Lian Feaorne

Desirable Genius

Lian sighed, sliding off the stool as she hobbled toward the ornate doorway he had made earlier. However, she made a detour towards some of the equipment in the warehouse instead.
"Well since you don't remember...I'll remind you. You said I could take what I could and find some way to make a brace or something to assist in getting myself home." She said with her voice echoing through out the place.

If she managed to see the door through the shelves and down through the darkness she might notice the door no longer existed. As she moved away from the workbench Torment took a few steps after her, "No, I...wait. I get confused sometimes. It doesn't happen very often, but I go off on tangents and forget myself, get lost in them. My brilliance is locked in these tangents, and sometimes I get so enraptured Shar`Addan has to grab me and pull me back. Its been hard to focus lately, I've got little to keep a hold of in the material world to keep me grounded." In all, he seemed a child trying to explain the evil plot to destroy all china vases in the world to his mother and how he had nearly stopped them, but they got away after breaking theirs. Behind him several skeletal hands were shuffling across the darkened desk, tools being arrayed in a haphazard manner while several small devices were dropped softly from above.

Lian paused halfway, turning to look at him. Her ears perked up from her hair, having been hidden to keep the wind out. They twitched in an odd manner as she heard shuffling, her body leaning to one side to look past him. Narrowing her eyes, she straightened out.
"Do you...Now how to ask this...Have poltergeists running around in here? Who is the Shar` Addan?" She asked as she started to hobble back to the desk to investigate.

He blinked at her, trying to process what was going on, "Poltergeists? No...well, maybe. I used to create undead by the truckloads, and greater undead in the Aegis. I tried to get rid of them all, but some stuck around, like IV. He always seems to come back. I think I saw him in the tournament, but something was wrong with him." He started to go off on a tangent again but that same hand gave him another smack. He shook his head, glancing about wildly, "S-shar...stop. We've got company." The spotlight drawn from above flickered and went out, Torment's wings dimming as shadow dominated the area directly about him. In the shadows the vague outline of a man that looked much like Tor took shape, dressed in whites and tans more fitting of a desert environment. He was leaning on a white shaft of pure light that took the shape of a quarterstaff, his appearance relaxed as he shot his hand out again to smack Torment, his half-brother.

"Ah I see. I felt something around this place earlier. One of those things was poking around with your table a bit earlier." Lian addressed as she started to place her butt on the stool but she felt herself fall further backwards until she hit the floor with a thud. Shaking her head, she huffed.
"I detest those things...What would you give if I said I could get rid of these things?"She grumbled, patting around for the table to pull herself up again.

Tor shook his head, "Don't want to get rid of them. They're helpful, and I doubt even my father could rid me of Shar. He's quite literally my o-better half, I do believe is the correct term." The ashen grey was replaced with streaks of blue and violet eyes began to burn with a crimson fire as Torment's wings faded and the lights came back on. The image seemed to have superimposed itself over Torment and then become a reality, staff and all. A flitting blue orb danced around his head, trying to ram his skull, but Shar ignored it. Giving a bow the warrior then extended a hand to Lian, "My half-brother can be rude. He saw fit to not even consider introducing myself. Keeping such a pretty little thing to himself when he's married. For shame. My name is Shar`Addan, and it is my pleasure to meet you Lian." Where Torment had a charismatic force of personality Shar held a warrior's spirit, attracting others as would a great leader in war.

Lian stared a bit, her eyebrow twitching at the sight. The guy when through a mood swing like a bipolar person. Tilting her head some, she straightened it back out, shaking her head in some restraint to poke him and see if he would jiggle or do it back. Takings his hand hesitantly, she used the table as well to pull herself up.
"Ah, so your the one who he talks about. Never said that you were his half brother..."She said with some wonder. "But by all means...do tell...Why are you out here and not tucked away?"

Shar's smile wasn't as warm as Tor's, but had more confidence, if not simply because it was of a different sort. After helping her up his hand fell to his side, flexing absently as he spoke, "While I could amaze you with the epic tale of how my brother and myself came to be bound as we are, I'll be brief and simply say that he won. He keeps me sealed away whenever he likes, maintaining control of the body we share. I've only forced myself to the surface as violently as I have because he needs some time to sort himself out. He's right, he's losing his grip on reality because he simply has no reason to keep it. He never talks to anyone but me and maybe IV when he comes around. He hasn't seen his wife in longer than he can remember, likely because of the tournament. If anything, my time without a body has grounded me in reality even more than ever before. There are simply things you come to appreciate more when you are denied them for months at a time. If there is anything I can explain a bit more clearly than he might be able to, please don't hesitate to ask."

"You've explained it as clear as you have liked." Lian said with a smirk, sitting on the table as she adjusted her pant leg which she had rolled up. Seeing as her previous host had left the body of the man that now stood in front of her, it was going to be a while before she actually could have left herself.
"But I do have something I need...dealt with. Your half-brother said he could fix my shoulder and knee so I can at least head home. Care to take his place instead and assist?"

Shar shook his head, "I must appologize miss, but my strengths do not rest in the fields of mechanisms and the human body. I am a practitioner of the blade and staff, of the soul forged into a weapon of true power." At mention of this the white staff he held was tapped on the ground, ripples passing through the brilliant weapon as a huge spiked ball formed at the head. It too began to ripple and fell away, the whole slipping into his hand and out in the form of a longsword. The motions of the blade were quick and precise, but were quickly brought to an end as the blade reverted to a shaft of light upon which to lean. Once he was comfortable he continued, "My brother, however, had several ideas that I....overheard, I guess you could say. Nectrotic grafts, artifice replacement, transmutation and construct enchantment, and a reworking of your very soul in the intense heat of the Soul Forge, which we share. If he could focus I might suggest to him a mana catalyst reaction to instigate a positive energy influx into the wounded areas, but I don't trust his mental state enough not to turn you into a cucumber."

"I had a feeling hitchhiking was the better of two evils..."Lian sighed, sliding off of the table with a slight grunt. Putting her hands on her hips, she wobbled a bit then turned to the imprint of her butt in the dust on the table.
"Lovely..."She grumbled, smearing the image around. "Well if you can't help me I'm better off just leaving."

Shar bowed his head, "I appologize for the inconvenience, m'lady. The chariot you arrived in should still be waiting outside, and as for a door..." He whipped the staff up into the air, grabbing it in his left hand at the center and setting his right hand to the shaftwith all the fingers straight and held together. As he draws his right arm back a brilliant beam of energy forms at the center of the staff, which has apparently gained the attributes of a longbow. With a brilliant flash the bolt lances across the warehouse, zipping around obstacles at breakneck speed to slam into the wall where the door had been. The metal would melt away and leave an ellipsoid hole to exit through.

"I appreciate that, but I'm just going to borrow some extra bits of metal your half-brother has lying around. I'm widdling up something really quick as transport...I don't trust flying chairs."Lian said with a slight bow of her head in return. As she walked towards the oval-shaped hole he had made, she began picking up bits of sheet metal on the way out. Once she had reached the door, she had several inches worth of steel under her arm as she stepped a little painfully through the hole and out into the dustless world.

This must be the place..

Deitric stood outside of the Aegis, his head tilted back to look at the glaringly bright neon sign. He reached up to shift his fingers through his hair, scratching at the back of his head as he started walking again, using his free hand to push against the first pane of the rotary door so he could get inside.

"Hello?" the tribesman's voice rang out questioningly, both his arms at his sides as he eyed the shelves around him. It seemed like this place sold a lot more than just what he was looking for - and probably a whole lot of things he couldn't afford.

Rei Claybourne, a man known by the Artificer, made his way to the shop. He had an order that had been placed quite some time back, and it was time he claimed it. He missed his right arm so much. Hopefully, the order would be complete by this time.
