Most or all of the good stuff in 8th is in 9th, if I remember, and 9th has the added avantage of having MORE good stuff than 8th did. So, don't waste your money on 8th, just go straight to 9th when it comes out.

Invincible Machine I'd say wait two more years from now and get the same deal for 9th Ed. Although 8th was a pretty big improvement from the past core sets, 9th is so much better...... =D -wait 2yrs. wtf!!? sweatdrop

If I went straight to 9th when it comes out then the inevitability of me paying full price is.....well...inevitable. biggrin The point of buying the 8th edition box is that Ill be paying less than I would by just buying a bunch of boosters. Though when the 9th edit. packs come out, Im sure Ill horde some of those for myself as well... surprised

Although 8th was a pretty big improvement from the past core sets, 9th is so much better...... =D -wait 2yrs. wtf!!? sweatdrop Why you'd think 8th is at such a deal as it is right now? Right before a new core set releases, it's sensible that the previous one starts getting good deals. (although probably not as good as this one) But hey, we have NO IDEA how good 10th Ed. is gunna be 2 years from now..... and then I'd recommand to wait 2 more years until 10th Ed. gets a good deal. o_o

eh. i like the shackles as well. but a lot of the other cards are helpful. take the simple, yet elegant, suntouched myr. for three you get a tree three. pretty easy, and then theirs the suntouched manta (i think that's what it's called) 5 (one of each mana), Tada! you now have a 5/5 flyer. the sunburst was a little hard to use, not to mention mostly useless. but all in all. they work great in a two or tree color deck
