also remember that not every thing in the market place is spendy, sometimes someone is willing to sell something big for a cheeper price, so always look at the item and what prices are going off first before you buy one you could have gotten cheeper.

buy evolving items when its first release n sell em later on when it evolves more n gets more expensive

Booty Grab is a good way to gain gold. Just browse the aquarium forum and you'll usually run into a few of them. I've won over 500 gold in one game.
Also, posting your aquarium in your signature gives you a chance to get some gold while you're offline.

To reach the aquarium forum just go to your aquarium (Under My Gaia) and click the link labeled "Forum" in the upper right-hand corner.

If you take care of your fish, you can make tons of money. I once got a pair of fairy wings worth 20k from the overseer.

one way I have of making gold
is to keep what I win/get from daily chance then sell it at a later date
items I've noticed that sell for higher prices are things for homes
