His exhilieration was a nearly tangible thing.. Infectious... Aritania grinned and pranced in place for a moment, considering him. "A Seeker and a King... A King who Seeks.. But do not all Kings Seek? For a home for their Pride? A Queen? A family to rule? Power and land and food for his people? Every King is a Seeker... "
The line of thought provoked an unexplainable smile, but her thoughts were her own as she waited for his response.

"Hah! Touche, my garnet Princess, but I seek nothing of that sort." He sat now, sombering up a bit, "I seek pain in other lions, abandonment, and seemingly irreparable hearts in hopes that I, in my hidden paradise of a pride, can be the one to mend them."

Aritania tilted her head at him, considering his expression and voice... She decided he was being honest, and smiled. "That is a noble, caring search then, Golden King... Do you often find broken souls to mend?"

He grinned at her, "Somewhat luckily, no. Lucky for me in that it seems all is well in the hearts of the lions of the lands, but unlucky for my pride is empty..." He couldn't help but chuckle at the irony in that. How in a sense he wanted an empty pride.
"That isn't to say that only wounded lions are permitted in my pride..." he continued with a small smile, "It is just that they are the only ones who can easily find it."

"So you would accept members that were not broken?" She asked, thinking it might be interesting to visit this King's Pride if nothing else... Afterall, what did she have to lose? And perhaps the Pride would be a good place for one of her friends to go...

"Heavens yes... If one desires a paradise they can easily find the passage into the valley. However..." he pondered a moment, "if one seeks trouble, or is simply wandering, they will not be able to find the passage unless they are pure of heart. It's a tricky path." He smiled and cocked his head at her, "Why do you ask?"

Aritania smiled. "Perhaps I wanted to know where I could find a charming golden King, should I wish to see him again? Or perhaps your talk of this Pride interests me.. Or perhaps I have friends who would benefit from your rule..."
She shrugged, golden eyes dancing. "You tell me."

He worked to suppress a quiet purr of pleasure at her interest, whether for herself or a friend, not wanting it to come across... wrong. This forced a kind of awkward smile on to his face, but his eyes sparkled nonetheless, "Oh, journey up the northern mountains to a large barren landing save for a small pile of pebbles. The pile is round save for one point in the base - follow it and you will find a well-concealed path that leads further up the mountain - it is through a non-suspicious crevice in the face of the rock..." when he explained it, is sounded simple to find. The trick of it was that the rocks only appeared to those worthy of finding the path... Even if he told another lion about the pile, it was no definant way for them to actually find the pride.
"If I happen to not be around, my sister should have arrived by now and would be there to welcome you until my return." Artemis had been severely delayed in arriving, though he knew she would have no trouble finding the valley. But somehow he knew that she was soon in arriving, if not already there now, having arrived while he had happened to meet this lioness.

Listening to him tell her how to find his home, Aritania nodded... It sounded simple enough.. She almost smiled... There had to be a trick to it... His sister? Would she be as nice as this charming King? She hoped so...
"It sounds nice." She murmured, smiling. "I'd really love to see it..."
Here's hoping that wouldn't cause too much of a stir.. And perhaps in his Pride she would find a nice home for one of her many friends... If not for herself... Aritania shook her head.. Dangerous thoughts that... She knew better... Perhaps this male was already destined for someone... 'Behave...'

Apollo nodded and smiled slightly, "Perhaps someday you will be able to. I'm sure Artemis wouldn't mind allowing a visitor if she's a friend of mine."

She fairly glowed.. He already thought of her as a friend! The way he spoke, his sister must be as nice as this charming King before her... Apollo and Artemis... Surely they were regal beings... Maybe she would go visit... Her parents didn't really need her at home right now...
"I promise to come and see you." She murmured before she could even think about her words, adding silently... 'I dearly want to see you again...'

Apollo looked around, forcing his eyes against the bright sun of the flat plains. It had been quite some time since he had last ventured from his home pride, now that there were some members who had joined. He was needed mroe foten than when he had first ventured out and met the lioness that he searched for now. Why would I even expect her to be here? It was only by sheer chance that we had met before... I'm sure she doesn't frequent the area... He sighed and peered around one last time, debating whether to return to his pride or search her out.

Calling a final farewell to her sister, Aritania parted company with Jadera, wishing she had a mate to dance off to spend the day with. Instead she found herself doing as she had done for months, pacing up to this place where she had met a stunning golden King so long ago.
Why did she even bother? It wasn't like he would be here... And yet... She followed that same path... And just around the corner was their meeting place again...
"What are you doing Aritania?" She murmured sadly, golden eyes fixed on her paws. "This is so silly..."

Apollo began to turn to return to the mountains when a flash of scarlet and gold caught at the corner of his eye. He turned back around, working hard to force back the appreciative grin that was trying so hard to burst free at the moment.
He debated calling out, but wanted to see her reaction upon his fortunate visit. To see if he wasn't out of his league... It had been awhile, after all, and she may have met someone else... Right. I can't expect anything. We come from different worlds - of course she has her eyes set to another lion...

"What are you doing Aritania?" She asked again, softly. As always, her thoughts were a jumble of images... His smile... The sound of his voice... Dreams perhaps of what his great silken mane were to smell like if she buried her face in it... How his muscled body would feel wrapped around her...
Cubs? Oh yes... There had even been such thoughts, thoughts of cubs.. Once or twice, she had even caught herself wondering about making and raising a family with him. It was then that she truly berated herself. 'Stop it, stop it!
Shaking her head to banish the tears that were trickling down her cheeks, she turned golden eyes -as brilliant as the sun first rising- to the path before her.
And stopped dead.
Was it really him? That great, golden figure. The muscular form... Those eyes. She stopped breathing for a moment, stopped walking, just froze, one dainty forepaw lifted, head tilted. The sun danced down on her back, glinted on her necklace. There he was! The male she couldn't stop thinking of.
"Apollo." She breathed, unable to hide her smile, to swallow the joy that lit her eyes and the longing that colored her voice.
