sweatdrop "You know, there are other ways of doing that without taking the big plunge." Dameon nodded then, looking at the glow worms around and little fae lights that illuminated the cave. "Should have brought a pic-axe..."
OOC: Now that I think about it, Shageki has been flirting around more then Junior has XD and he's not the one that was girl crazy as a teen!

Junior shook his head. "Dad, I thought it was the best choice at the time, and I stand by that choice." he said, looking about. "I don't think you'll need it. If anything I can dig for you after I get rid of the monsters."

"Best choice? Marriage hasn't been in play for years and years junior. Raken even barely knew about it." Hence why he had to go basically blindly forth, running about with a simple list of materials. But he did notice that the farther they went down, the more glitter shown on the walls...and the louder the scraping sounded further down.

"So I had Starry read a book and tell me about it. But it's what I chose and I'm sticking to it." He said, spoting a blue glimmer on the wall. "Why don't we look on the walls for the sapphire. If we can avoid those creatures it would go easier."

"Good, if you weren't certain I'd make you break it off." He murmered, looking at the walls carefully. "And I thought that gems were found normally in rocks."

Junior shook his head. "I don't do anything big like that unless I'm certain of it." He said, putting a hand on the wall. "Gems are, but judging by the sparkle on these walls you might be able to find the stone without facing the monsters."

He nodded, slowly walking down...and then spotted it. A blue glimmer. Dameon knelt down by it, a little fragment embedded in the rock wall. A fragment that very well could be part of a bigger stone inside. "Hey junior! Does this look like sapphire?"

Junior walked over to where his dad was pointing, "Yeah, I think so. But I don't know how big it is..." He said, questioning how big of a stone Dad had found really was. "Only way to know is to dig it out..." He said, left arm turning white and poofy. His nails changed to claws, and hand to a paw. "Just hope nothing breaks, this stone is kinda tough."

"Impossible to tell its size how it is, or how deep it is inside." Could bear claws really tear apart stone? Only one way to find out. "And lets hope so, else your mother will have my head on a platter. I'll keep a look out." He glanced in the direction of where they came and then farther down into the cave

"She won't know. I don't plan on seeing her till you two are getting married. And by that time everything should have healed and my kids will have been born." He said, nail digging into the wall. The stone was a bit softer than expected, so his nail went in deeper than intended. "This might not take as long as I thought it would..." Junior mumbled, scratching off a bit of the stone from around the gem. He could already tell it was a decent size.

"Your mother could make a surprise visit." He mumbled, squinting into the darkness further head. He caught a bit of movement. The outline of something big. "Junior? Think you can hurry? We have company."

"She doesn't know where I live anymore. I moved twice since getting together with Ducky. It won't happen." He said, digging a bit more off the wall. The stone was in there deep. "If it comes this way distract it, this gem is in here deep." Junior flicked a larger chunk of stone onto the floor.

eek "Distract it? You're trying to get your old man killed aren't you?" The movement came closer, revealing a faintly feline shape. He recognized it after watching one of Rakens training sessions, but unlike his, it was colored in. Real, and untamed. It growled, obsidian eyes flashing. Dameon picked up the fallen chunk of rock "Here kitty kitty kitty."

"Just for a few minutes. I should have this out very soon." He mumbled, looking up for just a moment. Catching sight of the feline he mummered something about "Big Cat!" And dug into the wall even faster. The gem was really deep in there.
