When Leax had seen the man with the touch for Banya the night before, he had made it a point to note the appearance of the man's wagon. This morning, while Vanna napped with Lorelei, Leax hurried to his wagon, knocked on the door.
He greeted Taniel with a smile. They talked for a few minutes.
Five minutes later, Leax exited the wagon with a big smile and a present for Lorelei - a beautiful Fire breed Banya. Vanna would love her too, Leax was sure.
Taniel watched from the door to his wagon, smiling as well. The way Leax had talked about Lorelei for the few moments they spoke of her had left an impression. The other man was clearly infatuated - for the time being. Taniel shook his head slightly, wonderingly, and then went back into his wagon shop.

Rojiza, interested in the man with the Banya, winds her way back a few wagons to Honeyed Aria. She checks again to make sure her book and pencil are tucked in her skirt. A flash of inspiration had moved her to carry writing implements with her always in case gesturing could not clearly communicate her ideas. She knocks softly on the wagon door, knowing that Banya can startle.

Taniel opened the door, looking at the girl with a kind smile. There were three Banya visible behind him: two chicks, and the Banya that she had seen last night.
"Why, hello there, again! What brings you here today, hm?"

Rojiza nods. Yes, hello again. Upon seeing the Banya chicks, though, she's unable to contain a very undignified, girlish squeak. Blushing, Ro takes out her notepad and pencil and writes for him: I'm Rojiza. I don't speak. May I visit the Banya? She hands Taniel the notepad for him to read.

Taniel took the notepad and quickly read the message. Then he handed it back to her, stepping aside and motioning for her to enter. "Go right ahead. I'm sure they're longing for new company. The two babies hatched about a week ago. Both are male, one's a Fortune breed and one's a Sea Loam. The negative looking one... well, he's mine. He's a Snow Crested."

Rojiza takes her notepad back, tucks it in her skirt, and drops a little curtsy before entering. She peers closely at the Banya chicks. Aurelia had only been a chick when she'd gotten her, but not anymore. She tentatively reaches out to stroke the Sea Loam's head.

The Sea Loam baby boy squeaked, then fluffed his wings a little. He watched Rojiza closely with large eyes, squirming when her hand brushed his top plume.
"He's a little touchy for a Sea Loam," Taniel said, after a moment, watching the interaction of the two.

Rojiza's face turns a bit puzzled. She takes out her paper and writes again: I have a Sea Loam--well, he lives in our wagon. Nobody owns Taog. He's always like this. She offers him the notepad and turns her attention back to the feathery creatures.

"Ah, I see. In my experience, Sea Loams are aloof, but generally easy to deal with. This one can easily misbehave, compared to the other Sea Loams I've raised."
As if to punctuate Taniel's point, the chick nipped at Ro's fingers, then hopped away a little. Apparently, it had had enough of being the center of attention.

Rojiza nods her agreement, giggling slightly as her fingers are nipped at. She sticks her tongue out at him and turns her attention to the golden chick with dots on its forehead. She takes her notepad back and writes again: Is this one a Fortune Banya?

"Yes, he is," Taniel said, nodding. "Not quite old enough to produce money, yet, but almost there. Banya chicks rarely tell fortunes or do much of anything except look cute. But after a few weeks, they grow into their own."

Rojiza nods. She continues to lavish attention on the Fortune chick. He'd appreciate it, then. Vain little things, Fortunes are. Like her Aurelia.

And he did like the attention, pushing his head up against her hand much like a cat would. A very needy cat.

Rojiza smiles at him, her cheeks rounding prettily. Curiously, she writes again for Taniel. Are you selling these two chicks, or are they yours? Ro gently gives the chick's head a little scritch. If he -is- selling them, she thinks, perhaps Aurelia would like a friend of her own breed. Oh wait. Nevermind. Fortunes are jealous. Aurelia already doesn't particularly care for Taog or Iagan. Finnean is alright by her, though, evidently. Fickle little thing she is.

DeArca stopped his wagon a ways, taking a stroll towards this strange and beautiful attraction. When his eyes set on the Banya Birds, he was amazed at what he had seen. "They are all incredible!" He said. Ash watched and waved at the little bird chicks, giggling. He held his tail in his hands because he was told not to touch anything, like a good boy. DeArca had his eye on a beautiful yellow chick which was an awesome color....like bright sunshine just beyond the trees. He turned to the shopkeeper and crouched down a bit. "Excuse me, sir? Is this little chick here up for sale?"
