures down by the sea. Oh how he had been so delighted to taste something so amazingly sweet.
"Strawberries are these little berries, smaller than apples.....they're red, with seeds on the outside, and they taste so sweet and much like how summer would taste.........if summer had a taste."
As the wind ripped through his hair, the locks immediately began to dry and take off in the breeze. True, Twilight had quite the list of things to do. He needed to go see his father and sister...it would probably take some time to get in tough with the pair. Not to mention he still wished to at least know more about his brother and mother, the two lost in his mind thanks to their strange dissapearence when he was but a young colt. Where were they anyways? However, Twilight also had this odd urge to try and stay with the mare as long as he could...perhaps it was thanks to how much fun he was having in her presence. Never before had he been able to let loose and just be a kid again, or be silly and excited. Perhaps this was all due to having to, or wanting to grow up much to fast. None the less, Cosette made him feel good - and he was too addicted to this new feeling to cut it off so soon.
"They should be just up ahead..."
Grinning, the stallion dropped back a bit to take a light snap at her flank, managing to pinch it lightly (he didn't want to harm her in the slightest!) before with a roaring laugh, nudging up against her side before taking off in the fastest sprint he could muster. Oh how the ebony male adored the feel of his mucles aching with satisfaction as he pushed himself closer and closer to the edge of his stamina. Already the smell of the ocean air wafted his nostrils, ocean hued orbs locked ahead as a boulder could be seen in the distance before it declined into a small hill. He knew that the strawberry patch was just beyond the rock in the small plateau near the ocean shore.

Cosette made a fact at the stallion ahead of her, insulted at his comment. She sped up, only to see that he had slowed to to let her run beside him. Ohhh, she was so tempted to snap onto his tail and yank him back! But that wouldn't have been very nice of her... Shaking of the thought, he arctic mare kept up a equal pace with Twilight for a while. She rose her brows at his description of the fruit, nodding. Summer was not exactly her favorite season, at least down her. it was too... Warm. But summer wasn't bad, so it had to taste somewhat good. But she had the pleasure of meeting him in the summer... And... Maybe this fruit would taste very good, maybe even fun to eat. She mused herself on this, once again blatantly ignoring the bell in her head.
She must have been musing for a while, because his words caught her by surprise and he had almost disappeared from her side... Just to get nipped at her flank. The pinch made the mare nearly jump in her gallop, her eyes widening before narrowing playfully at the dark-colored stallion. He was laughing! As laughter was contagious, Cosette tried to shut it out as she pretended to look away as if offended. The white and blue colored mare made sure to push herself harder in her gallop in an attempt to keep up with the silly stallion, not wanting to fall behind this time.
Something salty was in the air. Never having been to the ocean, Cosette scrunched up her nose as she attempted to identify the smell. "Where are these strawberries again, Twilight?" She inquired curiously, shaking her head lightly to ward off the confusing smell trapped in her nose. She had casted a glance over at him, but caught herself gazing for a bit longer than she had planned. He had dark blue-toned eyes. She hadn't noticed that before.
Snap out of it!
Finally realizing what sh was doing, she turned her eyes sharply back to the ground ahead of her, mentally kicking herself. As long as he didn't catch her, she was fine. Maybe she was just tired and not focusing right due to the lack of food? Yes, that must have been it...

Slowing down from his gallop into a steady walk before completely pausing beside the boulder, Twilight had infact missed her lingering stare as he'd been waiting for this. This scene to grace the recesses of his memory once more. As the sunlight caressed his face on its slow descent to the horizon, his eyes danced along with the sparkling waves before gazing to the nearby strawberries. Lots of memories here....
"They're here..."
Softly speaking, the stallion walked down the decline as his long tail flicked behind him. Around the clearing lay a bed of strawberries, the vines intertwining to make a carpet of green with red buds. Just beyond was a small cliffside, where Twilight had always come to think when he was a child scolded by his father for wandering off. Not that he didn't deserve it for worrying the elder stallion. None the less, whenever the young colt had seen the death of a small animal, or bug...he'd come to this spot to eat a few strawberries and dwell on things for a while.
Yet now he didn't have much to dwell on in the presence of another, as he stopped short of the berries and lowered his head to rip off a small section of the wines which contained a few luck red berries. Luckily the ocean just below the cliffside offered a bit of mist which carried on the breeze to cool down any warm summer days he might had encountered....heat definately wasn't a friend of the ebony stallion.
"Hurr, h've sum! Thur delisssous."
He mumbled softly and made a nudging motion with his snout to sway the vines slightly in his teeth's grasp. He wasn't too sure the likes and dislikes of the mare, or in fact any soquili which lived in the mountians. Surely they were not used to any of the more tropical fruits which grew down in the flatlands.

Cosette, oviously new to the area and not having an idea of what strawberries even looked like, halted roughly when Twilight had paused. Blinking hard, she shook her head before casting a glance around, her red eyes falling on the patch of the weird fruit Twilight raved on about. At his words she nodding softly and followed him, scrutizinizing the patch as they got closer. The scent of salt in the air wasn't coming from the fruit, as there was a sweeter scent that seemed to drift from where they were headed. Scrunching up her nose, the foreign scent didn't necessarily disgust her. It was just new.
Standing in front of the patch, she watched Twilight curiously as he grabbed a section of the vines. They were red, just like her eyes, but had little green seeds covering them. Giving a questioning glance to the dark stallion, she leaned her head forward and grazed her teeth against the lower part of the vine, snagging one strawberry for herself. She wasn't going to take half the vine and then spit it out. That would be quite the waste! But now as she hesitantly chewed the object in her mouth, she was somewhat regretting not taking more.
The arctic mare gave the long-haired Soquili beside her a funny look. They were sweet, but almost a little tart too. "Wow," She began, looking back to the patch, brows furrowed playfully, "They really don't taste like straw." She pretended to give a disappointed look before errupting in a few giggles. She was glad the tropical fruit didn't taste like straw. That would be a very awkward fruit. Cosette leaned over and snagged another off the vine, her tail flicking.
She chewed that one two and swallowed, smacking her lips before grinning at the male, "Hey, they're really good!"

"Its not going to kill you..."
Twilight smiled happily, spotting her few questioning looks as she'd probably have been a bit taken back with trying the new fruit. He knew better though, and of course was patient while she finally took a bite and seemed pleasantly suprised. None the less, he was all too happy that she enjoyed the berries...it was always nice to share something you loved with someone spe-......just someone.
"I know! They only grow in the summer too, its a rare treat but a good one. There are lots of sweet fruits which only grow down here as i'm sure you noticed....memory reminds me that it isn't exactly a buffet back up in the mountains."
Oh yes. He'd remembered many a times where he had to try and quell his hunger with nothing but bark. Blech. However, no matter how much he tried, his eyes kept lingering back to the open sea...oh how it made his traveling blood boil once more. To see the world was his life. Even his short stay here was already trying his nerves...he knew the time was drawing close for another adventure....all he had to do was - Oh crap! Thats right. He was supposed to meet his mother and father...well, meet his father and find his mother and siblings. He'd been so wrapped up in his thoughts that he'd completely forgot about his plans for the day.
Leanding his head down, Twilight did take a few strawberries and eat them slowly to not miss any of the savory flavours which exploded in his mouth. However, at this moment, while his head rose....he knew he had to leave.
"Listen...I would love to stay....i'd be thrilled......but I must go. I need to meet up with my past." Somehow, he didn't think it would be as lovely as staying here and having fun with his newfound friend. "I'll see you again though, soon....I'm really good at finding others. Travel well, my friend."
Without dwelling too much on the action, Twilight had stretched his neck to hers and nuzzled lightly against her jawline. With a smile and a flick of his tail, the ebony stallion slowly made his way back the way they'd came. He knew he had to meet up with his family sooner or later.....he'd just wished after this afternoon it was much later.

These fruits were delicious, and she found herself enjoying them more an more. She had to have been on her fifth by the time he began to speak, and she had abruptly stopped chewing. So he had to go...? She forced the saddened look off her face, as his welcoming presence was one of the reasons she enjoyed the fruits so much. She turned to look at the stallion and offered a friendly smile, "Alright. I'll see you sometime, Twilight."
The nuzzle caught her off guard, and she relished the short moment of contact. At least she had a good feeling they'd meet again. She was really looking forward to it. She couldn't pinpoint why, but she would be anxiously waiting. He did say he'd go with her to the mountains sometime, no? Flicking her tail, she watched him walk off.
