Oh ho! The little snot was enjoying doing this to him? Okay okay, so turnabout was fair but just not too much of her teasing. When he wasn’t being serious they could banter and play all day. He’d actually enjoy that.
He continued to stare at her while she watched him. The cheeky little grin made him itch and wish he had the ability to paddle her cute little tush. Oh lord, he took that back. Caelen hadn’t even spoken out loud but she’d probably skewer him if he dared to do that.
“Aye, move in.” Time to explain a bit more about what had been happening since he was gone. “When I stumbled upon the basket with Lovey, we both figured I’d be the dah. While I was gone she had ter get refuge an’ the filly bonded with another stallion.” That all was true, and really didn’t hurt, “She adores me, but too much of an uncle could be a bad thing.”
Chuckling lightly Caelen told the rest of the truth, “ Aye.. Actually I’d probably be the one ter undermine all o’ Lovey’s rules an’ make the wee one turn into a major hellion.”
He prayed that she’d say yes.
After letting Azariel and Ignacia spend a few days together and getting to bond, Caelen would have to begin the journey home and allow for Lovey to have her daughter back. Then he’d be free to be with her or to be alone. Was she ready to be wit him? Would she submit to his touch when they were alone? Ahh the fighting… He hoped for more drag’em out and knock’em down screaming fights that someday would end in loving. Not too soon… okay, he wouldn’t mind soon, but she’d have to be ready.
“I dinna know that our tangled hair bothered ye. I rather love the little yanking it requires to get free every mornin‘” Was it time to tease ?

Mm, that stare was getting just a bit unnerving, but she wasn't going to let it show. Ah, she was tempted to know how he felt to deal with a bit of teasing toward himself, but asking was out of the question and his reaction was not quite as satisfactory as she had thought it would be. Would she stop though? .....Maybe a little.
Black ears flicked a sshe listened to the explanation and his situation did seem to warrant a bit of friendly shelter, but Az wasn't so sure she wanted that. Having Caelen in such close proximity might not be good for either of them. .....But on the other hoof....
Even thinking about such thingsmade her crimson. She thanked the gods for her dark coat.
Shaking her head she decided to take a safer approach, "So you're saying that you can't be around children because you'll just naturally teach them how to torment their parents. This from the stallion who wants children of his own. You're crazy." She pretended to mull over the thoughts a bit more, just to torment him.
She snorted and gave him a cool look, "I already have my mass of white hair to deal with, yours simply adds to the problem, no matter how much you enjoy it." She huffed and sighed, taking a few steps away from him.
"If you want to stay, I don't see why you can't, but don't think you won't have to pull your own wieght around here." Az knew all too well what that phrase meant. Mashki didn't let anyone slack off.

Caelen’s minty eyes danced with more than a little bit of mirth. It had taken much more than an average amount of time to realize that she was teasing him, but once that had been figured out… Oh how hard it would be to not laugh…
His ears pricked forward keenly to match hers, a natural curiosity to soak up every detail of his mates’ behavior. Whoah.. He had a mate? Hopefully the little lass realized that if they were “just friends,” “mates,” or “life mates,” that it all meant the same thing to him.
She was his. He was hers. That was the way he willed his life to play out. Please.
“Och no, I could be around children an’ teach them ter be upstanding citizens… Ye see, the truth o’ it is that if they arena my own I like ter tease and banter with ‘em.” A slow head shake then a toss to get a few wayward curls out of his eyes, “Lovey wouldna appreciate me doin’ that, an’ since I canna behave I’ll jest be careful not ter overdue it.”
That all was true, his own children were going to be strong and smart. Otherwise he’d probably have to strangle them. Stupidity sat low, very low, on his tolerance level. Some of Lovey’s friends simply made him twich.
“If I get ter sleep wound around ye, then I canna say I mind doin’ me fair share o’ helping out.” From the beginning Caelen had pegged Mashki to be firm but fair enough in her rulings. Aye, life was looking up.

Good lord, what was she doing? She could feel her old promises writhing in their graves, and graves were where they apparently now resided. She closed her eyes for a moment, reminiscing.
That promise to never find herself attached to a male, rest in peace. That promise to never allow a male to make her want to be with him, rest in peace. There were so many little things she'd promised herself when she was younger and they might as well be dust in the wind now. Next thing you know, she'd be pregnant or something!
A grimace. No...she'd never let that happen.
Azariel looked at him and snorted, "I doubt I'll be able to trust you with any children, will I?" She asked, almost teasing. Her ears flicked back to him and she grinned, "Paradox." She chimed, "you just said a paradox. "Since I canna behave, I'll jest be careful not ter overdue it." Because you 'can't' behave, there's nothing stopping you from over-doing it." She stuck her tongue out defiantly at him. Just because.
"Just as Mashki would expect you to," She pointed out lazily, shrugging, "But who says I'd let you sleep near me?"

Oi, the lass certainly managed to have a rather sharp tongue at times. Luckily she was just in a reasing mood. Right now thought it seemed that the past was catching up with her and when the past came for a visitit.. Well, it oftentimes wasn't overly pleasant to think about.
He moved closer again and wrapped himself tightly against her. Even letting his tail swish over to be ontop of hers. Oh yes, that would drive her up the wall to be touched and held and loved on by a stallion, but she was going to get used to it. His mate. Hist heart. Oh christ, since when was he one of those stupid cliche lovey couples that made him ache to kill something. Not that he was evil, just "I lovey ou my ickle-pookie-wookie-doopie-sugar baby" wasn't his thing. At all. He'd rather be dead. Thank god Az didn't have a change to get into his brain. She'd probably laugh until sometime next week if he had heard the thoughts. Oi. But right now she just needed the comforto to let go.
Bah, comfort-smomfort. (was that a word) He loved being close.
"Ye'll be able ter trust our children with me, because I'll know that if I let them run on a rampage all willy-nilly ye'll make me sleep outside." Fighting was part of his blood, but a warm bed and an even warmer mate were twice as good even on a bad day. Haha.. Philosopical bugger he was! "Now then. Yer readin' me words too literal and I fnd I've a mind on other things."
Was it too soon to be closer. Maybe a bit of testing would let him know. Rubbing his lips along her neck and pressing closer, his voice rumbling and near her ear, "Because I canna be far from ye." Nobody was around.. time to see if the month had helped.

Azariel didn't move away when he came closer, but she didn't lean into it or acknowledge much farther. She was a bit ticked when he immediately went and flopped his tail over hers. That would get much more annoying much more quickly.
Had Az been really able to hear into his mind in those few moments, Caelen's assumption would have been correct. She would have laughed and laughed hard, but she would have been a bit touched just the same. At least Caelen understand her well enough and she knew him well enough--that something as silly as that wouldn't be a problem.
"What did I tell you about children, Caelen?" She asked softly, tone a shade shy of warning, "Besides, sleeping outside wouldn't be nearly as bad of a punishment that I would give to you." Humph, let him see any implications he chose with that.
She turned and looked at him in surprise as the atmosphere changed. Humph. So that's the way he wants to play it? Fine. I'm game. Spine and neck tingling, she looked up at him with a raised eyeborw, "Someone's wanting something today, aren't they?" She teased, voice equally as soft. She had a few of her own tricks and she might as well start using them now. She pressed her muzzle, feather-soft against his neck, rubbing and lipping a bit, just to see his reaction.

A triumphant smile had to be gagged back when Caelen realized that she wasn’t going to push him away. His neck rubbed over hers soothingly. The tail wrapping annoyed the little thing to no end. Probably too intimate.. Prolly why he liked it.
His smile spread a bit and he let her feel the curve of his lips on the neck he had finally grown accustomed to being wrapped around. “Ye know lass. We’ve both come a long long way from havin’ huge fights an’ not makin’ up at all.. To being mates an’ havin’ huge fights.” Lordy, would they ever not argue? Time would tell.
“Awright lass, I’ll nae talk ‘bout children til we have ter.” Now.. If that happened to be sooner as opposed to later, his own happiness would be sky-high. Too bad that would probably mean his own death… Damn, life got tricky some days.
Oh-ho! The little imp was certainly learning what precisely caresses and touches meant. His hoof lifted slightly to rest carefully, “Oi lass… Ye know I canna lie about what I get ter thinkin’ about yer soft coat and big blue-green eyes.” Shh… Now just be quiet so his Az didn’t burst into laughter at his talking. A slow tremble worked through his green coat, the muscles rippling and moving softly underneath her touch. The lass probably thought he was going to attack. Nope.. It felt too good.

Azariel paused and raised an eyebrow up at him, his touches were more soothing then anything else. Soothing was not what she wanted at the moment.
"You and I are both too strong-willed and stubborn to ever give up on our own thoughts and ideas," She pointed out softly, "So it's a bit obvious that fights will come about all of the time. Some people--" A distinct look up at him, revealed exactly who was that "some", "--just don't know when to quit while they're ahead." An innocent smile played cross her features.
"Right, you do that." She'd be damned if she ever had children, the process and the wait, the entire "losing of the figure" (Azariel was hardly vain but she didn't like being fat either), was definitely not something she ever wanted to have the displeasure of experiencing.
Skin shivered slightly again, an echo to his own. "Mm..." She smiled at the vague idea that formed into her mind. She took a step back away from him, far enough that he would have to step forward to reach her. She turned around, winking at him (with great amusement on her part) and walking into the forest. It seemed her plans for today just might be changing.

((OOC:: Pushing the RP's speed because we've another part that'll take longer than uhm.. baby making))
Caelen could almost feel his inability to pull back making him drown in a blind minty-green desire. Most saw red, he wasn't most...
"Aye... but that's what I love best about ye. Yer nae goin' ter meekly sit back an' allow me ter walk all over ye." That much was true. She'd tell him to get bent or some other creative terminology before she let him control their life together. "Perhaps after many... many years livin' tergether we'll learn jest when precisely we need ter quit."
Caelen wasn't going to let her get off the hook with just blaming him for not knowing the right time to stop. Sure, he pushed harder and more often, but when the mare chose to push him.. Oh boy did it ever smart. Now wasn't the time to fuss over it.
" I love ye lass... I've a need ter be with ye right now... if yer willin'" He followed her quite willingly. Caelen begain pulling himself back slowly, not relishing the loss of contact and the possible refusal that the beautiful lady could throw at him. Fading from sight while follwoing Azariel Caelen murmurred softly and pulled to the left of where she was headed, "Azariel I canna describe what I'm wantin' ter do. Run an' run fast if ye've even one doubt."

((That's fine? XD It's more interesting this way. XD;;; -shot- ))
Azariel couldn't help but glanced back, grinning, "Meek? I don't know the meaning of that word." She replied, shrugging her shoulders. His thoughts were correct. She'd no sooner let him control her like that then allow herself to be killed. It was a rough analogy, but it'd work.
"Quit?" She glanced back again, "Ah, my dear Caelen, that is not something that will happen either, even when we're on our death-beds." In fact, they'd probably die yelling at each other. It was that type of relationship.
Well, his words certainly made her heartbeat pick up. Amazing what some things can do to a person. The question was...was she goig to let any of this happen? She could say no, indeed she could, bute she wasn't fond of the word at the moment and, well, to be incredibly embarrassing about it, she didn't want to say no. Doubts were meaningless anyway at the moment.
"I'm not terribly fond of running at the moment, Caelen," She replied over her shoulder, blue-green eyes seeing him in a different light for a moment, "So, shall we things started, then?" A smile tugged at her lips once more. Perhaps she wasn't going to regret today.
