"Natural to be angry."
Torment thought over the words the older girl had said, trying to think of what she naturally was. Was she naturally angry? She liked to giggle alot, especially when teasing others, like Taint, so that couldn't make her angry. Perhaps she wasn't as evil as her Father wanted her to be?
No. No no no. She was supposed to be evil. Evil is what she was born to be. But being evil wasn't something others had to work at, right? You were just born that way... evil or not evil. So which was she?
She looked at Loveless curiously, as she spoke of her mother. It seemed odd, not being able to feel at all. Torment herself couldn't help but feel things quite often. Fear, anger, jealousy, mad, silly, playful... she could have lots of feelings. Not that Father really wanted her to, but that was a different story.
Her small head rose proudly as the kalona spoke of the deadliness of the female race. A girl living among three males, it was easy for her to feel left out, and to think that she had more potential than any of them to be strong and ruthless... it made her feel very happy indeed.
"Yes, Father keeps mentioning a Her that we need to be angry with. He hasn't ever said a name or anything, but he's told us how she abandoned us, tried to kill us, and all this other stuff. She sounds pretty scary to me... I wonder if that's what my Mother is?"
Another giggle burst from within her as Loveless continued calling her silly. She was definitely in a silly mood, and it felt nice to have someone call her something other than worthless or stupid. She knew had to be both, if she was to continually be called that, but if Loveless was right and females were better, then she'd grow to be better than that. She'd show them all.
She scampered forward and did a quick turn, coming face to face with the other filly. "Teach me to be scary, Loveless! I don't want to learn it later, I want to learn now!"

Getting into some family drama was awkward for Loveless, since she had such mixed feelings on relationships. Though, since she enjoyed Torment as a new friend, she listened carefully as she spoke, trying to interpret the strange life she had. "I am pretty interested to know who this mother is.." She snorted, wondering who the hell would abandon their own kin, especially when they are level with a pure race of evil. "Maybe when you grow more you will understand your mother scenario, though if I ever run into her, I will tell her how much better you are then her." Loveless grinned, and felt like she and Torment could relate on yet another issue, b*****d mothers. Being better then her own mother was what she strived for, so with a dark snicker, she gleamed at Torment happily.
Torment changed the subject quickly, and Loveless looked at her and giggled. "Learn to be scary, aye? Now, that's a new one. My father says I was born scary, even when I walked out of my basket, I hissed at my brothers and mother, and even bit his leg." Oh, good times good times. "But, tis' ok ya know? I wanted to be all of these things at once when I was just growing up, but you have time, lots of it." She smiled, and looked at her friend sternly. "You will be able to learn on your own how wonderful of a trait it is." Besides, when Loveless was first growing up, she was bratty, obnoxious, and talked and laughed waay too much. As time progressed, and she learned more from others, she didn't neccessarily change, but she became more comfortable in herself.
She knew Torment would do that too, she really wasn't worried at all. "Scary is natural, does anything put into your head when you think of scary, or strong?" She tilted her head in question. "You said Taint was scary, so why? Maybe try to learn from some close examples." She winked at her friend.

"You and me both!" Torment nodded, trying to imagine what her mother could be like. She certainly wasn't sweet, if Father talked of her the way he did. Perhaps, though, that's how she and her brothers got the coloring they had? Torment knew her maroon hooves and hair, as well as the white and pink on her wings and horn, didn't come from her father, so perhaps they were from her Mother's side? It would make an interesting combination, all those bright colors. She even bet they'd hurt her eyes, like how Tarnish's bright skin glared in the sunlight.
"If you run into her, you'd better yell for me, 'cause I want to meet her!" Torment replied, being half honest. True, she did want to meet her mother, but then again, if her mother was that cruel, she sort of didn't. She felt proud though, that Loveless would think her better than the grown mare she had yet to meet. Maybe she was growing up faster than she thought she was?
Torment watched with an intrigued look on her face as Loveless regaled her with stories of her and her father. They seemed close, unlike Torment and her own Father were, and it made the little filly wonder if she was the only one with a Father such as she had. Loveless seemed to have a father who wasn't quite so scary, and didn't command and lecture as often. Were all fathers like hers, or like Torment's? She would have to investigate that later, when she met others.
"Tarnish is scary 'cause he LOOKS scary," Torment confided, shaking off the image in her head of his empty eyes. "And.. he's real quiet, and doesn't say much. I think that's what freaks me out the most... I never know what he's thinking."

"I will let you know if I ever meet this 'mother' of yours." Still confused on Torment's personal issues, she felt drained already at the conflict she must have been going through. Man, thank goodness out of all of the crap, she didn't have a mother that sounded like that!
"Silence is a very intimidating thing you know, and for that reason. When one can't interpret anything about you, it is extremely horrfying to imagine what they are thinking. There are times when I even remain quiet, only to be a mysterious figure." It really was a smart move, and Loveless had practiced it a lot. "You should try it out sometime, it makes it as if you are extremely obiediant, and almost too good to speak." She grinned, one's motions always brought about varied reactions.
"There are little things that seem so unnatural, so that is why other interpret them as scary. It is good to find out what works for you, silly." She grinned.
"Its a pity we can't fly yet, it would have been nice to take a flight." She sighed, but turned back to Torment. "I guess when we are older, then."

"Hmmm..." Torment mused. Being quiet did sound like an appealing way to look tough. And there wouldn't have to be much work to put into it, if all she had to do was keep her mouth closed.
Spreading her wings as far as they'd go, Torment let out a giggle. "I wanna fly too!"
She was tempted to try to fly around, but knew her weak little wings wouldn't be able to hold her body weight as of yet. Oh well. Perhaps one day she'd be able to fly high in the sky. It'd be fun to fly, and maybe Loveless would fly around with her too?
"We're pretty... unnatural, though, aren't we Loveless?" she asked, her wings twitching behind her as they settled back down. "I mean... there aren't that many out there that look like us, right?"

(( Not sure if the RP is close to ending, let me know in your next post if you feel the same way. I'd rather they meet up again as adults ; D ))
"Unnatural? There are more out there then you think. Well, your wings are a bit different..." But, evil's form was spreading its ways, "Plus, why would you want to mix in with anything else. I am proud to clash out as something different." She grinned at Torment, who must have been dealing with many thoughts. "You will see, as I have said before. There are so many different creatures around, it is very amazing." Her head was turned away now, and she was deep in thought, remembering her amazing encounters.
"Now now, isn't it getting late silly?" Loveless looked at the darker enviornment around them, knowing that both of them probably had to head home soon. "My father will probably be worried." She sighed, especially since she said she was only wandering off for a drink of water. It usually took Ariston at least an hour to realize she was gone. It seemed that it was past that point, and now he would probably be panicking. "Though, I will see you again, soon." She stated, as if ordering her.

Torment nodded, now starting to fret that her Father would be upset, once he discovered she had snuck off. It wouldn't matter if he was still training Tarnish though, so that eased her worries a bit.
"I'm... glad I am what I am." she said finally, letting the other foal's words sink in. She was, in a way. Sure she was different, but different wasn't necessarily bad, now, was it? "Because now, only I can be me!"
Giving the other girl a smile and a nod, she turned around and started back in the direction her brothers and Father had been in. "I can't wait to see you again too, Loveless.... but when we do, I'm gonna be SCARY!"
Giggling, she began to trot her way back to the only 'home' she knew, happy to have met such an interesting and admirable filly. One day, yes, she was going to be scary, just like Loveless said she would be. And she'd meet the dark kalona once again, and they could be scary together.
((fine by me :3 Thanks for the RP! I can't wait for them to be adults! >w< ))
