Walking along, Faeandra couldn't shake the feeling she was being watched. And on the surface, you pay attention to that feeling... She turned slightly, catching a glimpse of someone following her. Perhaps another adventurer, they were close to the tunnel exit, after all. She slowed down, to allow him to catch up, keeping her hands close to her spear all the while. There were still many dangers out here.

((OOC: Wow, be off sick for a day and look how much you miss.))
Tekira carefully settled what she thought she'd need in a bag. She was ready to go. Convincing her family of that was another matter. "I can go, Mother." she assured said woman. "I'm nineteen years old. That's old enough to go out into the world." "I don't know..." "Trust me, Mother. Once I've gotten it all out of my system, I'll come home." She hadn't told anyone of her plans to find her Hearrte. Partly because she didn't think she'd find it and partially because she was afraid they would try to stop her if she told. "I'll be fine." Her mother gave in. "Alright, but honey, please be careful." Tekira smiled, slung the bag over her shoulder, and left the house. "I will!" she called over her shoulder. As she stood at the entrance to the city, the gate between her home and all the world beyond, she took a deep breath. "I'll be just fine." she murmured. Then she started running down the street.

Zepher walked the same pace, though he was quickly coming upon the gortul."Greetings."He said, once she was in ear shot with him. He then remembered that his head was now just his skull, and wondered if she wouldn't trust him due to that like the others, though they had good reason to due so.

Tekira slowed as she neared the gate. She looked back over her shoulder one last time, took a long slow breath, then turned and raced through the exit. She looked around, and finally fully realized that she was standing on the surface for the first time in her life. "Wow." she whispered. Then she set off, alternating running and walking.

Xaron the destroyer Zepher walked the same pace, though he was quickly coming upon the gortul."Greetings."He said, once she was in ear shot with him. He then remembered that his head was now just his skull, and wondered if she wouldn't trust him due to that like the others, though they had good reason to due so. Faeandra turned to face him full on, and saw his head. She almost gasped, but kept her composure. How could something like that happen? Perhaps he was on of the spirits the Black Marauders often told her about. She with effort managed not to stare too hard, and nodded her head in greetings. Best play along until she found out whether this guy was trustworthy. "Hello," She said politely, her grip on her spear lessening only slightly so he wouldn't grow suspicious.

Tekira slowed as she spotted two others on the path. She couldn't help but wonder if they were trustworthy. The idea that they might not be kept her from making herself obvious. They were on the same path she was, so it wasn't like she was following them, she told herself. There was no reason to be afraid. But she couldn't bring herself to speak out. So she just kept walking until she was walking quite close by.

Tekira walked along the other side of the road, watching curiously as the bone-man spoke. They didn't seem to know each other, either. Even more oddly, the bone-man didn't speak as the Gortul elves did. Is he a Calan elf? Do they all have skulls for heads? Why? She put aside her ponderings and walked a little closer.

Faeandra inclined her head in acknowledgment. "I'm Faeandra. As to what I'm doing on the surface, I'm on something of a...treasure hunt, as it were. I'm an adventurer, you see." She replied guardedly, still making up her mind about him. She caught sight of another Gortul elf behind them someways down the path. My...so very crowded today...Normally I could walk days without seeing a single person...

"Ah."Zepher said, an adventurer, how convenient. He thought."Three people seen today."Zepher said, sensing the other Gortul.

Tekira sped up and walked past them with only a quick look their way and a nod. She wasn't too sure about protocol on the surface, so she went with what she knew.

Nodding her acknowledgment of the passing Gortul, Faeandra turned back to Zepher, "So, now I've told you what I'm doing. What are you doing on the surface, if I may be so bold as to ask."

Janika walked along the same path the others had went down. She walked fast so in about 4 minutes she saw the others. "Hey!" She called out.

((OOC: Ideas of a pick and shovel on a wall sometimes help. For me, anyway. My hand hurts so much...Darn door.))
Tekira slowed and turned her head when someone shouted behind her. Her first half-formed thought was that maybe the bone-man had attacked the other Gortul and she would have to help, but it was no such thing. There was just someone else. Tekira, of course, had no idea how rare it was to see others on the surface, so she accepted it as perfectly normal that there should be four people in roughly the same place all going adventuring at once.
